Xperia Mini/pro :: Battery Life When Listening To Music?
Jun 22, 2012
I bought the Xperia Mini some days ago. First thing I did was to update it onto Android ICS. I listen to music quiet often. What I encounter is that when listening to music (with earphones), battery life is pretty bad. Mediaserver is eating up quiet a big chunk of my battery's capacity (have a look at the attached screenshots). I am using a 32GB microSD-card.
By the way, I have already contacted Sony support, who told me to disable the "play on device" app (did not solve the issue).
I've bought a new xperia mini pro(sk17i) 5 days ago. since the 2nd day, i'm encountering an unbearable problem with the touch. when i listen to music for about 10 mins most of the screen doesn't work. same problem rises sometimes when i go to unlock the phone drawing patterns. when i keep the phone idle for some moments to cool down evrything goes ok. BUT the same matter happens frequently. what should i do in this regard?
I am owner of SE Xmini for about half of year now. I updated my telephone to ICS.For last few days, i had a problem with device like it turned off and on alone, like restart for about 2- 5 times / day. And i see, that my battery cannot hold more than 20 hrs. Talk time is 37 min, so i dont use telephone a lot and i dont play games or something. I am also noticing, that Android OS spends much energy. Is that normal ? I try to disable programs in background, but they turn on alone by themself. I tried also everything about display and i also don`t have 3g signal turned on. BT and Wlan is always disabled
How to save battery life in Sony Ericsson Xperia ? I disabled Wireless settings , bluetooth etc even after that it is not possible to watch movie or video songs or play games for more than two hours. I found one useful tip to save little bit - "Wait till your phone gets switch off(I mean your cell battery comes to 0%). And then charge it fully". It will sure gives you a good battery life. But it doesnot work most of the time.
My IPhone 4 was working completely fine, then while i was listening to music it shuts off (the battery at 84%) . Now it won't cut back on, I've tired restoring it via itunes it just gives me an error, and I've tired holding the home and power button for 12secs. It still won't do anything
My iPhone lost almost 10% of battery in about 35 minutes while I was listening to music. All of my apps were closed and my phone was locked. This has happened a few times. Shouldn't it have lost 0%-2% instead? My phone even loses around 3%-4% at night when I'm sleeping but I only use the timer to wake up at a certain time. All the other apps are closed. I've turned off the unimportant features in settings but it's still losing battery. Should I just get a new phone?
I have nokia 5800 I am having problem with the battery it was draining fast. one on the man in nokia care told me that if ur phone is online and ur lilstening to songs then the battery is going to dry fast enough and if u switch it to offline then the battery backup will be best almost 20Hrs?
Has anyone else been having battery problems with their N97 mini battery recently. It started 7 days ago for me. I unplugged my phone mid charge, and noticed that on my phone the battery icon was still moving as if it was charging. I thought it was cute because maybe the atmosphere or my charisma were still charging my phone for me. I restarted my phone and it returned to normal. The following day my phone did the same thing, only this time I didn't restart it, but eventually my phone ran out of charge. Since then the battery life on my phone has been very poor, I only get about 8 hours max, and thats when I have not been on the net or made anything more than one 10 minute phone call. The battery icon has stopped moving when its unplugged, but the battery life is terrible.I have updated my software today so I will monitor it, but seriously is there something up with my battery? It has left me short two days now where I am in town and my phone has died. I am not happy.Any suggestions people?
I just bought this phone before couple of months ago and I love to listen radio over internet when I'm bycling. The network I have is same , my sim card is same but when I try to listen radio over internet , somehow it'll stop after 10 or 15 minutes, untill I'm clicking the play button again, why this happen I don't know, I tihink phone couldn't change the gsm protocol to wcdma protocol when it's choosed "gsm/wcdma preferred",is there any solution for this? only gsm is not enough due to data traffic rate and wcdma is also not available everywhere?
I got a brand new Xperia z3 and I was really really happy about my purchase, at least for the first 5 minutes, when I realised that the top speaker makes this buzzing sound during calls or listening to music. It is really annoying, tried everything with the settings but nothing changes.
My Z5 compact while receiving a call has very loud ringtone volume only for about 1 second, than it drops by around 60%... The same issue occurs while listening to music on speakers, it is loud for 1 second than volume drops... It is not caused by any setting I think.
I’ve got a BlackBerry Curve 8900 (ATT, running 4.2.0.108), and have had it since Oct. 2009. Battery life has always been OK - 24 to 48 hrs. between recharges.
Today though, after pulling it off the charger this morning around 8:00 a.m., I’ve noticed that I’m down to about 5% charge by 2:30 p.m. I have made no phone calls today, and have only sent/received a couple texts and rec’d two emails. I've never used a holster, have downloaded no apps, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are both off. No keys appear to be sticking. Absolutely nothing, to my knowledge, of any significance has changed on the phone since October, yet all of a sudden --literally, overnight --I am experiencing this greatly diminished battery life. The only even remotely precipitating factor I can think of is that I did a battery pull yesterday, after deleting some old photos and emails.
I’ve searched the forum, and most of the suggestions are along the lines of “turn off bluetooth/wi-fi/update OS,” but as noted, I never used those anyhow, and the OS has always been good to me.
i am new user, and just buyed 2-3 days back a new nokia 5530 xpress music, and i am not happy with it, the main problems are 1) earphone problems - the earphones are not good i mean i got the white color earphone still the sound in it is so bad that no bass in it, simple voice with low sound, also buyed a new earphone but same problem. i hate that 2) music player- well the music is very low as compared to samsung corby pro. this is xpress music but has not much sound where else samsung corby pro has more and better sound than us wat the hell. 3) battery problem- well the battery life as told music can be played upto 27 hrs, and talktime 4 hrs, and standby time, huh ( ALL FAKE). i yesterday rechraged my xpress music fully at around 4 pm, and i dint listen to any music, was just msging my friends and talk to someone for around 30 mins and then was just msging and msging and i stoped at around 12 am night, i saw my battery and its almost down i was shocked and suprise that battery only worked for around 8-9 hrs wat the hell grrrrrrrrrr. at 1 am the battery was at 1 point i mean i am so disappointed i felt like kicking the phone out my balcony. and ya when i recharge my battery it recharges in almost 20-25 mins that too full charge i mean i dont understand y is it happening like that
before 2 days iam purcharced z3plus.but i canot get 1 day battery life.me allready chekked stamina mode is on.its active.but iam cheked that used mobile continuesly.battery life only got 5 hours.if one hour mobile using 20 % charge will gone.whats this issue.
I have Neo and found that battery life is nearly doubled when using 2G as cell standby use drops from 48-50% to 13-15% which I like. I also have a -89 to -93dBm 10asu signal strength which believe is good. But when on 2G there is no data connection, so does the Neo not have EDGE or is the phone faulty in respect to data and 3G data as I can only assume that is the cause of the poor battery life.
I bought brand new X10i . then make full charge before use. I just to test see how long battery . In first day, I use only 5min calling. Then put aside, battery down 50% Second day (whole night charging) , I don't do any thing. Only call for 5min In the afternoon, battery 0%. How could they say 5h talk time ? And 140h stanby?
seems a bit odd but my phone uses a lot of battery when i'm checking facebook, reading the first page of news updates and posting a status takes about 5% battery. i know setting the network mode to GSM only helps a lot but slows internet down and i hate waiting lol , so i'm just wondering if there will any improvments to this in future updates? 5% battery for 5 mins on facebook isn't spectactuar.
I have a Neo V and it was with GB in start, then upgraded to ICS and now with GB again, but this time the battery life is lower than in the start. So how to have better battery life?
i am.almost 50 % of battery gets drained out by phone idle & cell standby . it doesnt even work for 24 hrs when m nt using gprs services n the brightness is also low. How to increase the battery life .
Am I the only person who is really disappointed with the battery life on the Z5? Â I've 'upgraded' from an LG G2 and I expected the Z5 battery to be as good as or at least comparable with the G2 but it would appear not. Â It's actually quite funny how bad it is, especially when you consider Sony's claim of it lasting two days. I'm not even getting a full day out of it with moderate usage!
I got my Z3 in March and when I got it I loved its long battery life. I'm a very heavy user of my phone and managed to get 8 hours of screen on time out of it in between charges. I'm not sure if it has been gradual or sudden but I've noticed that lately, the battery life on my phone only lasts for about 3 hours of screen on time. I use my phone for the same things as I did when I first got it.
When I got my phone it was preinstalled with 4.4.4, I got the 5.0.2 update in mid-april and I got the 5.1.1 update a few days ago.
Yesterday i bought Xperia Z5 dual, i like it, it is a fantastic phone, i liked every thing in it but i have one problem, THE BATTERY. the Battery runs out quickly. when i use snapchat in 5 minutes the battery lose at least 3% also in youtube and games. Wi-FI scaninig, location, NFC, bluetooth are off, the brghtness is under 40%. i don't know why, is it from my phone or is it a mistake from the company.
Normally xperia x10 would runout of juice by evening(overnight charging). So life was about 12/16 hrs.I rooted my phone, put setcpu on it. After lot of experiments found the best setting: set to max/min to full. Now my phone is left with 50%+(sometimes even 80%) by evening.Theoritically variable CPU should be better, actually has behaved otherwise and phone is more responsive too.
I've read many posts about poor battery life since the last Lollipop update and am suffering the same issues! However, mine appears to be because the phone is constantly awake and WiFi is constantly on. I have 'extended standby' enabled which should kill the WiFi when the screen is off, should it not?
My battery life is horrible. I can barely get a day done and when I stop using it, the battery drains really fast by about 10% in a few minutes. I'm a huge Sony lover and the fact that I can't get the actual amount this Z2 is capable of is really frustrating. pÂ
I have a Sony Xperia Ray that recently starting draining the battery very quickly. I used to get around 36hours use out of it before charging but in the last week I been only able to get 3 - 4 hours max before it is completely drained. I purchased another battery and upgraded the Android OS to the lastest version but am still experiencing the same behaviour (short battery life).
