Using either endomondo or navigation (the one who comes with the phone), both working fine before updating, now refuses to get gps. Message: searching for satellites. Not once found them. What's wrong? Yes, GPS is activated in settings.

yesterday i connected the phone to pc companion and it saus that update availabe to my phone (android 4)when i click update now the software hanging and nothing happen why?i tried to uninstall the pc companion software and install it again and restarted the pc nothing solve this?
View 1 Replies View RelatedFinally the ICS update has become available for my phone (SI 1253-7151) -PC Companion pops up a message about the new update. If I click "Update", PC Companion starts downloading the update, finishes the download and says "Preparing computer for program updates".
Then it proceeds to "Unable to install or start components for update of phone system" and my phone does not get updated.Then I have tried Sony Update Service, but now I can't even start it properly; the program crashes right after opening it. It just says "Synchronizing" and then "An unexpected error has occured. The application will shut down." so I never get any possibility to see why.Again, my phone does not get updated. Since both programs crash there must be a serious problem with the downloaded files (and they're probably shared between the programs?).Apparently I'm not the only one experiencing it; I can see in a Norwegian forum that other people have the same problem - and in the original thread that you have hidden (!).
PS. The original thread was not mine; I just replied to it since I had the exact same problem. Regarding the new "moderation strategy" I believe that the above question is not rude, it's not spam - and reposting the question is necessary when the issue has not been resolved and the original thread has disappeared..
when i'm trying to go to android-market i log in with my Google-account, but it always says that my phone isn't ready for internet connections. But the phone is already using WiFi and is connected.

I have a Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 and tried to use the Update Service to get the latest firmware for my phone, but after the new phone software was downloaded and started to install onto my phone it only got to a few milimetres of completing before it threw out an error saying that that it couldn't install the new software!!Now my phone doesn't want to work anymore! View 1 Replies View RelatedI don't know why, but the xperia active is bugging me. When I connect the phone with USB-Debugging turned off everything works fine. The PC Companion software and Windows explorer recognize the device, but when I turn on USB-Debugging (which I need because I want to test my self-programmed Android apps) the device gets disconnected instantly and I cannot select it as a target device for debugging in Eclipse.In the device manager of Windows under "Other devices" there's an entry labeled "ST17i" which seems to be the phone, but there's the yellow warning icon which indicates that no driver is installed. However, when I right-click and choose to update the driver, Windows doesn't find any driver online.I even looked for a driver here url... but apparently there's no driver for the xperia active.The Android Version is 4.0.4 (got the phone today and updated it) and my PC OS is Windows 7

Even with a strong 4g signial it will just say loading for up to a minute before it completes loading. Before the update the app would always load very fast. View 3 Replies View RelatedThis morning there was an software update on my xperia active, i clicked ok and it failed to download a couple of times, i figured maybe because i was downloading via wi-fi. i finaly downloaded it and then when finished it started to instal. after that my phone went into a "coma" it is non responsive, the only two vague signs of life is when i conected it to my PC and the little green light on the upper left of the screen lite up. but then the PC keeps making the plug-in plug-out sound and nothing happends, the other is when i press the on button on the phone that same green light flashes for a spit of a second and does not show up again. i've downloade SEUS and PCC tried to up date in both of them to update first and then to original setting and nothing, also tried the rapair, under softwear updates and nothing it takes for ever and and twice frozze in mid process.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I plug my Xperia Mini Pro to the computer and synch it with the PC companion; it tells me there is a update ready to be downloaded to the phone. When I follow step, ie read the changes etc then proceed to dowmload update; it oes all fine to star with nd it starts downloading then all of the sudden it "jumps" ahead and goes over to error message to say "Error in dowloading". I have tried alot of times so it was not just a one off. I both rebooted computer & restarted the phones and tried again. Still same msg. The strange thing is it does with both the Mini Pro & the Active.

No location data at all.I now realize that this is the first time I have tried GPS since the update and repeated tries with GPS Test and Maps shows no location. GPS Test shows 8 satellites available and using - but no location at all. My Nexus 7 was 20 feet within seconds of turning it on.I tried the purge AGPS and several resets as suggested in some of the other Experia forums
View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter I updated brand new Xperia Ray to Android 4.0.3 using PC Companion, the front facing camera is no longer active - I cannot find a way to switch from back camera to front.Before the update the switch from back to front camera worked OK.. When I checked Skype the camera was working there but still not working in main Camera application.
Also I cannot find the Sound Recorder but the Settings => Appl shows this aplication as existing on the phone.
after ICS update I have a problem with pressur sensor. This problem happens both with my bike computer application and with standard Sony pressure sensor demo. If I switch on the phone and I activate the application immediatly (before the phone go sleep) all works fine. If I wait and after a while (after display dimmed) I activate the application the pressure sensor does not send events. It happen systematically. When the pressur sensor doesn't send events it is not seen from service menÃđ (no millibar displayed). My phone model number is ST17i, Android is 4.04, kernel is 2.6.32.9-perf, build 4.1.B.0.431.
