bought a new active two weeks ago and it reboots itself at least 5 times a day. i hae changed the SD card, and reset the pone to factory settings twice now..and it is still rebooting.

Approximately 3 times a week.I already reinstalled the software via the Sony update software. But the problems still exists. Does somebody has any idea to solve the issue?
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy Z3+ randomly reboots multiple times/day(30+). I've tried restoring with PC Companion, hard reset, factory reset, safe mode, everything. I tried running diagnostics but it's a crapshoot. Sometimes I will get a neverending loading loop and sometimes I'll get a error message, "Unfortunately Diagnostics has stopped." and then the phone will reboot iself.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI had the phone for 3 months couple of weeks ago started to reboot I reflashed and it was ok for couple of days but started to reboot again. I was told that this might be a hardware issue although I used the wrong OS for my first reflash and one of the guru's from this forum helped me choose the proper OS and I will try to reflash and if this will not solve rebooting issue I'll have to send it for service.This is a US phone and I'm the second owner, please let me know if I can still use the warranty on it. I'll be in US in couple of weeks.
View 16 Replies View RelatedMy Sprint 8350 reboots several times during the day either while listening to MP3 files or just sitting on my desk. This is the second one I have that is doing the same thing. Sprint first told me that I needed to clear the log file using Alt LGLG and deleting the file. Next I was told to update the OS which I did. Lastly, they told me to clear the emails I receive and that should fix the problem. Now with my second phone it is doing all of the same thing.

there have been many posts on this issue but no real answers. why?i have done a total of five factory resets on my atrix.second was through the android recovery menu. still reboots randomly.third was through the system menu and did not install any apps, just factory defaults. still reboots.fourth was after i got a new sim card from the att store. it was mentioned to try that out. you guessed it restarts/reboots randomly.fifth and current was through the android recovery menu with clearing the cache and creating a new moto blur account as well as leaving factory default apps. nope still does it.at this point i should have a new phone right. should be practically new! actually it is, still has the sticker on the back. most of my reboots seem to be data related. some are using the stock navigation app, happens every time i use it. what a pain to have the phone reset right before my exit comes up. some reboots are while surfing the web on wifi and att 3g. hell i've had the thing lock up and reboot while browsing files and looking through photos of my kids. even switching screens for cyring out loud. these mostly seem to happen during some sort of data transfer of sorts. web, netflix, Internet, ect.
my first atrix had these issues on froyo and i replaced it within the 30 day window. the second one was fine until gingerbread. i participated in the beta and the update locked it up and wouldn't even boot. this third atrix came with gingerbread stock from moto support and has rebooted since i took it out of the box.at this point i'm counting down the days till i'm do for an upgrade from att and plan to switch to the galaxy s ii. my galaxy tab 10.1 had not had a single problem since i unboxed it! the atrix problem were the main reason i didn't buy the xoom. i wonder if these problems with the atrix are the reason the atrix 2 came out so soon..well i wish there were a real solution because now that the lapdock and other accessories are close to $50.00 from att i was about to buy them. nope......not unless these issues were resolved. hell most likely wont be a repeat moto customer here.
I've had my bb bold 9700 for about a wk now & I can't help but to get irritated at the number of times a day it reboots itself. I will say tho, that I'm mainly noticing the problem when I'm using a app such as Pandora. BUT sometimes in the middle of a text or something it'll just reboot WTH is that all about? Any solutions besides taking the phone back? Ps: I'm new to the blackberry world so plz forgive my ignorance if this is something common with all blackberries or if its something I'm doing wrong
Defy+ sometimes reboots itself several times continuously Its in my pocket and suddenly i hear a notification ring and check it, and its showing that the SD Card has been mounted meaning it was rebooted.And it will keep rebooting 4 or 5 times. However it has not done this in a few weeks now...
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an app, Activity Classifier, that uses the handset accelerometers to provide information on activities and total exercise. It automates exercise tracking, classifies activities by type and quantifies aerobic intensity. Live data streamed from an Xperia Arc using the app is displayed in a blog. While it is possible to use on the Active it is unfortunately more difficult on the Active than the Arc because the Active accelerometers have a fault that is hard to get around. The problem is that the accelerometers sometimes take quite a while to start sampling when either started or the sampling frequency is changed.Occasionally it can take longer than 90 seconds. The problem can be seen with the app Accelerometer Frequency. Switch between sampling frequencies and notice that sometimes it switches instantly and sometimes it doesn't. To minimise battery consumption Activity Classifier acquires data from the accelerometers for 6 seconds out of every 30. If no other app is using the accelerometers they will start and stop every sampling period. On the Active they frequently don't start and the app detects a faulty accelerometer. The app has an option to keep accelerometers on and if this is selected it will work OK but battery consumption goes up a lot. The Active comes with a pedometer app called Walkmate. I can see from the Accelerometer Frequency app that Walkmate keeps the acclerometers running at 50 Hz and running Walkmate at the same time as Activity Classifier will make Activity Classifier work OK as well. Walkmate seems pretty power efficient and uses less than half the power of the market leading pedometer app Accupedo, run in power balanced mode, but it counts a different number of steps.

View 2 Replies View Relatedyesterday out of the blue the display on my active stopped working. i connected it to the pc and did a reset/reinstalled the firmware but still no display.i can play music using the original headphones and the headset controls and the home/menu/back buttons light up when i press the unlock key but that's about it.oh yes and i think i managed to unlock the screen even though it was totally back as i could could play/pause music and skip tracks using the screen controls (pressing where i guessed the music controls were).

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I woke up this morning my phone was turned off so I try to turn it on by holding the power button, it only flashes the LED (red) 3 times between short pauses, no vibrations then stays turned off.Next, I tried to plug the charger in then holding the power button. still the same symptoms as above.Lastly, I tried plugging the charger / connector to my laptop then plugging the phone in. When I did that, the red LED shows 1 blink on intervals as opposed from the 3 blinks above.I know I still have my warranty but I want at least try and fix it because I don't like going out on weekends (the days of the week where I get to rest) so I'd rather try a fix here at home.

This is very odd and I'm starting to believe it's a firmware bug so I ask you to report this to the dev team. Basically the phone will reboot and that's it, but not a full reboot, because it won't ask for pin code, it will just close all apps, play the boot animation, and go back to the lock screen. The only way to tell it happened is either to be looking at the phone as it reboots or check under diagnostics -> system incidents. My phone is totally stock and I don't have anything too weird installed that would mess with the system. It has been factory reset and refurbished.

I have used the Sony PC Companion to repair the phone twice (reset and reinstall all the software) but still have the same problem.
I have read o lot of posts here and have no SD-card installed and also removed my SIM-card. I have tried to use the phone in safe mode and without any WiFi. Nothing worked.
I suspect that my phone reboots or turn itself of when the phone gets hot... but it could also be for some other reasons.
I just upgraded my x8 to the 2.1 version. After the upgrade im experiencing reboots a lot of times. What can I do?

I have repaired 2.1 once and same happens. Is there anyone else having this problem? Someone know why the phone suddenly reboots after this upgrade? View 9 Replies View RelatedSometimes I unlock my phone and the screen remains black, then the phone reboots but weirdly it doesn't ask for the SIM pin number. Other times I notice the phone reboots by itself and I notice it because obviously the screen lights up during the boot animation. This happens very rarely, so far it has happened about 3 to 5 times in a couple of months but it's still mega annoying when it happens.
And don't tell me to factory reset, I already did that less than a month ago and it happened anyway. Factory resetting is just a huge waste of time 99% of the time especially if you are not rooted.
My phone seems to have a mind of its own recently. It is sometimes hangs. It also sometime reboots itself even when not touching it.
What can I do to fix this problem?
I have a Xperia x10 mini pro and it was working fine up untill now. It swicthed off and when i switched it back on , it just loads till the Sony Ericsson Logo, and Loops the whole time . It does not want to go past that stage.
