my Z5 Compact, compared with Samsung S3, LG G4, Galaxy Note, iPhone, has a "slow refresh" of GPS.
I use it for running (with Runtastic) and my gps track It is always shorter than the other (4/5%).
I noticed that in bends the track is cut as if the refresh signal is too slow...
I live in a poor reception area on the Rogers network. I've noticed that when I go into the basement the phone drops a signal pretty quickly. I am okay with this and is expected. My issue is when I get back on to the main floor, the phone does not pick up a signal again for a long time. Sometimes even toggling airplane mode doesn't work. My wife's iPhone does the same thing.
Anybody else having this problem?

Problem: list of available WiFi networks will not refresh until WiFi switch has been toggled off/on.
Even "refresh" in the settings will not work.
I have a wonderfull Sony Xperia Active. But in the past this Widget do not refresh the Tem and date.I must always delte the widget and made it new.All other things refresh korrekt.I allready installed no Apps then the sony apps and a other Weather App.

I can see my own profile ı can see the messages but I can't see or refresh the home page (news feed). I returned my phone to the factory settings and reset all data. At first it was working after a few hours it turns into same problem again.

1. ringtones is very slow after 2secounds, but all other notification works good.
2. today for first time wen checked with earphone both music and in call it works in both earphone and as while as phone.
3. i could not use camera after second day only back camera, problem was if i take any photo it would saved in only black or in preview it would be black. both problem raised with lot of heating in back.
so decided to repair with pcc, i had activated myxperia. i disabled it did repair but after repair phone was locked and it was showing my id or password was wrong. so i searched in forum and decided to wipe phone in myxperia, unfortunately in myxperia it was showing locked but i could not wipe. i was getting an error saying that faied try again. after keeping set a side for half an hour it took my id and password and restarted. now i have disabled myxperia but in myxperia still it is showing device is protected. if i try to see location it fails same has earlier.
After repairing from pcc i have not seen any problem in camera except over heat after taking 3or 4 shot.
I use xperia z3, I loaded from SD card avi and mkv film, but when I play video app, voice behind, view next, I used mx player same, I used bs player voice and view stabil but slow, I played SD card same, i played internal memory same, I can't play film, I try another phones, no problem. I try wipe reset, try another film formats, but problem same.

having fewer apps, it consumed almost 95% of my RAM, ROM etc.... and unable to install any app further due to low memory error.
Also there are some unwanted apps like facebook, timescape, games app, sony playstore, videos unlimited, BBCIplayer, Liveware manager and many more pre installed apps which I never used. How can I remove them ??
Would bootload unlock of my mobile help me in removing those apps ?? and get more RAM, ROM space?
I just updated my X8 to the recent update using PC companion.The update was smooth and no problem at all.But today, the phone was slow even opening sms?I had tried clear all sms and free up the memory to 52MB, but still slow, the circle keep on running.I also tried reboot few times already.anyway to downgrade as the previous version works fine for me? I think it is 2.1 too.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have couple of doubts regarding any software provided by sony ( earliers sony ericssion) for mobile, camera, cd player etc...since this fourm is for mobile I will talk about my xperia neo.I am buyer of various sony products since 2005. Purchased like cd player, w810i, xperia neo and various headphones. software comes with these products especially PC companion and media go looks good but not friendly for use.PC companion doesn't detect phones for which it is designed for. There could be various reasons for not detecting phone but there should be some solution.For any issue most of the time final conclusion is re-install. If a software required frequent "Re-install" then it is not at all good software.
Also when installing pc companion MBs of data gets installed. But when it come for use it simply doesn't work for a smart phone for updates and all.looking for an alternative or some mechanism that can avoid PC companion for install and upgrade.Intall/upgarde software for android is as good as any OS install then some alternatives should be there if sonys own software doesn't work.I have seen to remove microsd card before update software. This means pc companion have some problem if sd card is present in phone. this could be because of size of memory card.I this case for 2012 line up mobiles, there are internal memory itself is 16gb or more. Then I am sure people will face problem and it will not get rectified as they cannot remove internal storage while updating or installing software.Also there are 2 softwares update service and pc companion. Why 2 softwares??? why cannot sony make a simple single software which is robust enough for any smartphone dependency external software?
Recently, I updated my xperia Z3 DUAL (D6633) to a 23.4.A.1.232_R4C firmware version. After that, I realized that internet browsing using WIFI connection is slow. Page takes too long to load.
Tried using either Chrome and Firefox. Results are the same. Disabling WIFI and navigating with mobile data (3G/4G) runs fine.
Made factory reset, clear cache and software repair using Phone Companion. Problem remains.
I tried other wifi netwoks. Tried same wifi using other devices. Problem is with Z3.
