my x10i keeps dropping its wifi connection. it is in an "excellent" signal strength area. i can now see that is related to my poor mobile network coverage at home. when the mobile network signal drops, then the wifi turns off and the turns on again, scans and reconnects. when the mobile network connects again (after a minute or two) the wifi turns off, then on again, scans and reconnects. this cycling is happening every minute or two. which leads to lots of frustrating network errors. exact issue described below with Internet clip: [url]. things improve if i turn off 3g and set network to gsm only.
I got my Nexus 5 on the 2nd of this month. I'm on Android 4.4.4. Just today, I was out and about and I realized that, although I was going into settings and turning Wi-Fi off, it just kept turning it right back on! (I had been using the Wi-Fi at the mall, then later I went to a friend's house and connected to my friend's Wi-Fi, which did not work.) So, I turned on my data, only for it to turn off after I guess about 30 seconds. I turned it back on, went on WhatsApp, in the middle of replying to a text from my friend it goes off yet again! What the... So, I went into settings and turned data on, and Wi-Fi off. As I watched, the Wi-Fi switched itself back on, and, predictably, even though there were no wireless networks to connect to, my data turned off as well.
This is really inconvenient. What could be causing the problem? I don't think I've downloaded any apps recently, but they do sometimes update. It was working fine on Thursday, but I've had my data off since then. I also booted into Safe Mode, and the problem doesn't seem to persist.
I am using blackberry 8900 curve. My fone was going well, but one day my fone was not turning on,then i connect it to charger, and then red light turns on(LED) and it remained on for a while but my phone didn't started and then i see a battery icon with a cross on it on screen. I thought it as a battery problem, and bought a new battery. My fone get on and it ws running effiecintly, but after a week again my fone failed to get start and then again battery icon with a cross on it begin to appear. Now my fone is not turning on and when i connect it to charger then LED turns on for a while and then a battery icon with a cross on it appears. My fone is not turning on.
This is a strange one, last night I picked up my phone and had no data signal at all but a fairly strong phone signal, I assumed it was ee, they've been appalling lately, I turned my phone off and on, toggled flight mode on and off and it made no difference, I went into the network menu and I noticed that the mobile data was turned off, I turned it back on and all was well again. Just now I picked my phone up again and my mobile data was switched off and my phone was disconnected from the network altogether, how is this possible?
I know this has been asked before about other devices, but I have not been able to find a solution anywhere.
When turning off mobile data, each time I get a warning that reads "Unless you use Wi-Fi, you will no longer be able to use the Internet, Email or other apps that require a data connection."
I turn mobile data off and on frequently throughout the day. This message has become gradually more annoying. I think it is bad UX and at the very least, there should be a way to disable it.
I just upgraded my phone today. The phone was working at the T-mobile store out of the box with the limited battery charge the phones ship with. I came home did some stuff .. and the battery was running low. It warned me so I went to plug it into my computer and continued using it. It said it was charging. After a short amount of time the screen powered down and flashed a grey battery logo with a white loading symbol and powered off again and back on doing the same thing.
After this ... the phone would no longer power on even though I left it connected via USB to the laptop. Kind of pissing me off since the phone is brand new. Can I resolve this or is the phone defective?
So I use a Blackberry Curve 8530 and I have been having serious problems for the last two weeks. Every time I try to turn on my "Mobile Network" in Manage Connections, the device crashes then tries to reboot. It will continue trying to reboot until the progress bar in the Blackberry loading screen is full, then crashes again. It will do this until the battery is entirely drained.Because a drained battery causes the Mobile Network to automatically shut off, I can then plug the phone back into charge and it will turn on and be fine - until I try to turn on the Mobile Network, upon which the process repeats itself. Is it possible to disable all the telephony functions of the Xperia Ray and still be able to listen to FM radio ? (to improve battery life)
"Plane mode" is unfortunately not an option as it doesn't allow listening to the radio... (whereas it allows you to connect yourself to a Wi-fi network or to receive GPS signals, for instance) Would be great if there was a widget "Enable/Disable GSM networks" or something like that, as there is for other functions... but I couldn't find such a thing.
So like a month ago my phone crashed ( i dont know why) then when i tried restarting it didnt. however if i put it in charging then after 3-4 hours it started up.After this i avoided restarting because this lead me to wait 4-5 hours and sometimes even 6 hours. Yesterday it crashed and i pluged it in charging it didnt turn on the entire night ( i was playing cod and so was awake the whole night ) even PC companion and Update service didnt help.
I just bought my xperia ray today from phones for you and as ive had an android xperia x10 mini before i knew to do an update, so as soon as i got home i plugged it in to update and halfway through it disconnected from the computer but it was still charging, so i unplugged it but it wasnt doing anything so took the battery out and tried turning it on, the little light at the bottom comes on and it vibrates as though its turning on but there is no picture coming up at all, took it down to phones for you straight away and they said they hadnt heard anything like it happening before
yesterday i was sending a text to my mate and after sending the text i put the phone in my pocket. decided to look at the phone a few mins later and was frozen on the sending message screen so i decided to turn it off but nothing worked. so i took the battery out and after that everytime i turned it on it would light up and vibrate but thats all i changed sims and battery but nothing works
For the last week the screen has been switching itself off - usually when I really need to use it! It will still ring and sound alarms but without the screen I can't answer it.
My Bluetooth turned off the other night and will not turn on at all for anything, even after a full wipe and install with Sony companion. It's happened to me before when pairing with a new device then once disconnecting the device the Bluetooth won't turn back on again. Some how in the past I was able to get it working again but not this time.
My Bluetooth keeps turning on by itself. Seconds after I turn it off. This has started to happen since today morning.
I deleted all the apps I've installed since yesterday. And I disabled smart connect app. It didn't solve the issue. I rebooted my phone many times. It didn't solve it. What can I do more? I have a xperia z3
Just a day back i connected my phone to my pc and got a notification from PC companion saying that a update is there for my phone.I accepted this and the update started[note: i had updated my phone to ICS 4.1.B.0.463 or something and then i got themsg to update to 4.1.B.0.578] the contents got downloaded then it started to update half way through it got stuck and then got a error saying " Update was not succesfull" so i tried some more times did everthing according to procedure but still same problem and now my phone not even starting

Is there a way to exit out of the appin the app settings to turn it off completely or will I always have to use advances task killer everytime
I found this site trying to find answers and found a few topics on the issue but none had fixes that worked for me, so I'm going to go into as much detail as possible so you can address the issue as quickly as possible. I also do not have access to a computer that I can download stuff to at the moment.I received the X10 last night from my girlfriends mother as she got an upgrade, I believe she had no problems at all with the phone. It turned on fine and seemed to have quite good battery last night, but I needed a SIM card. This morning I went to the shop to buy a SIM and the phone worked seconds before getting it but after the SIM was inserted would not turn on or charge. (and being an idiot got the wrong network could his contribute to the problem?)
on my X10 bluetooth it shows turning on. after few seconds of showing turning on. it show turned off. it doesn't turn all at all wht do i do, tried restarting, updating n what so ever possible.
I have my phone less than a year,i do like the phone but recently the speaker went so i had to listen to all calls on loudspeaker,,but most recently the phone just decides to turn itself off every time you make a call, this is reallly annoying me as it shows a full battery,i have tried updating the phone and all sorts, brought it into a guy who fixs phones and still not working,,if any has had similar problems i do not want to get rid of this phone..the phone is an experia mini less than 1 year old
My Neo V keeps turning up the volume randomly to max and whenever the volume bar near the top shows up I turn it down, but it just goes back up. And it sits there and doesn't let me lock the phone, or occasionally, the phone won't sleep. Then it makes the noise when you press on the volume control repeatedly. It also does that when I have headphones in, just turns the sound all the way up. Is it something wrong with the internal configurations of the phone or the button?
I tried to update the phone by connecting it to computer thru PC companion and followed the instructions till the time it asks to disconnect the phone from computer remove battery for 5 secs and turn on again. Now at this step the phone is not turning on and whenever i press the power key, red notification light is blinking 3 times and nothing else is happening.
