View 1 RepliesEvery time i lock the screen the SIM locks as well, meaning I have to enter the SIM pin code every time I unlock the phone! Also no one can call me since the SIM is locked. This happened once in a while on 1.6 but since my update to 2.1 this morning it happens every time.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am new to this forum and have owned an xperia mini pro for about 2 weeks now. It has a problem that every few days or so the screen locks up and becomes unresponsive and the only way to reset it is to do a battery pull. My question basically is should I take it back to the shop, or is it likely to need to have android reinstalled or something?
It did this on the very first startup after unboxing, it froze up when choosing the language setting, so obviously it is unrelated to any other apps i have installed. At the time I didnt think it was too much of a problem but then as I say, it started doing it every few days.
Have ICS .587 running on my Ray, but for as far back as i can remember, the phone annoyingly goes into screen lock if i dial a busy number.I've been unable to find an setting that disables this- how to get rid of the screen lock- it's annoying to have to unlock the phone each time i need to redial a number!

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen protecting the Neo with "Visible Pattern Screenlock", the default "Swipe to unlock" does NOT disappear. This means that if you want to protect your phone, you have to BOTH swipe AND draw the unlock pattern. This must be a bug? how to circumvent this?
View 9 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to disable all the telephony functions of the Xperia Ray and still be able to listen to FM radio ? (to improve battery life)
"Plane mode" is unfortunately not an option as it doesn't allow listening to the radio... (whereas it allows you to connect yourself to a Wi-fi network or to receive GPS signals, for instance) Would be great if there was a widget "Enable/Disable GSM networks" or something like that, as there is for other functions... but I couldn't find such a thing.
1) the phone while using apps the screen will freeze become unresponsive then eventualy it shuts down & restarts
2) using the SE sync thing i lost all my contacts from my phone book they were not in phone or on the sync side both said contacts 0
3) missing calls i had my friend come round the other night & ask me if i had my phone switched off i told him no & asked why he said he'd been trying to phone me for over 3 hours on his mobile his daughters mobile & even the landline also txt messeges some times come through 24 hours after they have been sent
My new sony xperia z2 has problem of screen lock automatically when i receive or make calls. I cant lock off screen pushing power button as mentioned in settings. Its completely turn dark and i have to wait until the other party hang off the phone.Specially when i mistakenly make a call i have no control on phone to cancel it because of automatically screen lock and same problem when making a call and converts into voice mail.
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen I am not using and not sliding out my keyboard sometimes it gets automatically to the horizontal or when I slide out my keyboard, the screen gets not horizontal. At worst case it lacks between horizontal and vertical mode.
But when I am locking the phone with not slided out keyboard, sometimes it automatically unlocks the screen because the phone thinks that I slided out my keyboard, and normally when you slide out your keyboard at locked mode and don't have any code or password it unlocks the screen.
We have 3 Ray phones in our family. I have upgraded my to ICS, but the other two still have the original android OS - GB. Problems that we experience on all three phones are as follows; If I look at the video file and turn the phone 90 degrees (it does not matter if I turn it left or right), then screen lock lock the screen immediately. I can not unlock the phone as long as the phone is in the same position. I have to turn it back 90 degrees for it to go to unlock it. The same happens even if I want to play games and have to turn my phone 90 degrees, or if I want to photograph or record a film. If I do not turn my phone 90 degrees, then everything works as it should, but it is supposed to be able to rotate the phone, depending on what you do without screen lock locks my phone immediately?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI found this site trying to find answers and found a few topics on the issue but none had fixes that worked for me, so I'm going to go into as much detail as possible so you can address the issue as quickly as possible. I also do not have access to a computer that I can download stuff to at the moment.I received the X10 last night from my girlfriends mother as she got an upgrade, I believe she had no problems at all with the phone. It turned on fine and seemed to have quite good battery last night, but I needed a SIM card. This morning I went to the shop to buy a SIM and the phone worked seconds before getting it but after the SIM was inserted would not turn on or charge. (and being an idiot got the wrong network could his contribute to the problem?)

View 9 Replies View RelatedI got my Nexus 5 on the 2nd of this month. I'm on Android 4.4.4. Just today, I was out and about and I realized that, although I was going into settings and turning Wi-Fi off, it just kept turning it right back on! (I had been using the Wi-Fi at the mall, then later I went to a friend's house and connected to my friend's Wi-Fi, which did not work.) So, I turned on my data, only for it to turn off after I guess about 30 seconds. I turned it back on, went on WhatsApp, in the middle of replying to a text from my friend it goes off yet again! What the... So, I went into settings and turned data on, and Wi-Fi off. As I watched, the Wi-Fi switched itself back on, and, predictably, even though there were no wireless networks to connect to, my data turned off as well.
This is really inconvenient. What could be causing the problem? I don't think I've downloaded any apps recently, but they do sometimes update. It was working fine on Thursday, but I've had my data off since then. I also booted into Safe Mode, and the problem doesn't seem to persist.
My XPERIA X10i turns off automatically during phone calls and it remains off for long, even after removing battery and replacing it doesn't switch on.
