Today I tried turning the volume for incoming calls up and nothing. I went into settings to turn it up from there. It said volume was on minimum and wouldn't turn up from there either. It's not like the button isn't working as on the screen you could tell that altering the volume wasn't an option as the symbol wasn't lit up (to the left of the volume bar)

I was having probs with phone totally freezing on a call; wouldn't turn off or anything. So it ran out've battery and i did the upgrade software thing from my computer. However, i didn't back up files as phone was new so didn't have anything on it and didn't think was necessary but now non of the phone works.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI used my phone in my break at work at about 4 o clock and then switched it off as phones have to be off in certain rooms where I work, when I came to switch it on at 7ish it wouldn't turn on at all. When I finally got home I plugged it in and it turned on and I checked the battery left and it had gone fully down to 0% battery life besides the fact when i was using it in my break it was on 40% minimum and it had been off after that. Does any one know whats wrong with it?

View 5 Replies View Relatedi decided to backup my phone as i had not in a while.It was perfectly fine when backing up and when i downloaded my pictures.A notification came up that my software was not up to date so i pressed check for updates.My computer found one update and i proceeded to update it.After the update my phone appeared to be completely wiped.I wasn't worried because i had done a backup.I proceeded to restore my phone.at one point it became frozen at a certain point.the cord became unplugged accidental and i gave up for the night.i plugged it into the wall to charge it and went to sleep. when i woke up the screen was completely white and it said "app reset". i restarted my phone but it wouldn't turn on.once it did it took about 20 minutes just to fill up the restart bar. after that it took about 5 minutes before it proceeded to security software verification but wouldn't load.the small black black arrow will not leave the screen of my phone.the software security wont update and i am getting very frustrated.at the moment the software security is still going and is only at 8 percent after this it doesn't proceed any farther but simply turns white and says app reset. i have now been through this process twice and just have my battery, sim and micro SD chip out and my phone is sitting next to me.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI got a blackberry storm from my friend about 2 weeks ago. When I got it, it worked perfectly, I personalized eveyrthing and I loved the phone. However, this week I was at work and I'm pretty sure the phone died. The red light stayed on, and when I was charging it in my car, it wouldn't hold a charge. It didn't turn on for 2 days, other than the white screen with the battery. I did a few battery pulls and left it plugged in. Now, it turns on when it wants to but the touchscreen realizes that my finger is there, but it doesn't click. What should I do? I took it to verizon and since I don't have insurance on it, they won't give me a new one.

I've got a problem for my phone, it doesnt want to charge or anyhing.. Even if i leave it for few hours, if it has charged battery to 100%, it starts all over so i have to stop it loading. And ive readen some topics about people in same situation. I've readen, that i can update the software. And i could update it with no battery? My battery has 0% of power, and it doesnt work. I've done everything what PC Companion/Software Update Service needs to update. but when i need to attach the power cable to the phone while pressing "back" button. And it doesnt work.

Ringing volume as high. when ever i receive a call, for first 5 - 7 seconds, my rining volume is very low.So many times i missed few calls to pick. after 10 seocnds, the volume become normal.

Ok first off my name is ughwtf because everytime I tried to type in a username it wouldn't do anything so I got annoyed and typed ughwtf and of course it worked. Second off this sight is not very helpful as when I was signing up it didn't even have my phone listed as a choice. My problem is that I do not have backup and restore on my Sony X10 phone and I am trying to update it to android 2.1. I follow the program and it takes me to the site to download backup and restore (which also doesn't have x10 as a model to choose from) and after I download the file on my phone it says blocked for security purposes because it's not from the market. In the instructions (which are for a mini because it doesn't include just a regular x10) it shows the option to allow non market downloads, however on a x10 I cannot find that option under settings or anywhere.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI tried to take several videos last night of a band but each time I went to save clips of 4 mins in length to my internal storage, the phone would display flashing bars as though saving but wouldn't save (just showed the flashing bars as though trying to save) and instead lock up. I had to restart each time and consequently lost my videos. I tried various recording modes and had the same issues. I was able to take and save pictures with no issues.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was at a party and used my phone for a few minutes 4 hours ago and there was no problem. Battery was 78%. After a while I realized my phone was not turning on. After coming back home I connected it to the wall charger and the light is blinking red. When I hold the start button there is a red light constantly but it won't turn on. Holding volume up and start button also doesn't work and there is no vibration. I tried the yellow reset button near the SIM tray and that didn't work either. My phone had a 16 GB built in memory which was pretty used up (It kept telling me transfer to SD card since memory was above 75%). I was going to buy a microSD card for it but now this happened. Is there something I can do to fix my phone?

Since an update a few days ago my phone is now randomly ringing (well playing the ring tone but there is no incoming call)
I've gone through every app I can think of looking for notifications/alarms, but nothing is appearing on the notification screen (the thing that swipes down from the top, I'm new to android)
After i update to lollipop 5 some apps doesn't work correctly like facebook messenger when some one call me the phone ring once then go silent even all settings are ok...

In preparation for a long trek I'm looking for a AA-powered emergency charger for my Nokia 5800 XpressMusic.
Nokia offers the DC-8, but the single AA limits the ability to recharge the phone fully. I carry 2,500 mAh NiMH batteries. At a voltage of approx 1.35 volts, that's 1.35 x 2.5 = 3.3 Wh. Not enough to recharge the 4.9 Wh batteries of the 5800.What's the current output of the DC-8?Is this current sufficient to recharge the 5800 when the batteries of the phone is completely flat?
I finally own a Galaxy S6 and now I'm enjoying using the Window Pop-Up Feature on the phone, because I can run my emulator and chat on Whatsapp at the same time... But... The Windowed version of those Apps are too large. Is there a way to overwrite the minimum limit of the pop-up window?

When I get an incoming call I get no ring but just a speaker icon in the top right corner with a bar through it. I have had the phone for 2 years and not had this before. Cant see any problem with settings.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy wife has a Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray, bought it roughly a month ago. After we updated her phone to ICS through PCC it occationally starts ringing for no reason. It has happened two times in the ~2 weeks she had ICS.The screen does not show anything special during the ringing sound, when the screen is unlocked we can just see the homescreen, no notifaction, nothing.The ringing is the "Sony Ericsson" ringtone and for what it is worth my wife is not using that ringtone for anything, not for incoming calls, notifications or alarms.The only way to stop the ringing seems to be to drag down the "top bar" which shows the clock, battery, signal strength, notifications and so on.
The presented solution seems to be chosen because they believed that it was only one isolated user having the problem. I however do believe that it is a software bug in the Xperia Ray ICS version.
Early today it started acting strange.. it rang by itself without anyone calling and with no mp3 playing. I tried turning it off and then after 5 mins, it happened again.. funny phone. Strangest thing is.. the music playing is not even my default ringtone..
