Feb 13, 2015I find it very troubling that the phone ringer is automatically turned on when the headphones are put in. I have even set a "Smart Connect" function to try to work around this. Nothing better than having your ringer sound out over a sound system in a restaurant where you work...
My feedback from support chat basically said that the phone is made to do that and that since the phone is functioning correctly there is nothing they will do.
I am pretty sure I am a capable person, and should be allowed to control my phones notification functions.

Then it started to glitch, by stopping my music playback if I turned the phone 90 degrees one way or another as well as playing back through the phone speakers when the headphone is plugged into the jack.
I've tried trouble shooting mentioned on other parts of this forum. I didn't have the google maps "shake to send feedback" feature on, and this behavior is happening on multiple music apps (Podcast Addict, Google Music, Sony Music, Spotify, etc). So this seems to be a problem native to the phone, not a third party application.

Google Nexus 5 :: Why Phone Randomly Shutdown
Aug 10, 2015So for the past week I've had the strange problem of N5 randomly shutting down, but ONLY when my screen is on. if I'm listening to music, I can listen until my battery runs out, but if I'm looking up stuff or playing a game, it'll shut down after a few minutes at varying lengths of time(It's a sudden shutdown so my screen just goes black when I'm in the middle of something).
After it has shut itself down and I try to turn it on then it'll turn off after the boot animation and before the lock screen shows. If I want it back on then I can get it start up again if I have it connected to a charger until the lockscreen shows and it'll act like normal(besides the whole random shutdowns)after I unplug it. I also don't have this problem when it's plugged in.
I've tried changing roms, kernels, and flashing the stock firmware with no success. I'm currently on XTraSmooth(Lollipop) with ElementalX 4.04 kernel.

Went to Sony service center in Penang Prangin Mall , Malaysia .. but they only reintall the software ... but the problem still occur . Went to Sony service center there again and they dun`t even bother to check the hardware .. they only do hard reset .... and the problem still occur .
Now this is the third time I was sending the device to the service center and requested that they check the hardware but the service center just ** Waiting for the outcome ...
Xperia X10 Mini/pro :: Screen Shutdown?
Aug 13, 2011I have x10 mini and I find it either turned off or at the sim unlock screen each time I carry it inside my trouser's pocket. If it is turned off I have do hard reset ( middle button and on/off) to turn it on. Later out of luck I have discovered that if you press the screen wtih my tumb a bit harder than usual it goes off and needs hard reset. So my guess is that the pressure inside the pocket turns it off. Believe me I usually wear baggy trousers. The reason I bought this phone is I needed something small enough to fit in a pocket. Is this normal or should I take it to service?

What is happening? How can I prolong the battery life? I am also noticing that my key pad is delayed and will be up to 10 characters behind before they catch up. It there something that I can do without restoring the entire phone that will fix some of these problems?

Sep 22, 2011I've had something new start happening to my phone. In both instances, I was streaming music (Pandora), with the phone not plugged into the charger (usb to computer) like I normally do. When the phone battery was starting to get low, (about 40%), the phone shuts completely off. When this happens, the phone doesn't respond to the power button right away, it takes 2-3 minutes and/or a battery pull to get it to boot up again. Anyone else dealt with this or seen this?

Feb 2, 2010I've recently upgraded my Bold 9000 software device software from v4.6 to v5. Everything work excellent EXCEPT from the Clock-Alarm Sound !!. When my hand-held is Activated, it works according to my relative settings. The problem is when I've set a Clock-Alarm time and turned my handhold OFF. When the time comes, the handheld wakes-up (as it should normally do), displays the dialog form regarding the snooze or the alarm termination but there's NO SOUND AT ALL !!. I've searched the community for regarding problems and I've tried to apply to my handheld every potential suggestion like: 1). usage of a build-in simple sound 2). a sound file stored on my handheld's device memory and not onto an external card 3). battery correct physical enforcement 4) and of course, many-many baterry pool outs (for hard reset) !! Unfortunately nothing worked !! Because i use my handheld as my main (only) wake-up alarm in the morning, I tried to make the following test: 1). Selected the "No Sound" profile (I don't want an accidental call to wake me up after midnight..).....

It is flat battery now, I tried the soft reset with power button and volume, phone vibrates 3 times but still its like a cycle. The red light flash, after a while the phone starts by itself, it shows the sony and xperia logo, then battery low and go off. After a while it does the same and keeps repeating it no matter how many hours it have been charging.

Jul 3, 2010I recently got my Sony Xperia Z3 two weeks ago and there are several problems that I'm noticing.
1. It charges extremely slow. I have tried different outlets and chargers to see if it can work but it doesn't and it take more than 3 hours to charge to its full capacity. How do I fix this?
2. While the camera is great, the image quality is not the best considering that it has a high mp I would expect more because I have seen images online where the quality is beautiful but when I look at my phone it's not like that.
Furthermore the front cam always has a lot of background noise which makes the images really bad. How do I fix these 2 problems?
3. Whenever I call someone and want to put them on speaker or I want to hangup it takes forever for the screen to light up. I even press the power button to see if it works but it doesn't.

I have this problem since the beginning. the phone freezes and restarts time b time when i am using it or sometimes even when i press the unlock key to use it the screen shows up and freezes then restart. most of the time it restarts when its on charging and the battery is above 90% and it always restarts when i use it after the battery is fully recharged. Now yesterday it restarted around 15 times and its becoming pain you know. I have it on the kitkat software didn't update to lolipop. I am not using simcard and i also tried using without sd card.
