I used to copy anything to my ext sd of 64 gb. Now, after upgrading to lollipop, it happens that it just disappears and it's not recognized. So I have to use the android tool to erase and copy files again. This happens very often. What can I do?

I just got the droid turbo yesterday. I am trying to download my pics from my old phone with a Transcend RDP9 card reader but it is not being recognized. Nothing happens when I plug it in. The light on the reader comes on but nothing on the phone.

This happened while i was out , and my phone was in my pocket once and another time when i was in at work , lost all data both the times and i couldnot find any trace of what triggered the wipe off button on my phone.

Before updating the maximum time was 3hours from 1to 100%. The same cable and charger is present .. Nothing new used !!! What happened after this update ??
Before upgrade to lollipop, my stamina mode work normally with the function to stop WiFi n data when the screen is off. But after upgrading, my stamina mode doesn't work like it should be and the notification keeps breaching even when the screen is off

Under the "SD card & phone storage settings" it shows 1.8 GB under "Total Space" when the phone is not connected to a PC/USB. As soon as I connect the phone to my PC using USB the status of the SD Card shows "Unavailable" both under "Total Space" and "Available Space".
I have tried removing and re-inserting the SD Card.
Also the PC's File Browser shows the drive as a CD Drive (G:) but when you try and open it says "Please insert a disk into drive G"
After upgrading my phone to lolipop the auto rotation doesnt work even in the safe mode....

Once the internal memory starts to get full, it asks to transfer to the external SD drive.
As it transfers by MTP the timestamp of the photos and videos are scrambled and sometimes i cant even find the photos or videos.
My Xperia X10 mini isn't recognising my SD card all of a sudden. It's the original SD card that came with the phone and I've also bought and tried a brand new Sandisk SD card, but still no look. Message is ''Removed SD card' even when card is mounted. Can't format the card as it's not mounted, tried formatting via PC too but again PC won't recognise either new or original SD card. Can't run phone updates as need a memory card to do that too

Upon receiving my unlocked Play, I noticed that the SD card isn't mounted. I tried numerous times resetting the phone and trying to see what was wrong but I can't seem to fix it. My SD card works when I insert it into my PC, and it still has all the files. I even tried other SD cards and it still couldn't mount.

Also if i try to connect my phone to pc vis usb cable it says 'please insert memory card and reinsert usb' tried this maybe 10 times nothing. So my question is how the **** do i get the phone to recognise that there is a memory card in it? I don't need the SD card for contacts etc as they've all been synced just really want my photos/music back & be able to use my camera again.
View 9 Replies View RelatedOk, so I still have the songs I had b4 I've downloaded the 2.1 OS; when I look into the X10 Mini, the "AVAILABLE ROOM" seems to have gotten bigger; but I also have many times in which the phone says: "no SD card found" or"no available storage" and such, regardless all my songs are there(not sure where!), and the "SD and storage" still shows the amount of memory like - Total room: 3.67GB and Available room: 3.11GB; considering I only had about 1.70GB left pryor to the 2.1 OS update!!!

View 8 Replies View RelatedI've just received a Xperia Z5 E6653 (build number : 32.0.A.6.200). I tried to use a MicroSD card that I had in my previous phone, but it seems not to be recognized, whereas it is in an Xperia Z3 compact.
Going to Settings > Storage, both SD card options are greyed.
Already tried :
- Rebooting the phone
- 4 different cards, formatted as exFat or Fat32
- Restoring default settings
The button to move app is not greyed out. I can click them and they change from "move to SD" to "move to phone". In fact, the screen shows me that only 20mb is left on the device and 2GB are on the SD card for the app. But when I go to my SD card the folder where the OB files are supposed to be is empty, and my available internal storage did not change. Samething happened to all the apps I tried to move. The phone tells me the apps have been moved but they did not.

I have a homepage set, but everytime I fire up Chrome I get this maddening error. I've gone in and deleted/cleared the Cache and Defaults so that when it fires up and goes through new browser setup intro. I follow through all the stuff and it does it again.

I would like to install the Deezer application to synchronize my music on my external SD card, but I can't move the application to SD card (no option available in Settings).
I can choose from the application itself where to download the music, but the external SD card isn't available. So I would like to install Deezer on my SD card, but I don't know how.

I have continually tried and eventual the format have been successful but I then have to reload my music but again when i plug it into my Hi Fi it corrupts.

So when I got my G4 a few months ago, I got with at a kingston 128GB micro SD card. For the first few months it worked perfectly, I managed to store videos on it, and everything worked fine. Then, during one bus journey, i was watching some videos I had downloaded earlier, when suddenly told me something like: "cannot find video, insert external storage with video on it" (cant remember exactly). I tried taking out and re-inserting my SD card multiple times, even reseting my phone, but that didn't work.
Eventually my phone told me that my SD card was not formatted correctly, and they could format it, but i'd lose all my data. I eventually did this, and my phone seemed to accept the SD card (not that I really checked). Now though, I tried to re-downloaded the videos I was watching off of the google play store, and it comes up with "External storage must be installed to..." on my notifications, and when I click it, it just goes to the page of the TV show I was downloading.
It even says this at the same time as another notification says "SD card inserted"! It was strange as I was watching other downloaded TV shows before it stopped working, but when it stopped, I couldn't go back and watch the one's I had watched. Most recently I connected my phone to a laptop with the SD card in it, but the computer can't detect the SD card either!
When I drag a video from explorer to the external memory video folder on the phone, it is copied to the internal memory! Is there a way to move items from explorer directly to external memory (SD card)?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have just 'upgraded' from my trusty DroidX to a Droid Razr Maxx HD (what a mouthful).The new device has a nice screen but (apart from the backside) the overall finish / design is nowhere near as elegant as the DroidX. Sigh.My question is this: on my old trusty DroidX the external SD card that came with the device was already pre-configured as the default location for all app data (I'm not talking about the app executables), the camera storage (/DCIM etc), music and my own files (text, excel, pdf etc). On the new Razr Maxx HD there is an internal 'SD Card' (how can an SD Card be 'internal'?!?) and this is the default location for all data files.
After some snooping around I found that the internal 'card' is at /mnt/sdcard and the external card is at /mnt/external1. How does Verizon/Motorola expect a consumer find out this or work with this information?Of course, I can go into camera settings to re-point the camera to store photos on the (real) external SD card. But the screen capture utility (power and volume down) still writes to the internal area - as does the Download capability (ie from email) - and as do all other apps for their 'data' files (remember, I'm not talking about the apps executable files here).Is there a simple way (for us non-rooted phones) to set the true external SD Card as the default destination for all data files? The current set-up is sooo frustrating. I can't just whip the SD card out of the phone and know all my data is in this one place.

I purchased the blackberry off ebay (it was unlocked and previously used with AT&T) and it has worked for the past several months just fine.A few days ago I recieved the JVM error 102, after looking for solutions and none of them working, I just reinstalled the OS through the desktop manager (version 4.7).Now the phone is able to start up and seemingly function properly, however: the phone has reverted to its original AT&T theme and it does not recognize my SIM card. The entire GUI is different than it was previously, and it is incapable of making any calls nor connecting to the T-Mobile network. I have not loosened any screws or otherwise made any modifications, and I've no clue what to do.
