May 1, 2010I upgraded from my Bold 9000 to the Bold 9700 and now Japanese Input is not working anymore. I installed several eastAsia packages from different providers and its possible to read Japanese but when I am trying to choose Japanese as input language on my 9700 its switching back to the language before. korean and thai are working without any problem.
It seems to be that this problem only occures on Blackberry's with a QWERTZ keyboard. We tested it from several carrier (O2 Germany, O2 Szech and T-Mobile Germany [all have QWERTZ keyboard]).
Currently installed OS: v5.0.0.593 (Bundle 1022, Platform 5.1.0.147)

May 21, 2012I'm using Xperia mini pro SK17i and POBox touch for my input. When I use the hardware keyboard, sometimes it would work (I can switch between hiragana / alphabetical input), sometimes it would act just like a normal keyboard (can't switch mode, word suggestion does not appear).

Jan 25, 2012I've upgraded C7-00 from RP1.2 to Anna 25.07. It was done via WiFi from mobile itself. There is an issue with QWERTY keyboard. It is available in SMS, Calendar but not in Contacts. Here old-style keyboard is still used (which shows only possible letters from available phonebook entries). It doesn't change if I set another default language.

Feb 26, 2012I just got this phone off Amazon market place, and when I flip the phone to the left to use the qwerty keyboard, the letter 'E' does not work correctly, sometimes it does work but other's it just spams my phone with the letters next to it (W and R). The thing which confuses me is when I go to use a menu on the same place it works fine, just not on the qwerty keyboard, also when I turn the phone to the right to use the qwerty keyboard on that side it seems to work fine.
