Until now I have been recharging every night but now the battery charging indicator does not appear when plugged into either mains power adaptor or a USB port. It is 5% charged and falling.

I get an error message: "Installation error, Some parts of the the update of the software could'nt be installed or started."Then i tried to update using the Update Service. The Update Service tells me that i already have the latest software installed, but ICS is not installed.When i connect to my laptop again, PC Companion still says there is a software update (ICS). But the installation keeps failing.

A few hours later, it remained at 35% indication.Since this couldn't be correct, i restarted the phone. Now, my battery indication was 100%. False again.I turned the phone off. It wouldn't restart.I tried the 'flash device method' by holding back button and putting in computer USB. No help.I tried SEUS. After that, phone switched back on, with false battery indication back to 100%, which is impossible.I noticed that during all this 'fun stuff', my battery refuses to charge. The LED indicator remains green without flashing, the settings screen doesnt say 'charging'. I know that the phone won't charge below 95% battery.So, the phone thinks the battery is 100%, therefore won't charge, and I'm pretty screwed, especially since I fear that once my battery drops dead, the phone won't be able to charge ever since it will think its 100% full...
The battery was about 10%, and I was downloading a game. All of the sudden, it froze and after a few seconds it turned itself off. I triend to turn it on, but I couldn't, so I thought battery died, and I left it on the charger over night. In the morning, it still couldn't turn it on, and anything I triend didn't work.When I press and hold the ON/OFF button, it just vibrates shortly and nothing happens. If I repeat that, it won't even vibrate until I pull the battery off, than put it back, and try again. Won't charge on the charger, won't charge on USB cable, won't turn on. I don't know what to do, I already tried Hardwer Reset (with and without charger) - didn't work, tried connecting it to the USB and holding the BACK button - still nothing. Sometimes, when I try to turn it on, it won't vibrate, and the red light flashes (that means the battery is low, right?). Sometimes it doesn't react at all, no vibration, no red light, nothing.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have updated my SK17i to ICS from GB over the past weekend and now when I connect it to a PC without admin privilege, it prompts for admin login to install driver which wasn't required under GB. I can pass up on making a data connection to the PC (though it would be nice to have), but right now without installing the driver the phone won't even charge.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen charging my phone (xperia x10 mini), the screen remains off while charging, but when battery is 100% charged the screen turns on, and it remains on until you disconnect the phone from the charger, like telling you "I'm already charged".
Now I can't charge my phone overnight, or I have to put something covering it, so the light doesn't bother me while sleeping.
And of course, I think the screen light will eventually break if it's switched on so many hours every day. Have you noted this or it's an issue with only my phone?
Can I charge a spare battery separately from the phone while the main battery is inside the phone itself?

Tried again recently, and it definitely isn't charging. No lights; no syncing; no pairing; no nothing. I've tried different chargers and different outlets, and the darned thing is dead. And, I am very certain it is not due to any product abuse, etc. It has just died. I either have a defective product, or is there some trick or reset button or some trick I need to know to charge this device? Or, have I just thrown away $120 on a piece of junk?

View 1 Replies View RelatedJust wanted to share my experience. I did the update on November 8. I didn't bother to do the backup. The only real important is the contacts and Google have them already. I used the Update Service tool and it worked like a charm. After restarting the phone I had to go through the setup wizard, which by the way is much improved. I now realized that I had lost all my downloaded applications. I downloaded them again from market. Most of them had all the old data, nice. Some games lost all history, no big deal really. My contacts, mail and calendar was downloaded from Google.
I realy like the fact that it is possible to send contacts by SMS. The images from facebook also works very well.
The one thing that I am still not used to is the unlooking. The habbit of pressing the menu button twice is had to kick. I think the new way with the slider is somewhat safer.Now I am waiting 2.2 with tethering. I hope this will be available for X10 mini some time in the future.
