For photos, improving Post Processing Algorithms like 2x1 chroma subsampling and noise reduction will make this device much better.

What happens is that when I take a picture, the camera makes the shutter sound, and then just goes to a blank dark screen. The phone is still on and can go back to the menus. After the manually turning On the phone again, it will work again including the camera icon or button. But, after a while, it will be like that again, especially when the camera is not used for a while. The phone have been updated with latest software using SE PC Companion. I even tried to use repair to update it again. Same problem.

Nov 19, 2010I have used Sony Ericsson phones for years and all my previous phones have had a feature on the camera whereby you could zoom in on a photograph you've taken, and then save the zoomed/close-up image as a seperate photograph.
If this feature exists on the Mini Pro, I certainly can't find it. I took a photo with the camera of something quite far away. The camera will let me zoom in on the bit of the image I want to see, and will allow me to view it, but I want to save the zoomed image. The far-away image is useless to me.

Apr 13, 2011When shooting with the camera of my xperia mini, sometimes the image hangs for 2 or 3 seconds, and then continues to shoot normally. Random hangings happen here and then. I suspect it has to do with the focusing function, or maybe some applications working in the background. This happens even when there are not much application working in the background.

Jun 26, 2011I got a txt earlier and when I went to reply to the msg the phone vibrated and entered the video camera mode, I exited the camera and before I had a chance to do anything the same thing happened again and in now happening non stop, turning the phone off removing the battery and powering up again and its still happening, as soon as I unlock it it goes straight to the camera.
