I have been trying to update my x10 from 1.6 to 2.1, however even when i follow the videos which have been posted i cannot for the life of me work out how to get it to update to 2.1. It just keeps saying that it has the most up to date software and thats it, and my phone hasn't updated!

Okay, I called Customer Support, and they told me that the Firmware isn't released for US AT&T yet, and they are currently working on it. Well I WANT IT NOW, i mean i have seen firmware 2.1 and it seems legit and I don't want to do a generic or flash(or whatever its called) because I don't wanna mess up my phone. and then not be able to download the actual firmware, or crash my phone and break it ya know? Someone make me feel better about all this because its an amazing phone!

I installed android 2.1 today but for some reason I can't restore my contacts.I followed the instructions on the sony ericsson webpage and used the SE backup software to make a backup of my contacts, mms, photos etc.When I restored everything after the update everything was restored except my contacts. How can I get my contacts back? Is there some way to extract them manually from the backup file or something? The backup software can't seem to restore them for me...

I get through all the stages, everything works fine, no errors reported, everything reset on the phone, all looked great. But, when I check the version its' still at 1.6. And everytime i connect it to the PC after the upgrade, it tells me there's an update available, just to go through the same thing again, and still leave me with 1.6.

Switched it off and on: I type in my SIM Card password and it wants another password. And I have absolutely no clue which one.I use the AVG Anti-Theft-Protection. But this doesnt seem to be the required password. I tried it. I also tried to remove the SIM card and put it back. The problem still remains.So I can only use the emergency mode. Heres a picture of what the start-screen looks like now: In the middle of the first picture it just says "Connected to PC" - But my PC cannot find the mobile since it's only on the emergency mode.Second picture just says "Please type in password".

The call does go on but to hang up you need to remove the battery. WiFi is runnig nOK and its OK on texts, only phone calls.
