can't dial out or accept calls. when dialing out it shows the number then as soon as you have dialled it shows call ended. Very frustating not been able to use the phone for acouple of days...

Now it comes: it doesn't matter if i tap on acept or deny call, the phone doesnt react! It continues to ring, and sometimes after tapping several times it does what it should do.Â
The problem is not the display, as it works fine everywhere else, and the phone app itself should be ok as i can receive/deny calls when it appears in the full screen while in idle mode. I think the problem is that little pop-up GUI. Tried to reset the phone to factory reset, but it does the same also if the phone was unsued before!Â
I was still on kitkat on my xperia z2. One day, when trying to make a call, I just couln't anymore. Basically, I can bring up my contact list, recent calls etc. But when I go to press a contact, which would usually start ringing them, it does nothing. If I manually enter a number with the keypad and press the dial button - the keypad disappears and it isn't dialing.

I tried restarting my phone, which will then allow me to make calls as usual, but as soon as I close the "phone" app and open it back up again, same problem - pressing contacts/ dial buttons etc will just do nothing. Every time I restart my phone I can pretty much call someone once and that's it.

I went in to my apps list and founf something very strange - two standard "Phone" apps. Why there are two now, they are also different sizes (one is 1.11mb and the other is 2.0mb). I obviously cannot disable or uninstall either of them. I don't know if this is the problem.

I have updated to lollipop, thinking maybe that may work, but everything's exactly the same.

I only am aware of the incoming call by the ringtone followed by the a missed call being added to the log. I have changed the setting to now let me answer the call by hitting the home key however, I cannot see who Is at the other end of the incoming call. If I make a outgoing call I no longer have the call screen appear.
View 5 Replies View RelatedLately my S5 will not accept incoming calls. If someone calls me (particularly from a cell phone number) and I answer, it 'Accepts' the call but immediately ends the call. Meaning, it goes from the slide to unlock and then go the call screen but the call ends right away.
If I call from my house phone, a VoIP landline, my S5 will allow that call with no issues. I've had multiple people try calling from different cell phone carriers and iOS or android phones, and each time it's the same result.
I have tried using the Home Key to answer the call, and still get the same thing. I have tried rebooting my phone, clearing cache partition, factory resets, WiFi calling on/off, roaming or not roaming, 4G or 3G, power saving on/off, updating my profile and prl, and all motion gestures are turned off. I've verified I'm not blocking any calls from within the call settings.

how to stop the awful beep sound during calls for the Galaxy S5? I know there is a thread on this for the Note S4 but the way to turn it off on that device (the enhanced lte trick) is not available/ a feature on the Galaxy S5. The tone is so horrible sounding and hurts my ears.
-Yes have check minute minder- it is off
-The sound occurs on speaker, while using headphones, or just holding the phone to my ear.
-There does not seem to be a pattern for time or frequency of the tone.
-The one thing i have noticed is that it always occurs when I talk to people who have iPhones, but there does not seem to be a consistency with droids.
Recently I updated my Nokia 5800 software V 40.0.005. After updating when any call comes, I can't accept the call through touch screen. First I need unlock using the side bar, then only touch screen works, Earlier I used accept or reject the calls through touch screen without unlocking.

1. Sometimes cannot accept calls - Error shown is request rejected
2. Music library get corrupted.
3. Camera doesnot flash on its own in low light.
4. Hangs quite a times.
5. Use OVI maps only to restart your phone.
6. Sensor controls are bad.
7. Installing a few applications gets it slow.
8. Clock doesnot display its time on the home screen.
I am seriously annoyed by this.First I did the update myself.I then visited a Nokia Care centre and the version was reinstalled. I still have the same problems. I have done it myself through the software updater and OVI suite. Thats means a total of 4 updates and still the errors are present.
