My old phone (samsung) dies yesterday, and i had all contacts saved on my SD card.Luckely its the same card as in the X10, so it is recognisable, and i can import all contacts one by one.
IS there an option i can copy all contacts AT ONCE from my SD card to the Xperia X10?
I just got an xperia x8 phone and i tried importing my contacts from my sim to my phone but it didn't work. It went through the process of copying them but then when it was completed my phone stil had no contacts.

Somehow all my contacts have been deleted and I think I forgot to make a backup of the contacts before i went into custom romming... (silly me). But my other sim card has most of my contacts so i inserted my other sim card and now when i go to contacts, and press the options menu, the 'import' option is not highlighted...

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I save contacts to the memory card I get a file named 00001.vcf. When I open this file in outlook it seems to contain only the first of all my contacts. Can I open this file in another way to get all my contacts? Is it possible to import all my contacts to Pc Companion? When I syncronize the phone with this program I only get the bookmarks exported from the phone to the program. No contact is exported. I have already lost my contacts once and will be sure that I have saved them correctly.
View 6 Replies View RelatedDid two different bacups, and I am positive that I did backup of contacts. Also did a bacup of all contacts on my online account at [URL] Did an upgrade of android 1.6 -> 2.1.
I ran restore. Everythinge else is restored, just not one single Name or Number. No contacts. Tried both bacups several times, I get a confirmation that the restore is done. Still nothing.
Hooked it up to my PC, and performed a sync with my page on sonyericsson.com. Nothing. It's always a small disaster to loose all numbers and names. I still have them all, I just can't get my phone to give a ****, it seems.
( Also tried installing the new Backup & Restore (1. Nov), [URL], but it gives me the message "not installed" every time i try. Nothing more. I think maybe it's because I might allready have that program on my phone)

However my contacts seem to have been wiped out and it doesn't give me the option to import contacts stored on my Google account. All in all the 5.1.1 has been the upgrade fro **bleep**.

I tried doing this using the SIM, but found that this only carreid over the first phone number and no extra numbers or email addresses. So then I exported from the LG to my desktop [using a USB connection] and then tried importing this file, but the 9800 didn't like it at all.
So then I swapped the SIM to the 9800 and used the Blackberry Desktop Manager to export an ascii file to my desktop computer. This gave me a file with """" a million quotation marks in it which made it way too hard to edit and add numbers etc to it. So I imported this to an XL file [using the header labels from the 9800] and edited my info. When I tried to import this to the Blackberry, it recognised the file OK, but wouldn't transfer the info across. So I then saved the XL file as a csv but this didn't work either.

I have about 1200 contacts in ACT! that I want to keep in my phone. I have tried to sync my phone with my computer a couple of times, the results from which have been very disappointing. I have tried syncing both through Outlook to the phone, and from a CSV file to the phone. That saves them as an IPD file.So how can I now get those loaded onto the SGS2?Will KIES recognise such file?
