View 5 Replies View RelatedI've got a X10 and recently upgraded to android 2.3.3. Since yesterday night I can't seem to receive SMS. I thought it was general, but later I received SMS from my other friends. So it seems I can't receive SMS form only one person. When that person sends me an SMS, I get a notification saying '1 new message' but when I select it, I can't see the message.

View 1 Replies View Relatedl recently changed my sim forva giffgaff one and everything works fine except when i call people i cant hear them and i cant hear the ringing sound at the start of the call. i can hear them if iput my phone onto speaker phone but this isnt very practical.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy phone is constantly putting o's into every word, and often just straight up barely types. It also is continuously calling numbers even after I've deleted them from my phone.
I called Bell and they had me wipe my phone and that didn't do anything, so I upgraded the software which also did nothing.
How can I fix this issue, when some calls me or I make a call the other side can't hear me well its like deep voice but if I make it loudspeaker can hear me normally no issue. The phone is new Z5 premium.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAbout a month ago whenever I made or received a phone call the person on the other end couldn't hear me. I could hear them fine my end! I tried swapping across to loud speaker but it still didn't work! I sent it off for repair and had the part of the phone with the microphone speaker replaced. Its come back and still does it! My brother said it was possibly the latest update as it was roughly around then that it went but I'm not sure!

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy phone randomly reboots while it's sitting there not being used. This is very odd and I'm starting to believe it's a firmware bug so I ask you to report this to the dev team. Basically the phone will reboot and that's it, but not a full reboot, because it won't ask for pin code, it will just close all apps, play the boot animation, and go back to the lock screen. The only way to tell it happened is either to be looking at the phone as it reboots or check under diagnostics -> system incidents. My phone is totally stock and I don't have anything too weird installed that would mess with the system. It has been factory reset and refurbished.
View 9 Replies View RelatedMy phone keeps randomly selecting stuff on the screen even when locked. I literally can't use it without it glitching....
View 8 Replies View RelatedI just updated my Z3 (d6653) to 5.1.1 using pc companion and now i'm getting random app crash. Tried everything but one, fixing using pcc.
View 10 Replies View RelatedSometimes I unlock my phone and the screen remains black, then the phone reboots but weirdly it doesn't ask for the SIM pin number. Other times I notice the phone reboots by itself and I notice it because obviously the screen lights up during the boot animation. This happens very rarely, so far it has happened about 3 to 5 times in a couple of months but it's still mega annoying when it happens.
And don't tell me to factory reset, I already did that less than a month ago and it happened anyway. Factory resetting is just a huge waste of time 99% of the time especially if you are not rooted.
My phone was left idle switched on and when I came to check it the screen wouldn't turn on... So I held the power button and it switched on but I never switched it off In the first place... I have attached a screen shot of the battery use which shows when it was turned off.
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy phone has been behaving really oddly recently. It has started dialling random numbers during the night, sometimes my contacts, sometimes just four or five digits, and once to my service operator's helpline. It also did it when it was switched off so I had to start removing the battery at night. Just last week, it wouldn't let me send text messages. I tried the recommendations found on this forum but nothing worked although the sim does work in other phones.
I got in contact with Virgin Mobile and they arranged for me to send them the phone for it to be looked at. Unfortunately, the connection between the USB socket and the phone had been damaged somehow (not sure how as I'm very careful with my phone) so the warranty has been invalidated They say they can't do anything although I have no problem connecting the phone to my computer.
My Z3 does constant hang ups at random times. Sometimes when I call someone it will hang up before it even rings even if I hit call back IMMEDIATLY after it hangs up it hangs right back up.
Sometimes I can talk for 5 mins sometimes 3hrs but it will randomly hang up. A phone restart fixed it sometimes I have changed the signal prefrences and no change. I have factory resetted the phone and no change. I am about to do a Software repair with the PC Companion. If this does not work I don't know what to do.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI've noticed a intermittent random black line flickering issue with my Z5's camera... it has only happened twice so far and only stays on the screen for about 10 seconds when the camera is first loaded up (not every time though). Basically flicking black lines appear on the screen and also appear in video playback / photos, but as I say this has only happened twice so far and only lasts for about the first 10 seconds the camera is opened.
For an example, i just took this photo and you can see the black lines appearing on the screen. The problem did stop within about 10 seconds and I could take photos without the flicker, but it was just a strange thing to appear.I do have a SD card in the phone, but photos are being saved to the phones internal storage.I tried taking the photo with superio auto and also swapping to manual.. and the flicker initially persisted across both modes.
I recently bought a new Sony Xperia Z3. The problems I am experiencing are that all sony default apps crashing and some other apps aswell. Apps that have crashed are; the contacts app, the messenger app (not facebook), the homescreen app, the album app, the walkman and the movies app.
When they crash I get a message saying Unfortunately "app name", has stopped. The only way to make the app working again is to reset the phone. This happens quite often which is surprising since the phone is new and its a flagship device.
The second problem I am experiencing is the phone randomly resetting itself, this happens about once per day. I believe the reason for the random resets are the crashing apps. I think that because when I was using my phone all apps suddently crashen, then the phone just reset itself twice before it was usable again.
The warning symbol keeps randomly appearing on my screen, also this morning there is now what looks like a toothed circle with arrows pointing in either directions alonside it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently noticed a strange behaviour during standby on my Xperia neo (FW 4.0.2.A.0.42). Since I use a brand new SIM of German network carrier E-Plus my Neo seems to randomly lose network signal completely. This sometimes even happens without any change of location. However, this occurs only in standby. As soon as I turn on the screen the network signal will be re-established immediately (-> screenshot below). As I can receive calls and text messages during these 'no signal' periods I would assume a software bug. However, I didn't notice this behaviour with a SIM of Vodafone which I had in use a couple of weeks ago.

I got my Xperia mini pro (SK17i, Android 2.3.4, firmware 4.0.2.A.0.58 after update) a couple of days ago. Unfortunately, trying to activate my Google account during the setup procedure crashed/rebooted the phone twice in a row before I managed to complete the setup. Afterwards I have immediately updated to firmware 4.0.2.A.0.58 but still have experienced the occasional crash about 2-3 times a day.
Usually it happens when doing stuff with the phone. I have read that there is a new firmware update coming our way (4.0.2.A.0.6x) which is supposed to fix some memory management issues. Indeed, the last couple of times I have experienced crashes, the "crash log" in /proc/last_kmsg has shown Unable to handle kernel paging request (+ a nice trace) just before the kernel panicked and rebooted the phone.
Every time when I restart my xperia z2 some random old messages are resend. These messages don't show in the messaging app either so I have no way of knowing which messages were send and to who. I've checked with my provider but they couldn't fix it. It's really annoying because I constantly have to explain that I did not send any message.
