Xperia Pro/Neo/V/L :: Its Making A "sizzling" Noise?
Aug 12, 2012
This occured when I started to take pics. I have taken pics before but this morning i took a pic and tried to take another it started making a sizzling noise like when you are frying something on the stove. While it is doing that the camera starts to lose focus. There was no fumes and it only occured while using the camera on the back of the phone. My android build number is 4.1.b.0.587.
I have had my xperia x10 for just under a week and whenever I make a call the receiver complains of a spitting noise in the background it is intermittent but nevertheless everyone I call complains about it. I do not hear it myself and have upgraded the software. Do I just have a faulty phone?
Last week I suddenly noticed that my phone's power button wasn't making a clicking noise anymore when pressed. Now it's more like pressing a rubber button or something. Phone itself is about 6 months old. I also checked my wife's Z3C and, while being about two months older, it's power button is still clicking like mine was before.
Recently the Ring tones and alerts sounds have stopped making any noise. I checked to make sure they were set correctly and they are. I also took the battery out and back in to reset it.
For some reason my phone is now making an incredibly loud screeching noise when I am making a call. Both I and whoever is on the other end hear it. It could be a problem with the mic or earpiece. It is rooted with a custom rom on it.
My 3 week iPhone 4S today started making a hissing type noise coming from the charging port. I am unable to play music through the external speaker now too. how I can fix it? Id like to avoid going to the apple store, but if I must, I will.
I've got a question/concern. About a week after getting my X2, I've noticed that the camera seems to make a lot of noise. It clicks when I open the camera app, and clicks louder when I hit the "Switch To Video/Cam" button as well. I've had it say sometimes "oops, the camera can't be used right now!" before too! Only once has that happened. But the clicking is persistant.
My Iphone 6 is making a clicking noise on the screen when you press on it near the volume buttons and i do t know what to do. I never dropped the phone and i do have a case on it. It is not bent at all. Just one day someone called me and when i put the phone on my check i heard it click. First i thought it was the case so i took it off but u still heard the sound Should i take it to an Apple Store ?
I upgraded to .607 and everything works alright except that my alarm will not make noise when it goes off. It will vibrate, the pop up comes up, but it will not play reveille, even if I put it on the loud profile.
I know that you can set the phone to make a noise when you click the trackpad - that isn't my issue because I have this feature turned off. My issue is that when I scroll down on the trackpad I'm hearing a clicking noise, almost like the trackpad is too loose and is hitting the silver lining. I'm not trying to be picky, but it's really annoying when scrolling through emails or through the browser. I stopped by the Verizon store and the tech told me it's because I have big thumbs and they're hitting the keys below, which I showed him wasn't the case. He also said the trackpad being angled to the right appears to be on purpose because their demo is like that. I was just wondering if anyone else noticed the clicking noise when scrolling down?
i was using my phone then later i went to get something i heard a buzzing noise coming from my phone and when i clicked the home button the screen was black it wouldn't come on.
i tried switching it on by pressing the home button and power button together but it continued to make the noise and the screen is black. Also i did put it on charge to see if it would come on but it didn't.
While taking a photo in a silent environment, I just noticed that the camera module of my Lumia 1020 (running the Black update) is making a weird 'fan'-like noise - akin to when your laptop in becoming warm. You can only hear it, if the the camera module is placed close to your ear. Is this normal,
I recently purchased an iPhone 4S brand new and sealed and it's been about a month now and the on/off button and volume buttons seem to get stuck when being pressed. I have to apply more pressure than generally required to get them to function correctly. And when I do that, I hear this loud clicking noise as if the button was not making the right contact with the insides and happens to sit in place after the pressure is applied. It feels like I'm cracking the inside of the phone every time I press them so kind of worried about it.
Another thing I've noticed it when I press the Up volume button, the volume goes up and then back down sometimes in an instance, as if the button seems to be pressing the down volume button aswell from beneath it. The rest of the phone is fine. Is this a common issue and will I be able to get this fixed under my warranty as it is covered til next year?
Bluetooth connects but whe trying to make a call or answering a call, the bluetooth keeps making a noise and disconnects. Reset buetooth but still don't work. battery is fully charged.
I have the X6. The phone rings and I unlock the keyguard using the slider on the side of the phone and the phone stops ringing. Then in order to answer the phone I press the green button on the bottom left of the phone or I press answer call on the screen and then I can speak which I suppose sounds fair enough. But I just think that something is wrong because surely the phone should continue to make the 'ringing' noise until I actually answer the call rather than going mute just because I have unlocked the keyguard.. Am I doing something wrong or is this just how the phone works?
For the past few days, my iPhone has been making a strange "bloop" noise. It does it at random times, but the sound does not exist anywhere on the phone. I just want to know why it is making this sound and how to stop it?
I am having some problems with the Xperia Z2 bluetooth speaker pairing.I have successfully connected it to my bluetooth handsfree device in my car.Ive also tested it on one speaker. But when I try to connect it to Philips Fidelio E5 I only get static noise. Can it be the APTX? Is there a way to turn that off?The Philips Fidelio works perfect with many other devices. (tested 3 different devices successfully) Including Xperia Z tablet.Â
I bought my Z2 in September and after 3 weeks the right earbud of my noise cancelling headset provided with the phone stopped working 100% of the time. By moving the jack connection it would come and go. This did NOT happen with my third party earphones and when trying in the Three store I bought the device in, my suspect noise cancelling phones worked with the Z2 on display OK.
My phone was sent in first time in end of Sept/start of Oct and after I got it back the issue remained and the service log showed only a flashing of the software happened.
I then contacted Sony Xperia support again to complain and was told all I could do was return the phone AGAIN to check the QA process used.
This happened and I returned the phone again. I received the phone back today and the issue still persists! Again no hardware changes made.
When I plug in my noise cancelling earphones my tablet thinks a mic has been plugged in and earphones don't work.? I've been thru sound settings and can find nothing..
I'm looking forward to buy an Xperia Mini Pro. And I heard that there is an Electrostatic NOISE coming out from that phone. Is it true? If so what is the manufactured date rage which has the fault? can it be 100% solved with the software upgrade ?
I had Gingerbread 4.0.2.A.0.62 and no electrostatic noise in video capture (voice recorder programs had noise but not the video capture programs). Yesterday I upgraded to ICS and now it makes this cicada noise when recording video in QVGA and VGA modes but not in 720p and FWVGA and the video consumes alot of MB very fast.
I've been a happy xperia mini pro (android 4.0.4) owner for 8 months however today i started experiencing a repetitive static noise thump which appeared during all my calls. I wanted to find out more about this problem eventually any fixes, and if problems such as this would be covered by the warranty.
I've started noticing a weird clicking noise after using the camera. After I take a picture and press the 'Home' button to exit the application, it makes the noise, which sounds like there's something loose or something. Also, the slider part of the phone is loose at the bottom, so when I push the buttons I'm actually pushing the screen down onto the keyboard, which is annoying.
