Jan 2, 2010I'm having a couple of problems with my jailbroken phone. I'm using a 16GB 3GS, on the Rogers network. 500MB data plan. Blackr4in was used to JB.
First problem: Wifi no longer works, ever. Before, I could reboot and it would work, but now it never seems to work. I've seen "Reset Network Settings" as a solution, but I've tried this two times, both times I had to enter DFU mode to restore the phone as it would not boot. Is anyone else having this problem? I don't NEED wifi, but it seems odd that I can't get it working at all.
Second Problem: I can't get tethering to work. I've never had it working, so I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong. Tethering is enabled on the phone. I'm using Windows 7 on two different PCs with iTunes installed (along with all drivers). When I plug in the USB cable, I don't see any option to use the phone as a modem, and it's not done automatically. I don't have BT on either computer. What am I doing wrong.

Mar 18, 2012I have an iPhone 3GS, I've had it for a few months or so but its an old one from when they first released. The wifi never worked from the time I got it. I've reset it, reset the network settings, everything. I can turn wi-fi on and off but it just won't find anything unless I am REALLY close. So when I walk into the actual room where my router is I get a signal, but down the hall, nothing. That means I can't really get wi-fi anywhere else. It didn't really bother me at first because I had 3G anyways but now its annoying that I can't download apps without worrying about my data as I only have 2 gigs. Because it connects when I'm closer I'm guessing its a hardware issue?

Jul 5, 2012My wifi used to work just fine but hasn't been working very well this past month to now. Any wifi I connect to has no signal in some spots, but high signal in other spots. For example,I have no signal in my bathroom but have strong signal in the bedroom.This doesn't make sense because my bathroom is literally two feet away from the bedroom. And I know there is nothing wrong with my router because I have the same problem at my friends houses too. May 10, 2012I have wifi syncing issue. I used to connect with my two computers, one is my home PC (win7 64bit), the other is my office Macbook Pro (Lion). My iphone's itunes library is on my home PC, I have checked "Sync with this iPhone over Wi-Fi" on itunes options. In general, wifi syncing is working if iphone connected to my home PC only with USB.
At office, I used itunes on my macbook pro to listen iphone's music. So, I connected iphone to macbook pro with USB, then loaded my iPhone's music. (not push sync button). At home, I plugged my iphone into charger generally, then turning on itunes that couldn't find my iphone 3GS for wifi syncing. For resolving the issue, I need to sync with USB once, then it would work again, but it's so annoying.
