My father passed away a few months ago, and I am clearing his house etc..
I have his iphone 4s here but cannot reset it because I do not know his Apple ID.
Do I need to take to Apple store or is there a way around it?
Just bought a new I-phone and I'm trying to back up my old phone so I can transfer everything to my new phone. I must have created a password a while ago to unlock the I-phone back up, but now I can't remember it. Is there a way to reset it or obtain the password?

ATT sent me the confirmation that confirmed that my iphone4 may be unlocked. But I can't complete the unlock processes because my phone won't connect to iTunes. I don't really need to back up my phone but want to be able to use it when I travel in different country. Is there any other ways to complete the unlocking processes without go through iTunes?

just got my 9700 today. With my old 9000 I was able to make a password, lock my phone, and then upon unlocking it it would ask for my password.With my new one I just need to press the unlock button... what's the point of the password then? Can I make it ask for my password when I unlock it?? And how?

However, when I connect it to the computer via a USB cable the same password doesn't work. The password is all letters. I do not remember ever entering a password to synch my device before so I can't remember if that is supposed to be the same password. I did try once with caplocks on just to make sure that the password wasn't all caps, but that did not work either. I'm baffled. I got my new Blackberry 9700 but the only problem is, when I set my password and enable it, the phone doesn't prompt me to enter the password whenever I unlock the phone. It only asks if I go to settings>password lock or when I reboot the phone. I'm new here, and I apologize if this has been posted before.

This new password seems to only last that once in the app store before again it tells me its the wrong password. This has happend tens or times. This is for a friends iPhone 4S. She always forgets her itunes password so I went to reset it for her through her phone. I went through everything and it said that it was reset to the new one. So then I updated her apps and that worked just fine. Then I went to download Pandora for her and it told me that her password was incorrect. Clearly it wasn't. I tried a few more times and it still didn't work. So then I reset it again. I tried resetting her password about 10 times and it still always says that it's wrong. I don't know what is going on. I've also tried restarting her phone and still nothing.

Just changed ISPs (from Orange Wanadoo to BTInternet. Had the 'engineer' come out and do all the connecting stuff because I ALWAYS get it wrong. He said he had connected everything and all would be OK.

I recently backed up my damaged 4gsm to iTunes. I have since been issues with 4s version. When I try to restore my 4s from iTunes backup option, iTunes asks for a password. There is no option to help retrieve this password & I have tried effortlessly to use a variety of potential passwords but still cannot get past this lock section. I can see that it was backed up but I just can't get into the back up due to this silly password request.

My mother has a 3GS. She keeps getting a message that says she cannot connect to iTunes. She is putting in the correct PW. She tried calling Apple, but they wanted to charge her for a phone call.
