We have installed PC Companion, but it asks for a "PC Companion update needed" and when we hit the "update now" button we get an error and then we hit ok and it shuts down PC Companion. Did an uninstall, and installed again, still the same. Is this software necessary to have? Finding this phone is not so user friendly.

I have been trying to do this with PC Companion but every time I try it, the software gets to the preparation section and tells me installation error unable to install or start phone software update components. I then have no option but to close the box.I then get another box come up saying the update of software failed. Please try again or consult Sony Ericsson support for assistance at url...I have tried several times to do it through PC Companion but it just will not work.My phone is telling me that the firmware version is 2.1 update 1, I did upgrade it to Android 2.1 when I first got the phone, but I had to do a factory reset of the phone due to an error, which set it back to Android 1.6.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am not able to Connect my Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 min pro through PC Companion either by USB or by Bluetooth. I tried all the permutations and combinations suggested by Sony Ericsson support pages, yet no resort.
However, stragenly I was able to upgrade from Android 1.6 to Android 2.1 through PC Companion (though PC Companion refuses to detect). Now my handset say there are updates available and to be updated through PC Companion. However, this time PC Companion is not bending in any direction to support me.
I have a new Vivaz pro mobile and i am still exploring it.Just connected it to PC companion on my laptop for the first time , everything was fine and i synchronized it with the contacts of Outlook .and perform a quick contact backup and that's all .i switched it off / on after that. to discover it is just bringing this white screen with " Sony Ericsson" at the begining for more than 10 minutes ! without completing the starting phase.

When I try to go to the software updates on the W760a hompepage, it loads a blank page. View 1 Replies View Relateda couple of days ago I tried to do an update on my W995a via the SEUS program (latest version used, downloaded the day I did the update), It got to about 90% then stopped and stayed at 90% for about 2 - 4 minutes then it came up with Update Failed, I've retried the process a few times and all have failed, I've used the repair feature in the PC Suite program to try to fix the phone but it fails about about 90% as well, I had no issues or software glitches with the phone before attempting the Update. The phone now will not load the OS but instead just sits there with the keypad lights on. Is there a solution to this problem? As this is my main phone and the SEUS program has broken it.

The top right hand corner bar never moves to "confirm" it just stays at "connect". Can anyone kindly help me? The colorful do not move when the music player is playing a track. Settings tab should be more simply and independent from other applications. More themes. A design just like Aino. Dump the people owning Satio's and work with Xperia X10 rather? This isn't a joke I guess that this phone has the least support of the phones I ever had as the others hadn't much bugs and a lack of many typical functions in them. The last update was on march Vivaz got an update during april and it costs less and how come that phone has even a better home screen for that money. Please tell me if you are going to make an update for this phone or I will seriously throw it into the danube and I will buy Iphone 4 as Sony Ericsson is really bringing my positive feedback on the company down. Ive just recently got my new vivaz and have run the latest update. Can anyone tell me what the changes are in this new update? Id also like to know whether it is possible that a flash can be programmed into the vivaz instead of the light being constantly on. This is the only annoying aspect of the camera.
