My sons Sony Ericsson W715i fell to ther floor and the front screen was cracked and the display became dark. Is it possible to change the glass (front screen) and display on W715i? How? Or does someone know how much it costs to repair it?
View 1 RepliesI was just wondering if anybody knew if there was a way for me to change my phones language to Welsh. I've looked in the phones 'Language' menu and Welsh wasn't there but I was wondering if there was any other way to get the language into the phone (eg. by connecting to my computer and using an update service by Sony). I realize that this is unlikely and may not even exist but I really want Welsh on my phone. To clarify. I want to change the 'Phone language' and not the 'Writing language'. My phone is a W715.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI have Sony Ericsson W715 Walkman phone and I try to find a way to play and view my mp3 files in media player as their folder structure is when I copied them to phone memory card - but have had no luck. The problem is that most music I listen is in a mixed form - lots of folders (witch name i like to see and choose in the player) and each consist about 20 various songs. In player under "Music" menu are items like "Artists", "Albums", "Tracks"... but no Folders. I cannot find any folder that way as "Albums" menu shows album name in ID3 tag but my folder structure is different (in one folder songs ID3 has different album name). So I have like 500 artists, 200 albums, 1500 tracks and no way to find what i want - for example to play one folder contents continuously. Only way I can think of right now seems to change all my mp3 ID3-tag album names same as my folder structure names but that choice is really bad because I don't want to lose original ID3 info and also modifying is really tedious when have to change few hundred folders of songs. So am I missing something obvious or what should I do to enable that simple behavior described above? One more thought - maybe in phone is some config file available where album names are stored and change all album names to folder names in there and not running "Update media" after that?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was thinking to get one next week especially for it's price and design. I just wanted to know how is the 16M color TFT display of the device? How sharp and vibrant is it? I previously owned a W995 and I was shocked by the poor display of it, the colors looked so faded, though it had 256K screen. The best 16M colored display (non touch) I owned was the N95. Can I expect same from Hazel? or better or worse? and What about the earpiece volume? Is it that same medium range like other SE phones or been increased?Hazel owners please put your inputs.

Which happened to other day so I ordered a new LCD display off Ebay. It came today and I re-fitted it but it is still like this which tells me this is not a hardware problem.
The display for my C902 phone has stopped working or to be more specific, the display works sometimes but is blank for most of the time. I have the latest software and have removed battery, memory card and SIM cards and none of this works. I have seen on the net that this has happened to other people too but I have not come across a solution.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Sony Ericsson K770i. A couple of months ago, something very strange happened. My memory card stops working and when I turn the phone off and back on again, it tells me "memory needs to be formated" or something like this. So it knows that there is a memory card in it, but it cant read it. And now, the display goes crazy ( it looks like a TV channel with bad signal). Sometimes, it fixes itself just with time, and sometimes, it doesn't even when I remove the battery and put it back in. I have tried flashing the phone and updating it, but nothing works.

The display goes blank at times. If you wait for an hour or so, it suddenly comes back up and works without any issue for several hours. Then, you wait for a little bit and the screen goes blank again. What do I need to do to resolve this issue?

The reason I ask is that I have a wallpaper/screensaver with a mostly white background and as the clock is also white and only has a thin black outline it is almost impossible to read.My wife also has a white background on her W595 but the clock is black which makes it easy to read.
it really strange but my k800i {R8BF003, CID 53} has gone crazy ! in the standby mode the DISPLAY will start blinking, but at very very less brightness. its visible when the lights in the room are off. this bugs be cuz its draining the battery too quick PS : Tried removing all patches re-flashing main , fs but still no luck. the phone was never dropped or had any sudden impact too.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy Sony Ericsson Cybershot C510a was working fine for last 6/7 months.I upgraded to latest firmware 3 months back.& it was working fine. Recently I cant use the phone because: It's keypad. It acts interestingly:
Case 01: After making the phone ON, 40/50 seconds it remains OK, but when I push the down arrow in menu list or in phonebook, It keeps going down & down.
Case 02: when I click on call end button to close anything, it closes that but opens the phonbook.
Case 03: After few minutes, it's keypad freezes/hangs & display shows nothing. I cant bring back the display(Pls note: at that time, when I open the camera slider, display cames again). When a call comes, display comes but I cant receive the call.
I tried master rest, Memory card format, Update service successfully, but problem starts after few minutes.
sometimes while working suddenly the icons are missing and on checking any pic it says too large to display if i restart the phone this thing is solved but i cant do this everytime right so plz help me
