My C901 keeps rebooting. It just gets to the main screen and then shuts down. So I cant get to the master reset menu quick enough. I've tried using re-flashing it it says I have the latest software. How do I 'force' a re-flash? I think my problems started when I loaded up Google Maps.

I've just purchased Sony Ericsson C901. This is my fourth SE phone and modding is always my thing. From removing the operator logo to changing the fonts. Just the usual interface revisions. I've never tried using patches. But I've been dying to know this: Is the camdriver for C901 Nordic Region different from that of APAC ANZ? Say in firmware version R1GA028.
Like, if I use the camdriver from Nordic version and put it in APAC ANZ firmware, it doesn't produce the same result as the original one. Or, are all C901 camdrivers the same no matter what part of the world the phone is being sold? I've updated mine from R1GA028 APAC ANZ to R1GA031 Nordic. And somehow I got the Greenheart version. And IMO, the pictures looked bad after the update.
I need to use internet on my c901 via computer. ANyone have idea how can i connect to internet via my computer's internet connection. I use Sony Ericsson PC Suite 6.0 for this purpose. PC Suite shows me that internet is connected on my cell but it's not actually connected.

This happened after I placed in a flash menu file. Placing the flash menu file was a success but when I used the camera it didn't work now. I just bought this. But one thing that really annoys (and surprises me) is, that my dictionary doesn't seem to keep more than ~50 custom spelled words in the sms dictionary. View 10 Replies View RelatedI have followed these steps: Generated CDA. Nordic language! Then followed these steps! Upload "customize_upgrade.xml" to your phone and make the CDA change. So you have generated the file and you want to get on with it? Well I'll make this as short as possible.
1. Open A2uploader.
2. Click "FileSystem Tool". Re-insert the battery of your phone then connect your USB holding '2+5' keys. Release keys '2+5' when A2uploader detects your phone.
3. Browse to "/tpa/preset/custom/". Drag and drop the "customize_upgrade.xml" file to the right pane of A2uploader.
4. Click "Shutdown FS Manager".
5. Disconnect USB cable and turn on phone. You will notice a "Please Wait" prompt. This is when the CDA is changing. When the prompt is gone, turn off your phone.
But SEUS cannot find any new firmware still? What revision should the the Customize upgrade be?

But the problem is that the keypad backlight is VERY dim (almost off) all the time with it. I tried to modify it a bit and used the value 0008. i want to ask C901 users to give their opinions about the phone. I have heard it has camera lens issue i.e camera lens or camera lens cover is very loose and moves a lot. Second thing i heard is that its color peels off very quickly. Can someone please confirm these issues? Also mention the color you are using i.e Silver or Black.

I have an IPhone but its camera doesn't meet my expectations, especially the nonexisting flash. So I've decided to have a phone with a real flash to take pictures. I find these two phones as the best options for me. I can understand that c901 would be better in this area because of being latest released camera phone by SE. C901 costs twice as much. Does the difference in price reflect the image quality? I mean, does the camera on c901 produce way better pictures than the one in k850i?

I bought mainly the phone because of the "Threaded SMS" and the Xenon flash. So far i have tested the phone indoor, with the flash, and i'm not really that impressed with the pictures My old C902, is almost as good. So i guess a new camera driver will help? When I tried to set up the My Presence section within the phone I entered in my username, password and then it asked me for server information so I entered in what I thought was the right info, but now it keeps giving me a network error failure message.
Could somebody please mod the c901 display driver so that the light sensor is disabled and display brightness can truly be adjusted manually? I know there is a patching alternative,but a modded display driver would be much more convenient.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy screen recently started to play up.rather than the perfect bright picture I have a very grainy,barcode like mess on my phone.When i push the screen down with a little pressure it returns to normal but for a very limited time then it goes all wonky again. It feels like something has become loose inside the phone that keeps the screen working normally.It is getting worse and i dont want to lose my phone iv only had it 1 month! I have only dropped it once or twice no water has been near it and I cant think of anything else which may have caused this. Ill be gutted if it packs in on me. heard about a lot of problems with this phone my friends have the same problems as me.Has anybody else had this problem?can anyone recommend a solution to this?Please help.

It stops recording by itself after about 55 seconds, and it's getting really annoying. Does anyone know how to fix this? Oh, and I dropped the phone twice a few weeks back but i don't think that should impact anything. Everything else is working just fine.

When I turn it on, the logo appears on the screen, the keypad lights up, then it goes off again, then after 2 seconds, it reboots again, and so forth. Earlier when I first got it, it did reboot randomly maybe twice a week, but worked ok after that. But now, it just keeps re-booting without going into the phone menu.
The other funny thing is, at the moment, when I connect it via USB to my PC, I can browse the files/pictures/data in the phone via my PC. I tried doing an Software Update service via PC, and it says the phone has the latest software update. I want to break out of this constant re-booting cycle, and get into my phone again.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy phone died last night like it usually happens after a long day of usage and I thought nothing of it until I got home and tried charging it. After it came back on (apple logo came on the screen) it kept vibrating signaling that it was charging every two seconds, the screen then would go black and the apple logo would come back and the vibration indicating it was charging would come back on. There was one or two times when my lock screen would show up for a second or so but then it would go black and restart itself over and over and over and over again. I cant even get the lock screen to stay on the phone for longer than a second or two and it restarts itself again.
So I then thought of plugging it into my computer to see what would happen and maybe even restoring it from a back up but it would not let me because I have to turn off find my iPhone... which I can't because I cant get it to stay on for longer than a **** second. iTunes does recognize my phone though and so does iPhoto but that's all I can do! I'm trying to let the phone COMPLETELY die as in it won't even notify me that it needs to be charged to see if that makes a difference but I have no clue what's going on nor why this is happening to me or what the solution is! I've tried holding down the home/power buttons but while it has battery all it does is keep restarting and while its dead it just tells me to plug it into a charger
