Is it possible to change the font/background colours on detail screens like Contacts, Settings, etc, so font colour = White, and background colour = Black, on Samsung touchscreen phones like the Corby, Mythic, Forever, Impact, etc.? LG allows this on some phones by switching the built-in themes, but I have not seen this on the Samsung.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI am using Advanced Task Killer which I'm finding really useful. I have an ignore list set and it kills the apps that aren't being used regularly. However, I'm wondering why these apps keep restarting again. The sort of things that keep restarting are Gallery, Messaging, Yahoo! Messenger, Email, Skype, Maps, etc. I'm sure that I'm signed out on all of these apps and have the settings set such that they shouldn't keep restarting/synching. Are there any apps similar to 'msconfig' in Windows where you can tick which things you want to start up and what you don't?

I clicked the back button twice to reach my home screen.I can see that my Active applications shows that Messaging is still running?I had to "Exit" from Messaging through that.My thought was, when I hit the back button frmo the Messaging screen, it should close/exit that from the background (i.e.) it should not list in the Active Applications window?

The screen used to only come on when I pressed the power button. I have my display settings set so the screen is supposed to cut off after 15 seconds of inactivity.

When my phone is locked and I slide open the keyboard it has the cool original clock display my phone came with. It also shows the good font when I get to the "draw pattern to unlock" screen. The more square text seems correct for the Droid 2 while the boring round font on the opening screen seems to be a software goof/oversight.

LED light is flickering (not flashing) to in all possbile colours. It changes to standard flashing with appropriate coloured light to alert a message and then once the message is checked goes back to its multi-coloured flickering.What am I missing?

It's actually alternating as I use it between this screen, the normal screen, and a weird mix of both.
I pulled the battery - no change! The last upgrade I did was yesterday for App World so don't think this would have affected it. I did have the LCD screen replaced back in April after an accidental knock but I've not had any other issues with the screen. The handset itself is still working as normal, and I look after it pretty well so can't understand what has happened.
why nokia choose to supply limited colour of a particular phone to countries especially Nigeria! We always have the worst colours in Nigeria?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have noticed an issue with the Galaxy S5 that apparently only occurs with the Verizon variant. I work for a place called Wireless Advocates, we are the cell phone kiosk inside of Costco. I'm asking about this because I've had three customers come in to ask about this background data issue.
I'm not sure what triggers this issue but when I try opening up google play I get the "Background Data Disabled : Google Play Store Needs background data to be Enabled" error. It then gives you the ability to either quit or enable the data. If you press enable it takes you to the account screen in settings.
When I go to Data usage the option to "restrict background data" is greyed out. You can't even select it and it isn't checkmarked either. Just to clarify, accessing the internet and other things on the phone work perfectly fine. It's just the use of Google Play that is having issues. I called Samsung customer care and they aren't aware of this issue at all. Also note that force stopping google play, play services, removing the google accounts and adding them back and rebooting the phone haven't solved it. After the reboot the phone will appear fine and then a box that says "Restricting background data".
Just bought a car cradle and tried it out this morning. Is there any way to change the background from white to black when on the google music now playing screen. I like to see the album art and song etc but don't like the white background panels staring me in the face. I am on 4.4 and HTC sense 5.5.

I got a new iphone and when I plugged it into computer, it started doing a restore on itunes, but my last backup on my old phone was months ago. Therefore, new contacts and pictures were erased and everything was restored to how my phone was in January. Is there anyway to reverse a restore?
