Galaxy s2 on Orange UK - 2.3.5, BVKJ4.Why when i send or recieve a picture message does it turn it into a video and play the "still" image for 5 seconds? When i send a long text message it converts the message to a "slideshow" and some people moan that they cannot even view it when its sent them?

It's not really a big deal, but it's a little annoying.
However just today, a long text message was sent and I got 8 messages/8 notifications. And each message definitely had only 60 or 70 characters. Was this because it was so long that it was spit up into 8, but then why were they not split up into 160 characters?
Anyone know of a good app that can show both still images with a mixture of video clips within a single, continuous slide show?

I checked the settings and the obvious stuff such as the volume being on and a ringtone for text notification is set. I just went to unlock my phone and I noticed that the phone did not play the click or pop noise as I hit the keys to unlock the phone. Again, the volume was on....maybe this is a larger issue...

This was the first video I ever converted. The video came out great, but the audio is super slow-mo. I used "AAC (faaac)" audio encoding, and I chose 128 bitrate. For video, I used average bitrate: 1000. The only other choice of audio is "AC3 passthrough", and that is only at 32/kbps? Can you guys help me out here?

How do I get to see all the names?I can press and hold on the message to bring up a window that shows some of the names, but not all. I can press on the message to go into the message and that, again, only shows some of the names.even on landscape it wont show all.Under options there is nothing to show who you sent the message to.Under view message details, nothing again. I've recently got an HTC One M8, and when I try to write a long text message, thats long enough to not fit all on the one window (so it has to scroll), it scrolls so that the bottom line of text is just above the on-screen keyboard. But THEN when i type, the auto suggest words appear above the keyboard, and cover over what I'm typing so that I can't see it, which is really annoying and means every word I have to click back and forth between the editing screen and the other screen to get the view of what I just wrote back.
PS I just noticed it only happens in landscape orientation. I always write texts this way since the keys are bigger and my hands are large. In portrait orientation it works fine.
So now my question is, is is possible to write long texts in landscape format?
Is there a fix for this problem? If I read my messages first on my Blackberry and then later open Outlook - the message is coverted to plain text in Outlook.This is annoying when I usually reply to the messages from Outlook and want them to be in HTML format.
