Nokia :: Unable To Download Music Tracks
Dec 6, 2011I am now trying to convert all my DRM music tracks to DRM Free as from last week Music Unlimited has gone DRM Free. There are a few tracks which I am unable to download and something prevents the songs from downloading. When I hit the download button, all it get is ! sign.

May 19, 2011i have a serious issue with my unlimited ovi music account.i have purchased an n8, just 5 days back.Tried to download music using the ovi player, but everytime my machine would hang.Then I tried downloading using the ovi suite, I have tried to download almost 20 tracks (1 at a time) and have succeeded in downloading only 2. Every time it is able to download approximately 33-50% after which it gives an error message "Download Failed".

May 11, 2010My E63 didn't come with a connection to the computer so I am just using the SD card and plugging that into the computer instead. I'm wanting to use it to put music onto my phone. I move the music off the computer and into the music folder on the SD card but I can't get the music player to find the tracks once I put the SD card back into the phone.
The files are there, I can find them through file manager, but I want to use them in the music player so I don't have to select each individual song when I want to listen to it.

Apr 22, 2010Recently updated my Nokia N97 to newest version but now for some reason I got a quite annoying problem.After the update to v21 I updated my music libray as after the update I "had" no songs for some reason 30 mins later it had fond 2500 tracks I then did a new playlist with Ovi music player and transfered it to my phone. The playlist contained 16 songs but only 8 is showing on my phone and my phone says 16 songs aswell but only shows 8!?! Ive checked the storage management and the tracks has been succesfully been transfered. To sum it up: Some tracks aint showing for some odd reason never had this problem before the update.

Mar 8, 2010When I refresh library in the N97 music player it doesn't find new tracks. I have tried deleting files in the Private folder, the playlists and tracks dissappear but then when I refresh it just finds the same 232 that were there before and not new one I've added. I had to do a hard reset when the phone wouldn't switch on and that fixed the problem, however once I connect the phone to my computer in Mass Storage mode and the problem occured again. I have done a soft and hard reset and the problem persists.

Nov 2, 2015I recently bought an HTC One M9 and am generally pretty happy with it, except for the way it handles music files.
The stock music player displays downloaded amazon files with their full (tagged?) titles, e.g.
B00LVIQY6O_(disc_1)_02_-_Archie,_Marry_Me
if I amend the title it the phone claims it can't find the track *at all*.
It also claims that it cannot find some downloaded tracks from amazon *at all*. Yesterday I renamed one track (it disappeared from the phone's half-arsed gaze), moved the 'correctly' (see above) named track from the SD card to the internal drive and back again. Stock music player (and Google music player) couldn't locate it. So I deleted all copies and redownloaded to the SD card. Still bugger all. However, it could find this version on the internal drive so ... go figure.
I suppose the main questions are:
1) Why can't the phone's stock music player find all my downloaded tracks when they're located on the SD card? It's frankly hit and miss.
2) Why do both music players pitch a fit when I try to rename 'ugly' titled songs?

BB Storm 9500 :: Media Player Volume Changes When Tracks Change
Jan 13, 2010I have noticed this problem for awhile now. I did a search on the forum and noticed that others are having the problem but I don't see a solution. When I set the volume on the track I am playing either to a low setting or a high setting it always resets itself to what sounds like about 65-75% of the max volume.For example, if I set the volume at max with audio boost, it will lower the volume. If I have the volume set to 30%, it will increase to the "standard" setting.This only seems to affect the headphones (aux jack), I tried it with the external speaker and it stays the same. I have tried it with audio boost on and off, and have enabled and disabled enhanced audio.This is a terrible problem, it renders the media player almost a hazard, especially if you are riding a bike or driving a car and have to play with the volume between every song.

Mar 17, 2010I have been having a blast exploring and customizing my 9700 over the past few days and last night installed a 16GB microsd and began the process of transferring some of my music to the device via the Blackberry Media Sync app on my pc. Transfer went just fine and all files show up on the card, however when I use the Media Player on the device and select by "Album" or "Artist" the tracks are listed alphabetically rather than by track number. It's not a huge deal except when I want to listen to a particular album in track order (The Wall is just made to played that way, isn't it? ). I have looked around for a menu option or something to list by track, but have had no luck. Does anyone here know how to do this? Also, if I connect to my pc via "Mass Storage Mode" and drill down to the album folder in question the track number shows up in the windows explorer folder and all my mp3 files are saved in a "Track Number" - "Songname".mp3 format.

Feb 12, 2010I just received my N900 like a few hrs ago and I was testing the features but when I tried playing one of the songs on the phone a message popped up saying "unable to play media. Audio is in use by another application". I didn't have any other application opened at all I also tried to use the camera and the same message popped up, still no other application was opened.Another problem I noticed was when I receive a call even after pressing receive call the call still does not pick up...still rings on the other end but when I press end call it hangs up on the caller sending the call to voicemail. But making outgoing calls is no problem.I'm a nokia fan and loved all my past nokia phones last one was the N95 and still is working fine after 4yrs this is the first time I'm having such problems and am disappointed especially since the phone is new.

Aug 28, 2012I'm using Nokia 701 with music player version 17.2.17 I've around 700 songs in my memory card. In music player, I see the sorting in the order: (i) Artist & then (ii) Album be specific artist. That's okay.
But when I open the album, I see the songs in any random order. They are not sorted alphabetically.

Jun 1, 2010I got my 5230 updated to 20.0.005 last time, and actually it's a good update. The performance is better than before, but I encountered a problem that really annoying me.I love listening to music. It's everything for me. But now the music player can't detect new music files, even it's imported from a blue tooth connection. After I save it from the inbox, sometimes it said "General : System Error". The files is inside the memory card, but can't be detected by the music player although I refresh the music library. The same thing happened when I import some music files from the computer using Nokia PC Suite. In the library, there is the artist's name or the album's name, but after I clicked it, there isn't any music files inside. What happened actually with the music player?About the memory card, I got it from the phone package. It's 2 GB, and still has approx. 130 MB free. Is it the memory card or the update?

Jul 19, 2010I have installed OVI Music Player in My PC with windows XP as administrator. With my new Nokia 5235 I have got unlimited ovi music download for n year. So I registered my PC through OVI Player OVI Music tab.
Now I am able to sign in and download music from OVI Music Store.But when I am trying to play Downloaded and imported music in my PC through my music tab it is ovi player is trying to Download Microsoft Windows Media DRM. And it is failed to update DRM showing Error message "We are Unable to authorize your PC. Make sure you are connected to the internet and try again. (0xC00D2736)"
How is it possible that I am not connected to internet as I am downloading Music at the same time through OVI player and signed in to OVI music with my unlimited downloadable user id?? When I open my Music account details through OVI player OVI music Tab it is showing that this is my authorized PC then why I am not able to get DRM to play downloaded Music?
