Jan 3, 2010I noticed this just yesterday, in the iPod app the volume slider graphic is wrong. Trying to slide it will cause the volume to properly adjust, but the graphic will show the slider going back to what it was (this is a graphical glitch only, the volume stays what I set it to.) Additionally, hardware presses will not properly change the slider graphic.
I'm running... What is it, 3.1.2? Whatever the newest iPhone OS version is on an iPhone 3Gs, 32 GB, black.Has anyone else noticed this, and if so, has anyone found a fix? I'm wondering if maybe an application I wrote, which I know has a few memory leaks that need to be patched up still, may be the cause of the issue?
Xperia Pro/Neo/V/L :: Graphic Intensive Games Are Crashing On It
Mar 2, 2012I know that it is not a gaming phone but I like to play games too ( and the Xperia Pro does have an adreno 205 and a 1Ghz processor like the Xperia Play so it should be able to take a game or two).Normal games (those which are not graphic intensive) like Angry Birds RIO can be run for hours together..But hi - end games (particularly Shadowgun, Samurai II: Vengeance, Blood & Glory) are (for lack of a better word) crashing to the home screen.
The games start and I can play for some time but then they crash to the home screen. All three of them show the same behavior so I am inclined to think it is a problem with the device itself.

BB Storm 9530/9500 :: Running Very Slow - Loading Graphic Or The Spinning Clock
Jan 8, 2010So lately, I've been having trouble with my storm running very slow. It does the "loading" graphic, or the spinning clock, or whatever it's called ALL the time. I pop my battery all the time and it doesn't seem to help. And the Storm will do this even when I have barely anything open. For example, at the moment, if I press the menu key, the only programs I have are my browser, BBM, the home icon, message icon and phone icon. That's it. But every time I pick my phone up to do something, I get the loading thing. I tried clearing my browser cache, but that didn't help. I also deleted a bunch of saved y!m message logs and deleted some pics, but still no go. It never used to be this slow, I have Verizon Wireless, and I'm running on V4.7.0.148.

Sep 15, 2011Is it me or does it seem that the battery graphic on the notification bar is not telling the true story? The phone (in settings) and widgets say 70% but the icon is in no way close to 3/4 full. It looks more like 90%. It always looks fuller then the battery truly is. I do understand that 70% can be anywhere between 70-79 but that's not close to what it shows on top. It's like Apple and the signal bars and how they showed higher then reality.

Oct 22, 2011My Nokia X7 can't seem to enable it's integrated GPS module. It only uses the other services like Assisted-GPS, Wifi, Network and that sort of stuff. I just tried hardresetting it with *#7370# which totally wipes everything, but I still can't seem to get the precision in Ovi Maps. It says "Waiting for GPS" whenever I try a route. I have noticed that the device doesn't show any indicator of GPS in the indication panel corner. Might the GPS module be defecitive??
PS: I know all about the normal precedures with being a large open space and waiting 30 minutes and all. The module doesn't turn on, I can tell, since I've used Nokia Maps for ages by now.

Feb 19, 2010I am trying to understand what is free and what isn't with the GPS on my Nokia 5800, which I bought last week. I'm in Ontario, Canada. I have downloaded maps and voice guidance from the Nokia / Ovi website, and my phone has now begun to talk to me, which is rather fun. I know I can use the GPS positioning stuff free of any charges if I don't have the aGPS setting on.
To my question(s): apparently, I now have a 90 day "Drive & Walk License" on my phone. What does that enable me to do? And what won't I be able to do once the 90 days is finished? Will the voice guidance disappear after 90 days, or what?
I really am having difficulty understanding what is free and forever, but, whatever it is, it seems like it's probably a good thing...!

Jan 22, 2010I'm the rather disgruntled owner of a Nokia 6210 Navigator and have recently learnt about the free navigation offered by Ovi Maps for selected phones. I contacted Nokia's Careline in Australia only to find they were not even aware that it was possible to get a free navigation version, and point blank argued with me until I provided them a link to show otherwise. As per norm, Nokia fails to provide good customer service, however having read the forums somewhat, I am hopeful that the moderators here might be my salvation.
I'm wondering if there is a list of phones that the free navigation may be added to? I'm also on a 3 mobile (Orange in the UK I think) with vendor specific firmware, if this isn't up to par, is there anything I can do? Are there any work arounds to enable support for my 6210 Navigator? Having been a nokia user for the past 10 years, I have been very frustrated by the lack of support provided customers, if I may; Moderators - convince me to stay with Nokia.

With the 2220, when I receive a text I have set the tone I want however I cannot find if this phone will allow the tone to sound after every two minutes.
