how to enable Javascript on the Nokia Lumia 800?I've downloaded a couple of apps that won't seem to run correctly without it. I'd tried things suggested for windows phones in general but they don't seem to have the same settings for IE.
I've tried to install skype on my brand new lumia 900 from the mobile device (marketplace). But it seems I can only "share". No button to download the application on the bottom of the screen confirm that skype is avaible for download for lumia 900 ? How should I process to do so ?
I have a Lumia 900 in the US. It was only sold by ATT in the US. I however am not with ATT, I'm with Straight Talk, an MVNO. When I try to enable Internet Sharing on the phone it pops up a message saying I need to contact ATT. I have no business relationship with ATT and they cannot help me. I would like to remove this message so I can get Internet Sharing working on my phone. The phone is unlocked, but that didn't seem to make the message go away.
I have a lumia 1320, I did the update to the denim version, I changed the region, the language and the keyboard, all for English (United States), and does not work Cortana.
I tried finding a way to enable Voice of Wi-Fi, but I don't see anything about it in the settings. I tried googling it, but all I can find is references to the 521 -- does that mean Voice of Wifi is a TMO-only feature?
just updated to denim in my 1520..the camera is noticeably faster.but i can't find any settings for the HDR and rich capture..the much touted new features? is that enabled by default or if not where can i find the settings?
Have already upated my 1520 to lumia demin ,however for the new lumia camera function , it seems cannot zoom further , unlike the nokia camera which had the ability to zoom more especially taking pics of the notes in class.
I saw there's a post describing how to enable internet sharing for 1020 but one of the requirement is a foreign SIM card which I don't have.
My 1020 is a Hong Kong version got from eBay and it didn't come with a SIM. I called T-Mobile but they said since it's not from their store, it may not work, they tried to do something on their end but couldn't make it work.
My Nokia X7 can't seem to enable it's integrated GPS module. It only uses the other services like Assisted-GPS, Wifi, Network and that sort of stuff. I just tried hardresetting it with *#7370# which totally wipes everything, but I still can't seem to get the precision in Ovi Maps. It says "Waiting for GPS" whenever I try a route. I have noticed that the device doesn't show any indicator of GPS in the indication panel corner. Might the GPS module be defecitive??
PS: I know all about the normal precedures with being a large open space and waiting 30 minutes and all. The module doesn't turn on, I can tell, since I've used Nokia Maps for ages by now.
I have just tried to do a video call to a Skype account, but the video doesn't show. I can't see my contact and they can't see me.All i get is a square with an avatar in it. How do I enable video calls for Skype so that we can both see each other?I do have the new firmware update too.
I am trying to understand what is free and what isn't with the GPS on my Nokia 5800, which I bought last week. I'm in Ontario, Canada. I have downloaded maps and voice guidance from the Nokia / Ovi website, and my phone has now begun to talk to me, which is rather fun. I know I can use the GPS positioning stuff free of any charges if I don't have the aGPS setting on.
To my question(s): apparently, I now have a 90 day "Drive & Walk License" on my phone. What does that enable me to do? And what won't I be able to do once the 90 days is finished? Will the voice guidance disappear after 90 days, or what?
I really am having difficulty understanding what is free and forever, but, whatever it is, it seems like it's probably a good thing...!
Can anybody tell me that how to enable HTML formatted emails in nokia e72? I Owned a E71 & it has such a feature that I can activate HTML formatted email & Non-HTML formated emails. But I don't find any feature in Nokia E72. I receive all the mails as text messages. I use Other Emails.
I recently received a text from my network provider with a link for an application in it, However I can't open the link the option does not appear all it says is delete. Is there any way I can enable links in my phone. N96 latest firmware. unbranded I dont pretend to know everything like some people on these boards i am just trying to help. Its not all about the kudos.
I downloaded China Ovi map, but all the points of interests, such as hotels, are shown with squares, rather than chinese characters. Is there a way to enable chinese language support?
I travel a lot and I rely on Cell info to know the place where I am at that moment using my old Nokia phone(6021). In my new Nokia 5530, I do not see any where to set the Cell Info. Is it that I am looking at a different place or is there any other utility that gives the Cell Info? I have not enabled GPRS because I don't require it. I only want the Cell info.
I'm the rather disgruntled owner of a Nokia 6210 Navigator and have recently learnt about the free navigation offered by Ovi Maps for selected phones. I contacted Nokia's Careline in Australia only to find they were not even aware that it was possible to get a free navigation version, and point blank argued with me until I provided them a link to show otherwise. As per norm, Nokia fails to provide good customer service, however having read the forums somewhat, I am hopeful that the moderators here might be my salvation.
I'm wondering if there is a list of phones that the free navigation may be added to? I'm also on a 3 mobile (Orange in the UK I think) with vendor specific firmware, if this isn't up to par, is there anything I can do? Are there any work arounds to enable support for my 6210 Navigator? Having been a nokia user for the past 10 years, I have been very frustrated by the lack of support provided customers, if I may; Moderators - convince me to stay with Nokia.
I have a Nokia 5800 XM (RM-428 v31.2.101.263.04) and would like to enable auto-unlock touchscreen during incoming call. It is quite annoying to have to use touchscreen unlock slider on the side and then press "Answer" to answer any incoming call.
I have just moved from LG touch (hated it) to a very basic Nokia 2220. Previously had Samsung before.
With the 2220, when I receive a text I have set the tone I want however I cannot find if this phone will allow the tone to sound after every two minutes. All my previous phones have had this facility which I like as if you don't hear the notification sound at first it alerts you every two minutes. Is it just this phone or are all Nokia's like this?
