Oct 5, 2012Nokia Social stopped working after FP2 update. It says '' Unable to start ''.
When it was working i had problem about imaging facebook photos. The photos that i click on were so blurry that i could not see it clearly. I had hope to see a fix about that problem but it was same until it stopped working.

Nokia :: N97 - SW Update Not Working
Jan 3, 2010I got my Nokia N97 & updated it to the latest firmware (12.2.024 - Type: RM-507) via the PC software update. After that I ran SW Update & updated a few apps. Ever since whenever I execute SW Update it starts & then shuts down after about 5-10 seconds. There is 29MB of free space on the C drive.
At first I assumed something was wrong so I re-installed firmware 12.2.024, but still have the same issue.
Can anyone confirm the following:
- is this expected behaviour if all apps are up to date?
- if it is an error is there a way that I can re-install SW Update? Is a .SIS file available somewhere. I've searched, but can't find one.
Nokia :: E72 WLAN Was Not Working After Update
Apr 27, 2010I recently updated my phone to the new firmware 031.023 through the SW update application on the phone. All the updates went smoothly, until it restarted I noticed WLAN was not working I do not believe this is a bug from Nokia as WLAN is such a big component of the phone. I've tried going into WLAN wiz it comes up with a SYstem error and the connection manager does not appear to load up either.
The following day I plugged my phone into the computer and tried to re-update the firmware with Nokia software update application provided and to my knowledge (the update on the computer was around 188 MB's where as the update on the phone was approx 13 MB'S
After the computer re-installation of firmware the function of WLAN still does not appear to work.What should i do?
- Device manager still states last update was from the SW update application on phone
- IM using a E-72-1 RM-530

Apr 21, 2010After an update of Ovi Store it doesn't work on my N97? It starts but when trying to accept the terms and log in, always some error? I updated it after hard reset a week ago and no Ovi Store with N97 since then. With my other phones it works. Anyone else has the same problem? Perhaps I should try to hard reset again. I have N900, N97, E75, N95, Samsung Ultra Touch and iPhone, and N97 is the one I carry with me. It has great features that cannot be loaded afterwards if they are missing from a device (like great camera, video calls, fm-transmitter...).

Jul 8, 2010I have a very annoying problem with my Nokia 5800 XM and the Spotify-app. I updated the app to v. 0.4.3.9 yesterday and it required that I uninstalled the old version first, i.e deleting all my cached tracks. Now today when I'm going to resync (on WLAN, since it's about 500 tracks) it just won't connect. I choose the correct WLAN from the list, but the app continues being blue (not green) and then the list pops up again. I read another discussion about almost the same thing a moment ago, so I tried to go to the menu and check the WLAN connection from its menu. So I did that, and it says my WLAN has full signal strength (I'm right next to the router) but then it loses the connection and asks me again which network I want to use. I have not had any issues with WLAN in any other app, and I have synced tracks with Spotify on my WLAN before, so I have no idea where the problem lies. Maybe something with the update and my WLAN? I don't know...
About the attachments: The list that shows several times and then the WLAN list where I'm connected to my network and it has full strength. "Marsvinsfarmen" is my network.

Nov 10, 2011today i saw there was an update for the ovi maps with enhanced drive navigation of 16 mb(optional) i decided to update it..i was downloaded properly n also installed,bt wen i saw all the maps icons in the application folder i was a bit shocked.then i opened ovi maps bt within seconds it says that 'feature not supported' i was tensed n i restord my phone to factory settings.bt there was no use of it.it was same.

Dec 14, 2012I have had yellow Lumia 920 now for about 3 weeks and everything worked just fine. Yesterday evening (european time) I saw update reminders on the "shop" tile and there were 3 or 4 of them (Nokia drive+ and some others that I don't remember). I was doing something and didn't give a thought but just let the updates to be downloaded and installed and they went fine as far as I know. Today when I tried to take photos the camera suddenly dosen't work anymore.
No matter if I click the hardware button or the camera app tile, it just flip back to live tiles. Camera doesn't work on Bing search either and not on any apps that utilized the camera.I wonder if anyone else have this problem or what I should do next. I have restart the phone a few times but it didn't work. I haven't hard reset it because I have so many stuff in the phone, if there is a easy way to do it I rather not hard reset it.

Jul 8, 2010I just got this phone last week and am quite happy with it. However, I am now having an issue. I updated the sofware through the Nokia updating system through Ovi Suite and now all of a sudden my 1-touch dialing doesn't work properly. I had #2 setup with a name and photograph, but it got wiped during the update. Now I can't assign any names/numbers to any of the 1-touch spots, it just acts like it does. I double-press the number, it takes me to the contacts list, I press the name I want, then hit Select at the bottom of the screen, then it takes me back to the 1-touch screen but doesn't assign the contact to that number. The same thing when I go to Options>Assign, hit the name, Select. Nothing. Has any body else had this problem? If so how is it solved? I couldn't find any mention of it in these message boards. I do use this feature quite often so I'd like to get it fixed.

Nokia :: 5800 Auto Rotate Not Working After Update To V50 Firmware
Jun 11, 2010As soon as I updated phone to latest firmware, auto rotate stopped working. Previous firmware I had was v21. I made update through Nokia Ovi Suite. I tried several methods to restore auto rotate:
1. restore factory settings (soft reset)
2. unmark auto rotate, restart, mark auto rotate
3. removing battery for few minutes
4. finally tried hard reset
And auto rotate is still not working. Is there anything else that can be done to enable auto rotate again?
