I cannot install the Nokia Ovi Europe map on my N70. Each time I need to access this map I have to open an internet connection. This is wasteful in financial terms and I wonder if anyone knows how to download this map for permanent installation on th N70.

I recently bought Nokia 6760 and I wanted to update Europe Maps (that's 2.2GB) As i had 2GB card in the phone, i changed it for 4GB SDHC, all files copied and still 3.6GB free space on the card. Now Ovi maps is telling me there's not enough space on the card to copy the Europe Maps, why?
View 3 Replies View RelatedAgain, I am starting the topic of Nokia Map Loader. I have read all the topics regarding this issue here and on other forums, nothing works for me. I can't seem to have a way of downloading the Europe maps, when I go to the Pc Suite mode, the phone drive is visible and download is almost possible but when I choose a map, even a small one, the disc space information shows e.g. -53MB available space. If I go to the mass storage mode, in accordance with the instructions here:

I get the info message: One of the phones is connected in mass storage mode... And when I tick the info box, waiting for phone appears and nothing happens. Map loading to N900 is a JOKE my friends. If anybody can help me, I'd be grateful. I have tried deleting the cities folder and then recreating it once more. My PC operating system is WIndows 7.
I've got German T-Mobile N97. I've been trying to "unlock" Maps on it ever since I saw that "Maps are free" ad. I've survived a couple of updates since than but nothing seams to happen. I keep getting "Your Europe navigation license has expired on X.X.X. Buy new license to continue suing navigation?" If I say Yes, I get prompted to pay fee for a month or a year. If I say No, voice guidance closes. Any idea why is this so and what can I do to get voice guidance working? Both Ovi Suite and N97 seam to be up to date: 2.2.0.245/21.0.045.

I have just updated my OVI Maps 3.0 to 3.03 on my Nokia E52 which I regret a lot. I don't have a dashboard, tools, internet connection setting is a mess, no compass controls so some reason it goes online with 3G and WLAN simultaneously. Before WLAN was a priority. Can anyone tell me how can I install old ovi maps 3.01 (or whatever it was before) without resetting the whole phone? On the ovi website it gives me only new 3.03, no old ones.

A program required for this installation could not be executed. Contact your technical support or the package editor". I am assuming this is a compatibility issue with SP2. PC suite has the same issue.

The podcasting app from URL...doesn't want to install on my E70; it objects with "Expired certificate".I've tried with the certificate verification both enabled & disabled in the Installer plus also allowing unsigned apps to install.This is the only app that won't install on my device - I have a dozen others including Opera, Google Maps and all the std Nokia ones like SMS Accelerator & Zip Manager.

Want to install the latest update PR.1.1 that came out today, but despite removing every application installed on there (something that I only did 4 days ago with the last update, then spent time re-installing them), I still can't install it.

View 3 Replies View Relatedit's obvious (although nokia doesn't document or express anything) that the ever so precious and small c-drive on n97 is a fast memory sitting on a fast and wide parallel type of bus - and the e-drive or "massmemory" has substantially slower access times, perhaps sitting on a limited speed serial type of bus. i believe many of the problems we experience with n97 is access violations, timeouts, etc, is due blindly installing everything on drive e in a desperate attempt to free up memory in c

any apps that does not need to be on c to run fast and smooth?i'm down to 28,0mb on c, but that should be enough?i'm also thinking about moving my sms to c to avoid the access errors seen so many times (at least with fw 20)?
