May 4, 2010As I hate to wear my glasses, is there any way to enlarge the FONT on the HOME SCREEN? Or is there a good "THEME" that someone can recommend that will allow me to change the FONTS on the HOME SCREEN? I have enlarged the FONTS on the rest of the screens ( emails, text's etc) but am stuck with the microscopic fonts on the home screen.

Jun 23, 2014I just got my first iPhone, the 4s. v 7.1.1. I'm familiar with Pages on the iMac…but Pages for the iPhone - I can see how to change text that's already been written, but how do you choose the font size before starting the document? In the document manager, I'm selecting "Blank", to start. Once I start typing, the font is big enough to read, but to just open and read the document would be impossible, it's that tiny. Â
Also, in Document Manager, the document titles are totally impossible to read, and I cannot find a way to change their fonts.Â

Aug 21, 2014I've had a 1520 for a few months now, fitted with a 64GB memory card. It's got pretty full as I install all my apps, games, photos and videos on it.
Decided to get one of the new 128GB SanDisk cards... Turned off the phone, took card out and copied all my data off the old card onto the new one via a PC, even made sure the new card had the same name as the old one. However when I put the new card in the phone and turned it on, it saw it as a new card and asked me if I wanted to use it to store stuff on. I said yes... but when I went to the photo gallery there was nothing there...
I put my old card back in and all was fine again... the 128GB one is definitely not a fake, I bought a few directly from SanDisk through the place where I work. Incidentally I upgraded the card in my Surface Pro 2 following same procedure and it worked like a charm.

Mar 16, 2010I have a 5800 XM with Ovi Maps v 3.03. Is it possible to make the street names larger in size? The street names are only 1 milimeter in height in both 2D and 3D view, regardless of zoom level. I am aware there is the street name you are currently on in the center top section in a larger font size, which definitely helps, but it would be nice to have the larger fonts for surrounding streets.Also, is there a way to get rid of the white bar on the right side that houses the "search" and "menu" links? The 5800's screen is already small for GPS standards, and this white bar subtracts almost 1 cm of valuable screen real-estate. It would be nice to not have the white bar and have the "search" and "menu" links stay where they are, but perhaps have a white highlight around the letters or something like that.

Jan 16, 2010I am about to leave switch back to AT&T from Verizon on a GoPhone/PYP basis or perhaps T-Mobile in the same contract mode. Have been using a Voyager which is a competent device but has never been as good as I thought it would be. The screens are too small as is the keyboard, the OS isnt great and got over the wonders of touch screen in a hurry. I want a phone with larger qwerty buttons, and a larger screen, good battery life, and great reception. I am not a techy, don't need the latest and greatest, and don't want to spend a lot of money. At this point that leaves me with 3 choices: the e63, the e62, the e90, or the 9300. The e63 should be the no brainer as it is feature rich and modern at an amazing price but the keys are too small as is the screen. The e62 appears to have larger keys and a larger screen and can be had on e-bay for a $60. I have heard that the OS is sluggish but I am not a heavy user and am patient so thats not a dealbreaker. The 9300 is almost prehistoric and heavy and yet it can be bought brand new for $100 and in return I get a solid phone, great battery life, great reception, as well as a spacious qwerty keyboard and a large screen (dont need camera and can live w/o wifi). The e90 appears to be the dream phone but its really expensive, used ebay guessing at more or less than $350. I am not gonna spend that kind of money. I am not a data user, dont need the latest and greatest OS, am partial to Nokia because of reception concerns. Any feedback/insight will be appreciated.

May 13, 2012Is there any way to restore the clock font to a single font? When my phone is locked and I slide open the keyboard it has the cool original clock display my phone came with. It also shows the good font when I get to the "draw pattern to unlock" screen. The more square text seems correct for the Droid 2 while the boring round font on the opening screen seems to be a software goof/oversight.

Nov 27, 2015Strange thing I noticed. I like small text, so I changed from the standard 350% to 300%. Went to the store, and had 26 updates. This was yesterday.
While I do like the smaller, crisp font, the dialer numbers are very small, so I just re-set back to 350%. Went to the store and boom, there are, again, 26 updates.
What's with that? Do apps really install different versions depending on your font size? That seems pretty strange to me.

Dec 29, 2010I want to change the system font on my Nokia N8 because I don't like it. I don't find it comfortable to read, and I especially don't like that *everything* takes on this font - even web pages which use their own font, in the N8 browser this is always changed to Nokia's font! My research seems to have offered me three options for changing the font.
Method 1: Installing a couple of unsigned apps that apparently only actually works on S60 smartphones and is likely to just not work or even break the N8.
Method 2: Involves copying some fonts renamed to a specific folder on a memory card - however for some bizarre reason if you do this you can no longer access the Ovi Store!
Method 3: Installing an application from the Ovi Store that is designed to let you change the system font, however no one who mentions this says what this app is called so I fear they may be talking nonsense and no such app exists!
So is there any way to change the N8 font that actually works and doesn't mess up the phone?
