Example, now I set my phone language as English then my map shown in English else set phone language to Thai then map will show in Thai. Is it possible to used phone language in English but map label shown in Thai? because phone language in Thai has many incorrect translations.

Dec 15, 2012I recently bought Nokia Lumia 920 in UAE. It came pre-installed with all Nokia location service apps - Nokia Maps, Nokia Drive+, Nokia City Lens, Nokia Transit. By default, a lot of stuff, directions, routes, info comes in Arabic language. Now, i am an expat living in UAE (like the other 90% of the population) and i do not read or understand Arabic. How can i make all these apps show me info in English? Its bugging me a lot cause am unable to use any of these apps properly.

Neither Nokia suite nor built-in device manager can see any update available, Nokia store still offers Maps v3.09 12wk09 b05 bundled into Nokia maps suite.

Apr 30, 2012a few days ago, I installed the map of Argentina and Chile on my C6-01 Belle, trough Nokia Suite 3.4.35. Those maps seems to be uncomplete, since as I browse the maps on Nokia Maps 3.09, the phone starts downloading the specific part of the maps I want to ses. Also, when I set Maps 3.09 offline, I cannot see parts of the maps.I tried to delete all maps from my C6-01 and downloading them again directly from the phone. Maps 3.09 refuses to download maps and gives me the error "unrecoverable download error'. Of course when I did that, I was connected to my home wifi.So, after all maps were removed from the phone, I installed them again through Nokia Suite, but that didn't solved the issue. Still my phone keeps donwloading parts of the maps as I browse them.

Nov 4, 2011I am trying to import a LMX file with 200 waypoints of a walk in Scotland which I wish to do.
Ignoring the fact that this may not result in a useful waypoint file, I have so far created the file in both GPX and KML formats and converted each to LMX format using GPSBabel and then stored the LMX file on the 5800.
Once saved on my 5800, I am able to load the LMX file and end up with 200 discrete POI's in my Favourites (which is not really what I want!) but more worringly, the points when viewed on OVI maps are placed in the Indian Ocean no matter which format I convert from.
If I can find out why the co-ords are duff and get a good output file I will then see if I can create the waypoint file I actually need,

Nokia Navigation :: While Navigation Compas Does Not Orientate
Dec 12, 2011Maps 3.08 does not let me calibrate my compass (at least not by ticking once or twice at the compass). By consequence, while navigating it does not orientate the display with the top in the forward direction. I found a workaround by using a separate compass application, calibrate the compass there, and then Maps works perfect. There must be a easier way to calibrate the compass from within the Maps application.

Aug 6, 2010Navigation used to work fine on my X6, but since having to do a hard reset of the phone (due to other problems!) I cannot use the Navigation.
Everytime I get the error 'navigation cannot start at this location' and it doesn't seem like the phone can ever pick up my location.I have tried un-installing and re-installing the application but to no-avail!I haven't even wasted my time calling Nokia Support, as they are totally useless!

Aug 22, 2012getting very frustrated with this now. I have given my dad my N95 to help him get around but just cant get the map navigation to work. I downloaded the Nokia Map Loader (I had to go to a third party website as the Nokia links were all broken) and have the map/voices but when my dad tries to use the navigation it tells him he has to pay.Obviously, I know that Nokia have now made these services free to complete with other company's devices, I'm just being stupid and not going to the right place to download them.
