I finally found a good headset that works, mic and all, to replace the **bleep** nokia one.As you may have found out if you waned a decent headset, nokia decided to screw its customers (in yet another way) my switching the mic and ground on the connecter.I was about to make my own adapter by cutting and resplicng a 2.5-3.5 adapter when I came across this headset with included adapter that does just that. They also sell the adapter separate, so you can use almost any 3-ring TRRS 3.5mm headset and have full function of the mic, answer/call button and sound in both ears. Here is the headset:
I have a Nokia BH-505stereo bluetooth headset, but it only works with my Nokia phones C7 and N900, not with a PC.I can establish a connection to my PCs, but there's no sound coming from the headset, instead it keeps coming from the PC's loudspeakers.I have 1 desktop PC (+bluetooth dongle) dual booting Windows XP and LInux Mint Debian Edition , and a laptop (bt built-in) dual booting Win 7 and Lubuntu 12.04 - the problem is the same on all 4 OSs.
I have a new Torch 9860.When I tried to make a call, there was no ringing tone, so after about 20 seconds I looked at screen and saw it has been connected for 10 seconds, but I couldn't hear the other person. Tried again via speakerphone and with handsfree earphones, and these work. Also tried phoning bb from another phone and I hear it ring, when when I answer "normally" I can't hear caller unless I select speakerphone or plug in the earphones.
So my fiancee got an iPhone this weekend, and we also picked up a Plantronics BT headset at the store as well. I asked the sales rep which one would work well with the iPhone, and he didn't seem to ahve any preference and said anything should work. Well, unfortunately, it doesn't work with the iPhone's voicedial. When you press the button on the headset, it doesn't do anything unless you're answering a call. And I know it has nothing to do with being a cheap headset because I have a really cheap Southwing, probably cheaper than the Plantronics, that I got someplace for my old phone, and that works great. Can anyone recommend a ~$40 headset that works?
I have a Galaxy S5 and I love S-health but the phone is a bit too big for my taste for taking it to a run in the park so I'd like to buy a smart device that works with S-Health and can play music through a bluetooth headset, any device that can do this?
I have been experiencing a funny problem when charging my N97. I bought my phone in August last year. It had been working fine till now and still is. I really have no complaints when it is concerned to performance and usablity. Initial issues were promptly solved with the firmware updates.
Yesterday night, I found out that I had this problem. When I hooked up my phone with my charger, it did not show any light. I tried to use the charger on another mobile(SAMSUNG) which sports the same USB port as my N97 and it worked ! I also used the samsung charger (though its only 700mA) on my N97 and the charging indicator glowed ! To my surprise, the charger adapter pin that ships with the N97 allowing us to charge the phone with older chargers also allowed me to charge my phone. In short, everything charged my phone(including USB) except the provided charger.
Secondly, of lately the headset has become dogdy. Earlier, even if I ran while having hooked up, the connection was good. Now, even if I move the slightest, the phone looses the connection with the headset and the headset icon disappears. Then I need to plug it out and the plug it in again for about 2-3 times to get the icon to reappear. Now if anyone can explain to me why this is happening and the solution to it, I would be really happy.
the headset icon stays even if i remove the headset. I tried to restart and restore my phone but if i plug in the headset again and removed, the head icon stays again.
I have audio through the headset or speakerphone with no issue but none through the handset. Did a battery pull but that did not resolve the issue. I also just upgraded to Rogers OS 5.0.0.743 not sure if this is what caused the problem.
I bought a 9700 two months ago, pay as you go Orange, a now I can make calls only with the handset plugged in. When I make calls, there is a sign upper left the screen which indicates to plug the headset. People can hear me but I can't hear them or barely with a "bip sound" which cut the line almost every second. Otherwise, with the headset it works perfectly well!.I did try to pull the battery while on but no recovery, I did a wipe (except for emails). Please note I do not receive emails anymore (I have a monthly contract with Orange for BB emails).

I'm often getting this icon and I can't understand why. It causes problems as sometimes (when the icon is displayed) I can't answer my calls. Does anyone know why this happens and how to stop it?
My phone has been acting up since installing the latest iOS 7.1.1. The back lighting for the screen works intermittetly. I have been able to get it to come back on by turning the phone off and back on, but not every time. Once I enabled VoiceOver through Siri and turned ScreenCurtain On and Off. Other times, just clicking the home button and a few times on a notification that would turn the back lighting on. The phone seems to want to respond to turning the back lighting on, but does not do it every time it should. It usually takes 10 - 30 minutes of me working with it to get it to come back on. The phone has not been dropped and is in an Otterbox case.
I just bought a new Nokia J headset and I can't pair it with the Nokia N8, the phone simply doesn't find it or any other BT device. My computer can find it all other devices I've tried. The phone works fine with BT devices that were already paired but won't pair new ones. I've tried the new Headset on another phone and no problems, even my computer pairs with it so it's my N8 for sure.
I've paired the headset with my E63. I don't know if it's a problem or it's normal but I try to explain. During calls, if the volume is set near to maximum I can hear myself (very softly not loud) or the noises around me, obviously I can hear the caller/called with no problem. Mic too sensitive or it's normal?
I need to use a headset with my N97 mini as I do a lot of driving so I purchased a Bluetrek headset. I paired the device and everything was ok, the headset icon was on on the phone. However when I make a call, the sound still comes through the handset rather than the headset. I then got a friend to ring me and I answered via the headset, however the sound still came through the handset. I thought it might be a faulty headset so I tried the standard wired headset you get with the phone, this did the same. The sound was still coming through the handset.
Did a search and came up with a couple of models, but for all you E71 users out there - I'm in the market for a new Bluetooth headset for my E71-2.Any recommendations? I've come across good reviews for the Motorola H715 and the Nokia BH-602.
There is a function to autoanswer incoming call while headset is connection. But it is not working. I can't answer any phone cals while I am driving a bike
I have problems with speakers and headset. Even at highest level it's sometimes hard to hear. For example GPS indications in the car. But also with Headset, if people are talking nearby I can't even hear the music! Is there some kind of security switch?
From some reason I cannot use my headset (the ones that came with the X6) as a handfree kit.
I plug them in - choose Headset option - but cannot hear anything when someone calls me or when I call someone else. Am I missing something?I haven't experienced any problems with the music player. When I choose the Headphones option to listen to music everything is noraml. However, I am not able to control the music (play/pause, fwd, next, sound) with the remote. Why is that?
