View 4 Replies View RelatedOVI does copy outlook address and Note fields on its base (and on the Nokia base), but NOT onto the mobile although Memory size is big enough (see later). Sync message is "success". I restarted from scratch to avoid all conflicts (Phone, Ovi and Nokia internet base totally emptied). Sync works OK and copies outlook contacts fully on its own base, but address fields are not copied onto the mobile (Telephone connected via USB)
The only way I found to get them onboard was to copy contacts (drag & drop) from Ovi onto the phone. Unfortunately, this causes all other fields (Phone numbers, E-mail) to be copied again as if they were additional fields and synchronization pushes all theese additional fields on Ovi Data base and Nokia data base. Finally I get a base not usable to be transferred on other phones. I suppose this is because Nokia software does not recognize Telephone 2 or address 2 outlook fields as such. It would be ok with me if I had a way to get all existing outlook address fieds being copied at the beginning. Thanks for any help
This is an old phone, I know, but I am wanting to get some images from it on to the computer. I have connected it via the USB connection but my computer is searching in vain for driver software. How do I get the images moved over. Do I need a memory card and can I still buy one for this old model?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have had the 'Nokia 6500 slide' a year and a half, and have never managed to use my dictionary. Every time I try to open it it says.
'Vocabulary files not found or unavailable' - Vocabulary memory card not found or not functioning. Two ways to fix it:
1. download files to local PC from www.nokia-asia.com/vocabulary and then copy them to "Dictionary" folder of memory card.
2 Copy preinstalled files from CD rom into Dictionary folder in memory
I've already tried download the files, putting the extracted 2 files in the dictionary file in PC Suite and still the dictionary doesn't work, and that annoying message comes on. I haven't read the CD rom because I don't know where I put it. How to install my dictionary?

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Nokia 3600 converts SMS into MMS automatically if the numbers of characters exceeds 918 (6 SMS).If I delete some characters sometimes it offers the possibilty to reconvert to SMS in the 'Options' menu (other times not); sometimes it does it automatically (not consistent).
But sometimes even if I have a lot less characters and then I use certain accented characters (French) it does the same and it can't be reconverted to SMS. Other accented characters don't have the same effect.(I spell them out because I don't know how they would be displayed:
- characters always OK: 'a' grave, 'e' acute and grave, 'u' grave
- characters not accepted: 'c' cedilla, 'o' circumflex)
My 2600 and 2610 never did this: I could write much longer messages up to the total limit (split into more SMS) without any problem.Is there a fix for this bug?

It is a paid application so, when I get a message, maximum download attempts reached, it is very upsetting. I have logged feedback request via the built in feature in the application store and you can see clearly Nokia does not care what response they send a person.Upon further research, I find some other applications have this issue too.
