Nokia :: 5300 Xpress Music - Music Player Not Reading From Memory Card
I have a Nokia 5300 Xpress Music, and it was running fine for me, until yesterday when i transferred some songs via USB from my computer. The Phone can open my memory card, and open the songs, but the actual music player, which is supposed to read music from all over the phone and memory card, is only reading music from the actual phones music folder,which can hold about one or two songs. I really need it to read music from my card as well.

Nokia Music :: Music Player Not Refreshing The Memory Card?
I have , once, removed my mobile phone from data cable without safety remove and there it gave me lot of troubles. My facebook was not able to be connected through the provided application and my music player stopped working as and stopped refreshing saying that "File corrupted"
Finally. i removed my memory card, formatted it and made it worked.
Nokia should consider fixing these issues as we respect them a lot and think that they are still the #1 hardware vendor and will keep giving us good options than Samsung - android and will compete with apple phones.

Nokia Nseries :: N8 - Music Player Does Not Show Track Progress Bar
I am having this annoying problem after the belle refresh update. Earlier the music player used to show track progress bar perfectly. Now after the update it does not show progress bar most of the time while playing a song.
On further observation, I noticed that the progress bar shows up correctly everytime for the songs which does not have a album art embedded in it. But if I play a song with a album art, most of the time the progress bar does not appear at all. Try playing few different songs with album art attached.
Also earlier tapping on the album art/icon used to display the volume up-down slider. Now that feature is gone. Since I use a hard cover, it's difficult for me to use the hardware volume buttons every time. Why did you remove a useful feature nokia?

Nokia :: N95 - Player Not Showing The Music Files In The Memory Card
I've just bought a N95. The problem with it is that the Music player of the phone doesn't see all my musics files. I got like, 100+ songs in my memory card, in the folder "Sound" --> "Digital" coz that's how my seller did it for me and 1 song in the phone memory. The player can see the songs in my memory card but only 6 of them, not the rest 90+ songs.
I know this since there's only 1 song in my phone memory but 7 in the Music player. And when I go into "Applications" and pplay my musici with "Jukebox", the whole collection is there. I'd prefer Nokia Music player to Jukebox (obvious reason) but the player can't seem to "see" my songs.

Nokia :: N82 Music Player Does Not Pick Up Songs On Memory Card
Every time when I try to upgrade my music library by drag and drop songs onto the memory card Sounds>Digital, the music library only displays the old songs. I've tried reformatting the memory stick multiple times, but ony the first time right after the reformat that the songs I add in show up in the music library. After the first time, no song will ever show up. This is really frustrating. I don't want to reformat my memory stick every time I add new songs. I do not want to use cable transfer through the Nokia software because it takes forever. Help!Message Edited by corona7w on 25-Jan-2009 12:42 AM

Nokia Music :: 5800 Music Player Library Won't Read Music Files
I have an Xpress 5800 and it was working fine until one day I put my micro SD card in my work PC, which automatically started syncing the music through Windows Media Player. After that, the music player library in the 5800 just will not recognise the music files on the micro sd card. I can still play the same music files through the file manager on the phone (one by one) but the music player library just won't be able to locate any music files on my card when I choose "Refresh Music Library" from the Music Player menu.
More so, when I choose "View Card Details", it counts the music files as "other files" rather than "Sound files". But if I put in another sd card in the phone (from my previous E66) then it works with music player on the 5800 just fine.
I suspect it's the WMP which has written something on my sd card which has stopped the 5800 from reading it properly.

Nokia Music :: N97 Music Player Doesn't Display Music
I have a problem since yesterday regarding the music player application on my N97. Namely, it will not display any of my music - it displays "no songs" for whatever section (Artists, Albums, etc.). Of course, I checked the file system and all music is there, safe and sound. It should be noted that the music files are in .mp3 or .m4a format, placed appropriately (mass storage, folder "Music"). And I hadn't had this sort of problem until yesterday, when I was trying to sync music with my PC using Ovi Player and Ovi Suite. They both recognize my music files and display all albums and songs accordingly. To make it more interesting, when I choose "Music library details" option in the music library main screen, it displays the correct information (1490 songs, modified 26.11. etc.), but it simply won't list any music saying that I have none!
What I tried:
- refreshing the library a number of times - it reports "0 files added" and continues to behave in the same way;
- importing some new music (via PC) and refreshing the library - the same outcome;
- switching phone off and on (including removing the battery);
- resetting the phone to factory settings.
It's running the newest firmware version (v20).
In my opinion, the problem is not caused by the music files, but the music player application itself. So I don't think that formatting the mass storage would do the trick. Someone correct me if I'm mistaking.
