Before my system upgrade on my s5 i could fast forward my music while the phone was in lock screen mode. Since system upgrade that facility is no longer available can I get it back.
View 1 RepliesI use nokia 5230. after I updated from 12.0.089 to 20.0.005. I feel better on dragging menu icon, faster and wider screen web browser, more stable music player. but I found some bugs that:
1. When I opened web browser for 3-4 pages with music player and then went to menu(all programs still opened) screen still show contact bar and menu's icons didn't showed.
2. Programs installer are much time freezes if open after downloaded from web browser immediately.
3. Sometime menu icons don't responded espectially specially the Application icon and Log icon
4. Phone lock slide bar sometime vibrate agaist the slide but sometime not.
The lock screen displays what appears to be a media player instead of the normal date & time - I've disabled all the media players on the phone .. but can't seem to figure out what the issue is?

View 2 Replies View RelatedOn my iPhone, when I would receive a text message, my lock screen would show who the message was from but it wouldn't include a "preview" of what the message said. It just said Text Message and the persons name. Whenever I receive a text message on my Galaxy S6, is it not possible for the alert on my lock screen to just say "New Message" or just even the contact's name and no preview of the message?
Under Notifications settings --> Notifications on lock screen -- I have the option of Show Content or Do Not Show Notifications.
Shouldn't there be additional options of "turn preview off". Something to that effect? Same with my emails. I'd rather it just say who the email is from an not a snippit of the email contents. Is this possible for email and text messages?
I just bought this device, love it so far. When I use a Google Voice command like, "play Madonna", it defaults to Sound Picker and doesn't play any songs. I noticed Music app is not even listed as a choice. See pic.
Is there a way to have the stock Music app as one of the choices instead of Sound Picker?
I have a serious problem involving my music files which I have transferred via USB to my Nexus 5. After a system update to Android 5.1, my local music files still exist on the device but DO NOT show up in any music player. I have tried to use Google Play Music (my default music player) as well as other music players from the Play Store. ALL indicate that I have zero song files on my device which I know is definitely NOT true. I used to be able to play them and view all albums in Google Play Music but now the music files are ONLY accessible via ES File Explorer.

My music player doesn't show any music i add now. I can see and play those music files through OI FILE MANAGER. It is Android 4.0.4 Also i had excluded one of my personnel folder from media scan. but still it shows that folder and its contents in pictures.

There's nothing in recently added and I tried refreshing it, but it showed me 'General:System Error' and stopped refreshing. I checked in my file manager and the songs are still there.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have upgraded the firmware from v31.0.101 to v50.0.005 and I had the unpleasent surprise to find that the music player is no longer working. It plays only the files stored in the phone memory and is unable to update the library. It shows music files on the memory card that were deleted longtime ago and refresh library does not change anything: always shows refresh complete 0 files added. When I connect the phone to the PC, the Ovi Player doesn't see the phone and even the device manager shows that there is a problem with the portable device (conneced in PC Suite or Media Transfer modes). Done even a hard reset but nothing has changed except that it has lost the applications it had in the phone memory.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI no longer see a "card" for my text notifications on my lock screen after the lollipop upgrade on my Galaxy S5.
I get the status "notification bar" (see attached screenshot), but I want the "card" (like the "New voice mail" card in the screenshot) to appear on my lock screen - I don't want to have to tap the "notification bar" for the rest of my notifications. Hopefully I'm just missing a setting, and this is not the expected behavior....
Here's what I've tried (and what my settings are):
1) Lock Screen/Screen Lock is set to swipe.
2) Sounds and Notification/While Locked is set to "Show All Content".
3) Applications/Messages/Notifications/Preview Message is checked.
4) Applications/ApplicationManager/Messages -> Show notifications is checked.
5) I have cleared the cache for Messages Application.
6) I have done a cache partition wipe.
Can anyone recommend a free music player I can download to replace the useless Anna one on my n8?

View 1 Replies View RelatedUsing u/bittorrent the files download no problem and are playable if i click on them in the torrent app or in the file manager, but do not show up in the music app. I tried moving them around in file manager to no avail. I switched from utorrent to bit torrent, deleting all the files and torrent app which seemed to work, i was sure all the albums were still in the music app since ive been listening to music all day but now it appears that they are not present in the app. I have restarted but am leaning towards a factory reset. Also, music i downloaded as zip files are recognized after i extract them on the phone, idk if that means anything to yall.

I am trying to download music from OVI PLAYER.I have got a 1 year subs license since i bought and X6 and it comes with it.
The problem that i am facing it cannot download a song and the error message given is THE NETWORK CONNECTION TO THE MEDIA SERVER COULD NOT BE MADE.
I have a galaxy s6 stock everything and the lock screen is really bugging me. I don't like how the song you're playing shows up as a notification instead of having a full screen player widget like iPhones. Is there any way to get this show it shows full screen album artwork as well as volume controls with music apps such as the default music player or Spotify. Also on apps like mlb at bat I can't even pause the sound.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having this annoying problem after the belle refresh update. Earlier the music player used to show track progress bar perfectly. Now after the update it does not show progress bar most of the time while playing a song.
On further observation, I noticed that the progress bar shows up correctly everytime for the songs which does not have a album art embedded in it. But if I play a song with a album art, most of the time the progress bar does not appear at all. Try playing few different songs with album art attached.
Also earlier tapping on the album art/icon used to display the volume up-down slider. Now that feature is gone. Since I use a hard cover, it's difficult for me to use the hardware volume buttons every time. Why did you remove a useful feature nokia?
My Nokia E-5 music player does not show all songs. The file manager does though. I have tried everything that I could, from the internet. No solution yet. Nokia wont address it. Please don't ask me to refresh my music player.

From the Media player you will have a file called Music,and from Motorola you will have a file MML Mobile.

I tried moving the files around to the default music folder, and even the folder with the samsung song that came with the phone. No luck.
My last phone (nexus 4) recognized the files instantly, even found the album art and organized all of them no matter where the files were located. I really don't understand what the problem is, I thought this was supposed to be an upgrade.
Would putting the files on a micro SD card work at all?
