Nokia :: 5530 Wlan Router Security Key Doesn’t Ask Key
May 11, 2010I am using Nokia 5530 XpressMusic Phone for some months. The problem started a month ago when I tried to connect to my WLAN router. There is a security key on my router but when I connect through my Nokia Phone, it doesn't ask for any key (with my Laptop, I can connect to the WLAN with the preshared key). It simply connects to the router without they key and when I start browsing, it says "No Gateway Reply". Thinking this might be the settings problem I soft reset my phone but still the problem remains. The point is, it only does this with my own router. Anyone know how to sort this out?

Jan 28, 2010I turned on Auto Lock for the 5530. It prompted me for my lock code so i used the default factory lock code 12345. That worked, but then it told me that "Lock Code Expired". Then a New Lock Code screen comes up. I entered a new code, lets say 123456. Confirmed the code. Then I get an error message saying "Must contain both letters and numbers". But the 5530 only allows me to enter numbers and symbol characters. There are no letters to enter. So I am totally locked out of my phone.
I tried a hard reset RED + GREEN + Photo buttons but that did not work.

Apr 28, 2012I've security code set on my 603, but somehow my 7 year son could get through (and he doesn't know the passcode). I had put it on charging on power plug. He somehow managed to get in. Not sure how it would have happened. How in the heavens could he get past security code. I've my corporate email account set and it doesn't allow to turn security code off for that reason.
I could recover from 7 day old backup. Some sms are lost and all app need to be reinstalled now. Many standard app that came in bundled didn't come back after recovering from backup.

Jul 10, 20123 days ago, everything from my internal memory (videos and pictures) disappeared!After 4 hours of work and almost nerve breakdown i managed to save 90% percent of material by manual transfer to PC.nsequences:- 1,5GB of memory not avaible- Phone is not working properly (everything is kinda slow) tried 8 second reset but it didn't solve anything.y next step is to try factory reset but none of usual security codes (12345, 0000 or 00000) doesn't work!Cellular phone is 18 months old and i still have 6 months warranty ( i can prove it because i have a bill for it)

May 3, 2010I have a nokia 6086, bought at Orange France. I have changed the security code after buying, using probably one of my usual code (I have a few ones). but I did not write it, because it was an evident usual one. a few month ago I flash a new version of the firmware with PC Suite update tool. I've restored the data with PC Suite backup tool. no problem.
(I now suspect the security code to be reset to 12345)
I've also asked my operator (orange.fr) the code to unlock the Phone and accept foreign SIM. it worked. No relation normaly. 3 weeks ago I've acquired an indonesian XL SIM, and suddenly I could only access the SIM content, not my phone names list. I try to confgure it to access the phone names and it refuses my usual code. I make a few test, then many combination. then manymany in case I've choosend a perverse code, or a default code like 00000 or 12345. It was emitting no unusual moaning, no lock. I've thus make many tests, and retries. that I've found on internet that the initial code is 12345 but it did not work.
I've read that after 5 fails I should wait 5 minutes. I've respected that constraint and make a few tests, but no better. I suspect the code to be reset to 12345 by the firmware update, but also that my phone is "locked" by my many attempts. officially after 5 minutes it should works but maybe there is a definitive long term lock in case of to many tries?
Is there a way to reset the timer/counter of failures, so I can test the security code? the most stupid is that I can still read my numbers with PC Suite, OVI, through bluetooth and the USB cable. I think about updating the firmware and restoring the current frmware, then restoring the data.
