Have a 5530 Xpress Music. Yesterday while I was typing a text message the touchscreen was not responding properly, inputting wrong letters or not responding at all.Today, when somebody tried calling me there was a loud beeping coming from the phone. Just now, I switched off the phone and turned it back on to hear the same beeping again.

View 4 Replies View RelatedEver since I downloaded the new OS I can no longer type, text, email properly. I use the full keyboard in both portrait and landscape view. The problem is that every time I type, the words constantly change themselves. They do not follow my command so they change. Before, If I was to type "dfsnfjns" it would stay as that. Now if I type that it will automatically change to a word that I did not want there such as "deafens", etc. In the keyboard settings, the auto correct feature is disabled. Can someone please help me fix my problem?

I live in Trinidad, so there is no recognized company or nokia trianed technicians I can send it to.I did however send it to a general phone technician, he said that the touch sensor isnt working and he needs to get a touch sensor (have to wait 2-3weeks for this as there is a lack of parts for the N97 in my country also.I only read about the "hard reset" today on these forums, I plan to retrieve the phone from the technician tomorrow and try the hard reset but any information or ideas in the meantime would be greatly appreciated.
I believe the phone may have fell down atleast once (sibling may have dropped it and didnt tell me)
Sometimes when somebody called me while the key lock is active my toucscreen does not sense i can't do anything this situation happens in every 2 or 3 days.I tried v10 and v20 it happens on two firmware

Right now the touch screen is completely unresponsive and reseting taking out sim and memory cards have no affect. I think the problem could be fixed if i do a hard reset but the send and end buttons dont work.
View 5 Replies View Relatedthis browser is said to be good at Internet videos on the symbian phones. well i got my hands on it.... and was disappointed! yes, the actual Internet looks great, but it lags very much. it's like, i have to wait for about 30 seconds for the video to pause after i press the pause button. it seems the video area is almost non responsive and the video itself lags.is this normal or am i missing something?

But picture of video parts of messages aren't going through, only the text parts arrive. I can go to the phone settings and see the data being sent, and it is always the correct amount. But the multimedia bits don't get there. Yet I can send them to myself. The people I send to, can send and receive multimedia just fine to other people. Could someone on T-mobile post all their settings please?
View 7 Replies View RelatedNot long before receiving a notice about an update for my Nokia 5530 XpressMusic, the music player stopped functioning properly. If I try to play a song from "All songs", I get the message "File is corrupted, Operation cancelled."
If I try the same through Albums, Playlists, Genres or Composers, I get the same message.
If I try to access anything through Artists, I get the message "General: System Error"
Podcasts works just fine.
I can play music tracks if I browse my files on my memory card, and play from there.
I have tried using Nokia Software Updater and reinstalling the newest update, and reseting my phone to factory default.
What should I do?
I have this 5530 and just noticed some problems with the software.. i dont know i it is a problem or what..
Phonebook -
You can save a same number to a new or existing contact. With my old nokia phones, when you try to save a number that is already in your phonebook, it will prompt you if you would like to either continue or update the number... but with the phonebook for the 5530, it doesnt prompt the user.
Logs-
i chose to keep the logs for the last 30 days but when i open my logs, it only shows the logs for aroung past 10 days.. i tried waiting for few hours for the information to load up but still it cannot go farther than 10 days.
Real Player-
i transferred video files from my PC to my fone.. when i tried to play it on the phone, it says file not supported.. i checked the file format and it seems that the format is listed on the compatible formats for real player.
i already updated the software of my fone but still the same problem
I swapped out two LGV10's because of touchscreen issues before finding out that FB Messenger was the cause of malfunction.It would work ok for awhile after restarting the phone and then stop responding in the upper part of my screen again.Uninstalled the app.
View 15 Replies View RelatedSeems so far if the phone is locked i cant unlock it without having to pull the battery. Since lunch today i havent been able to get into my phone. Now if i get a call i can unlock it (After i missed the call )This all started today, which it has never done before.. i have tried the suggested found on the tmobile site for troubleshooting the HTC HD, but only works as long as i dont let the phone lock.Once its locked i have to wait for something to happen to unlock it, my buttons on the bottom work and turn on the phone. I have only had the phone for 1.5yrs maybe 2yrs. It running WM6.5 if that matters or helps suggest solutions.

for example,Genera-Settings-Network-Enable 3G : i can't swipe it from on to off .
same with wifi : i can't change it on or off.
another example is in Safari : on the google bar when i type something & then tap & hold, i see the 3 options " Select,Select all,Paste" ...i can't press any of these 3 options.

My Iphone 3GS touchscreen has been off and on working for about a week. Now it completely will not respond. I have reset the settings, restored factory settings, turned off wifi, powered it off, let the battery did, switch the vibrate switch on and off, but nothing has worked. I just bought a Nokia 5530 Xpress Music and tried out syncing my phone's files using Ovi Suite so I can easily retrieve them if ever they get deleted when I update my phone's firmware. When I synced my files, everything else worked fine except for the music files and these are the following problems I encountered: Ovi Suite did not only copy my phone's music files to my pc, it also copied all the music files of my pc to my phone at the same time. This shouldn't happen right? Because I'm only trying to sync my phone's files to my computer, and not transfer files from my computer to my phone so it should only copy all the songs in my 5530 to Ovi Suite.

My phone would not respond to the touchscreen when I try unlocking it, but it would respond once I slide the joypad, press power button once or twice etc. But after few days, this became worse and now even the Home button became unresponsive.The current situation is that I cannot unlock my phone as the touchscreen is not responding at all.
When this problem started, I had checked the running services to ensure whether there were any malicious programs taking up CPU usage. I could not find any.
I've been having this problem from the beggining and I really do not know what is the problem. I've tried different types of rom, i've removed the sim and sd card but nothing seems to solve the problem.After pressing the power button and the cpu gets out of deep sleep, touchscreen is not responding just volume buttons and power button. My iphone 2g fell out of my pocket last night while I was washing hands into the wash bowl and although I wiped it dry immediately, there was some issue after a while. I didn't realise it could cause some issues. But when I received a call, the touch screen didn't function at all and I was unable to answer the call.
After spending sleepless night yesterday to fix this issue, nothing seemed to work. I rebooted, restarted, restored to factory setting, many times, nothing is working. This is a 2g phone with 3.1.2 firmware, jail broken with blackrain. But I still receive the call and the iphone is not completely dead yet. I was able to restore it back. But the "Slide to Unlock" is not functioning, In other words the bottom part of the touchscreen is not responding. But the upper part of the touch screen works, where I can power off.
I almost gave up. Any one having any suggestions. This is very frustrating. I put the iphone in a rice bag, hoping it will take away the moisture, but that didn't work either. I also tried using the hair dryer to remove the mositure, but no success either.
I recently got a 9790 and it was working fine for about a month or so however recently I've noticed that the touch seems to stop responding. I have to do a physical battery pull and then it starts working again. I thought maybe it is a software issue and upgraded to the official 7.0.0.592 yesterday however the problem still remains the same.

The screenlock button at the top, doesn't do anything either. I have updated the software, and done a soft reset, (not the hard reset, as this warns of losing all programs), and it made no difference. I can still use the phone if i slide it open. Rang Sony who said take it back to Car Phone Warehouse, but CPW say it will be 2 weeks til i get it back. Does anyone know of anything i could do?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have had my Motorola Droid for about 3 months now, bought it new from an overstock dealer on ebay, sealed box and clean MEID.
The phone has been working PERFECTLY up until now, where now the touch screen suddenly does not respond at all. I can see the phone is working fine; the keyboard works, volume and power button works, I can see all the icons running, the time changes, everything. Taking out the battery never works. I did a hard reset and had the touch screen working a few times, but it's really hit or miss. It eventually reverts back to not working.
Again as I said, I have tried hard resets, safe mode, taking the battery out and letting it sit, took the SD card out, formatted the SD card, everything.
This all seems highly unusual, I have craddled this thing since i've gotten it to be sure I do not damage it. It is in pristine condition in every respect. I have no way to replace it since I am with an independent phone company.
lately i hve been noticing that the bottom part (a few millimeters above capacitive buttons) of my defy's touchscreen is not working like i can't close the notification panel using touch (hve to press back button) , select settings button in camera360, delete icon in quickpic etc..!
I even tested it using touch test app nd there also screen wasn't responding in the bottom part!!
way to correct this or would I have to take the phone for warranty??

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy new Bold 9900 has a bug that interferes with typing. It occurs in all applications (eg SMS messaging, typing in the web browser, email, logging on to an application, etc. The specific problem is:
1. when i press "p" it types as "xp" - eg "happy" comes out as "haxpxpy"
2. when i press "x" it types as "xp" - eg "hex" comes out as "hexp"
3. when i press "b" it types as "b" then "enter" - ie "big" comes "big"
4. pressing the "enter" key generates a "b" followed by and enter.
- I have the latest software on the device.
- I have performed the battery out while powered on reset.
- I can't call any blackberry tech support (is there a number or email address?)
- the problem came after my first day of use; it went away temporarily (for 1 day) after I reinstalled the asian character support applications on the device using the Desktop Software on my Mac. It then returned and I am living with it. Unable to text, email, type in passwords to websites...essentially, the phone is useless.
My iphone 4s keeps jumping and I cannot type properly on it at all. What should i do?
