My nokia 2690 is not connect with pc suit.when i connect the data cable to mobile in few sec mobile screen show a msg (NO RESPONDING HOST).I reconnet my cell to pc.The msg show same again.what can i do plz.

When i install pc suit and click on the box "click here to connect phone" a wizard starts it goes till third step when it asks to connect mobile via cable it searches then says shows an error problem with usb connection. I am unable even to use my mobile as mass storage.

Now i want update the Firmware on my Nokia 5800 Xpress Music, the Ovi Suit takes long to find the Firmware update on the Update Screen. Then i click the "Install" Button. Then it tooks some time to determine some infos from Phone. Then i see the next screen with the Infos that current V 31.0.101 is on the phone and V 40.0.005 is the new firmware that i want to install. After click "next" i agree with the Terms and click again "next". Now i make a Backup of my current Phone Settings and Data and after that i Click "install". Now i have display something like "prepare download" (on german version: "Herunterladen wird vorbereitet...") but nothing happens, no network traffic or similar no change also after 1h waiting. I tried with disabled Firewall and AV but no effect.
Has someone a idea what i coul'd do?
1. It takes forever to read the installed maps - even using USB cable. Why????
2. Once the installed maps are read from the phone, Ovi tells me that 'Updated maps are available'. Clicking on this message Ovi the pointer changes to a combined left-right arrow and stays there.
3. Now Ovi goes and reads the phone again, looking for installed maps - this time it takes LONGER, before I have the option to update my maps. This process of course takes forever too, but at least this is understandable - loading large files takes time.
4. I have the maps of the US; Canada; UK Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland installed. Which one(s) will be updated?
5. Also I am back from Europe, I no longer need the Irish maps. Why can't I selectively delete/de-install them? Why do I have to delete ALL maps and reload the US and Canada?
i have nokia 500 which is awesome smart phone, but here is problem with it, when i try to connect my cell phone with nokia suit to save my massages and other contents on my PC, it does not synchronize with the nokia suit, i want to know that if there is Hardware problem or software??

My router is locked down as tightly as it can be. For a device get a wireless connection both the device's MAC address and host name must be entered into the MAC filtering section of the router.
I can find the MAC address, but there is no indication of what the host name is.
It is currently impossible to sync contacts, calendar etc with Ovi. The phone shows the error message "invalid host adress". When I do a ping from my computer it shows "ping: cannot resolve sync.ovi.com/: Unknown host".It's petty that so many services in Ovi remain unpredictable.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've tested different pc's, removed my memory card, formated the memory card, resetted factory settings, tried multiple USB cables (yes, also Nokia ones!), removed drivers and software, tried older software (Nokia Suite), tried beta software (Nokia Suite).Still none of the above things fixed my problem. When I plug the USB cable I get a message says: "Wait..." So I wait and then "No response from host" appears on screen. My computer says notthing, not even a balloon that a new device is found. Even in de device manager notthing new is show. On my phone then I get a screen where I can choose from 3 options. Nokia Suite, Mediatransfer and Storage (translated the words from Dutch so not really sure how it's written in English version of the phone). It doesn't matter which option I choose, the computer will never detect the phone.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy N85. 2 weeks back, it got stuck and after switch off and switch on, it's not responding as soon as press keypad. atleast taking 1-2 mins and some time doesn't accept anything. after 2-3 restarts, it was ok. but from 3 days onwards, it's complytly addicted to this behaviour. once if it switch on, it's working fine. but once it get stcuk again or switched off, it's same old thing. i removed memory card, flashed freshly with new firmware and several hard/soft formats. nothing is preventing this behaviour.

I solve the problem only when I remove the battery. It has happened several times during last month. This week I have taken It to GSM service and they have put a new software , but that doesn't change anything. Do you have any idea if it has any hardware problem?
