Is it possible to rent & download a movie from google movies on my wifi-only xoom and then watch it later when offline? I assumed this was how it worked but found out the hard way shortly into a 9 hour drive that you have to be online to watch movies you've rented.
If you can't do this with google movies is there another option for the occasional movie watcher? I don't want a monthly subscription since we don't watch enough movies to make that worthwhile.
I rented my first movie from the android market today. I downloaded it to view offline. (I haven't had a chance to play the movie yet.) Have to charge up my phone. I was wondering were the file is stored. Neither the internal memory or SD card appear to have used up any space after the download. I know it downloaded, because my data counter widget indicates over 1.5 GB downloaded by the video app to view the movie. (I bought an extra SD card for the purpose of downloading movies so to not take up space.)
Ok Im done searching this forum for answers to this question. I am using my Xoom and the browser problems are going to make my head explode. I have a "movie app" shortcut but it says its not installed. Cant find it in The Marketplace. what gives?
We were told weeks ago that it would be and now with the update rolling out we still don't have confirmation. If its not included can you put it on the site for download so we can add it manually. Its on the WiFi Xoom and can't be region specific so
Why is this app is missing on my device? Wasn't it a flagship application and a major selling feature when XOOM was presented? What happened? Will it become available after the update?
I updated my Xoom WiFi to ICS, and now I can't play movies (crackle.com as example) or stream show from a site like aetv.com.
I can't do it from the xoom stock browser, OR the Dolphin HD browser as well. I get no streaming, and on some sites I get a 'blue lego' character that tells me I'm missing a plug in.
Then there are other sites that work i.e. NOAA weather loop works. [URL]
I put the Verizon FIOS On-demand movie app on my Xoom, but movies won't dl because of this error message, "Device does not support download of DRM-protected files.
So I downloaded a movie from the Google Play Store and I get sound but no video. Not sure if I need a flash player but I've tried to get one and basically no go...
you have converted a dvd to the xoom format and you go to the gallery on your xoom how do you get it to continuously play the movie without you having to go back and click on every slide
A new issue with the 3.2 update. I set the speaker volume to zero and pressed OK. Later I attempted to reset the volume to full on. Next I initiated an MP4 movie (using the latest Quicktime); the movie plays fine but with no sound. I stop the movie go back to the sound setting and it has reset itself to zero. The same result with an MP3 music file. Is this a software compatibility issue?
If I bought a Razr, and then got a movie from Verizon Fios would I be able to use a HDMI cable to connect to my Xoom and watch the movie. Please remember that the Xoom cannot directly download a movie from Fios because of the DRM security system.
I have iPhone 4S with iOS 7.1.2. It worked fine but a few days ago it suddenly started work strange. Let me explain.Â
The first problem is video. I can't watch either online or offline videos. When I try to watch a video it looks like a slideshow. It just shows one frame per 2-3 seconds. The strange thing that audio in video keep works fine.Â
The second problem is applications. They suddenly became crashing in various places and times where they didn't crash before. Instgram, YouTube, some games are crashing.Â
This is my first post here and i am here to discuss the topic i have in my mind. It has been long time while i am planning to buy this motorolla mobile. But there is a doubt in my mind would there any plugins need to install in my hand set to download movies or watch?Link removed by forums manager. I just bought the Xyboard from Verizon and I am missing the app Movie Studio. I am upgraded to Andrpod 3.2, and I can't find the app in the App drawer or under My Apps. Where can I get it?
I see that people say they use the MA as a watch. Perhaps it's a problem with my unit, but if I wear the MA as a watch, no Bluetooth, no music etc. I have it timed out at 15 secs (makes a boring watch) and the brightness guite low... it never lasts the whole day before I have to recharge it. Seems a bit pointless having a "watch" that runs out of power before the day is through. If you use the MA simply as a watch (ignoring the silly steps counter which can't be turned off!) how long do you get?
I was watching a few movies on Netflix, and randomly the movie would just pause. If I tapped the screen, it would indicate the movie was paused, and if I tap "play" it would start right up again...
I have searched several threads and have not found an answer. I apologize in advance if I missed it somewhere.I downloaded that app. Aldiko. I would love to read books on this app. Where can I find epub files to rent that I could use on this? I have tried my local library online but there aren't many choices. Is there a site that I could pay a one time fee and download epub files? I even downloaded Calibre but again, unable to find the books in the format that is needed.
Next question, where can I get movies to watch on my Droid? I tried downloading Handbrake and tried to transfer my DVD to my phone but getting an error message.
are there any good apps that work for the charm to watch movies or tv?? i know there is a Internet app but are there any other inexpensive ways to watch tv or movies?
I'm also having a problem with this device. I don't know if it's a battery problem or not and I think it started happening after the latest firmware update. I haven't been able to run to give it a try but just using it as an every day watch, it shuts off at random times and the only way to get it back up is to connect it to a power source. When I restart the device, it shows the battery at what ever level it was at before it shut down. I also notice that the date and time have been resetted.
With large movie files (greater than 500MB), there is audio distortion while playing during action sequences or loud volume dialog (does not occur with audio files or as far as I can tell smaller video files).
While trying to remove the Motoactv from the wrist strap the screen went to some sort of boot screen listing the version and something about plug in with usb cable. I am always careful not to push on the buttons when removing the unit from any of the mounts. It would not respond to anything I did. I even tried plugging it into the computer via usb. Nothing! Finally I just held down all the buttons until it turned off. When I powered it back up everything seemed to work correctly. How did this short happen and how do I get my watch out of the wrist strap?
I want to show videos that I play on my Maxx on a TV. I have a video cable that plugs into the 3.5mm slot on top of the phone. Is there anything I need to set up on the phone itself?
