Motorola Motocast :: Multiple Users On One Computer

My wife and I both recently purchased Droid RAZRs and work off of one family desktop with a shared media library under Windows 7. We want to be able to load two seperate instances of MotoCast under our own user logins so that we can access two different folder sets. I know that this is currenly not possible due to software limitations. I have noticed others with similar issues. Is this something that is being considered for a future update?
Also, I have noticed that since installing MotoCast on my desktop, iTunes will spontaniously open under my wife's login in Windows 7. I suspect that MotoCast is doing this in order to verify my media's DMR. Am I correct? If so, this is causeing issues because iTunes can only be used under one account at a time in Windows 7. If she locks her account and iTunes opens in her account, I cannot use iTunes while in my account. Is this being fixed? I don't understand why, while I am limited to one MotoCast login running on my machine, that MotoCast runs under both of our Windows 7 accounts?

Is it possible to have multiple PCs on the same phone? We have two computers and I would like to have access to both but didn't know if this was possible. I thought I would ask first before I tried setting up the second PC.

When I press and hold a song on my Razr Maxx and choose 'Download song', Motocast queues that song for download and up to 8 others from the same artist. Why is it downloading the extra songs?

I have multiple Droid razr's and want to connect them to the same PC. I set up the first device and now when i connect the second phone it does not recognize that the motocast software is already loaded. I also tried to use the same login info on the phone and got an error that it is an unauthorized device.

I first installed Motocast a few months ago but uninstalled it and it was working fine.
Now I'm trying to re-install it on my computer and all it's doing is going through the motions of repairing the file file. But I can't launch it.

I really like the idea of Motocast. I've installed it on my computer and have been able to see my files and music on my phone and also the Motocast web access. But today even though the computer is up and running the phone shows it as offline. Here's where it gets weird, if I use web acess from my PC I can see my files. After signing out if I log in using web access from my laptop or phone, it shows the PC offline.

Is there any way to have two different phones access the same computer using Motocast? Each phone has its own ID. I don't see anything that will allow more than one ID on the computer.

I recently got a new computer and trashed the old one. My phone says the old computer is offline...true. But the new computer name doesn't show up on my phone. Motocast web access says the new computer is working fine. How do I add the new computer to my phone ?

I am trying to figure out what the best setup is for the following:
Myself: Ipad, Iphone 4s & ipod, apple tv
Wife: iphone, ipod
I am trying to have all our photos, music, etc be available on the cloud so that we have access to each others music and photos but also trying to keep apps seperate on various devices. Just trying to figure out if I should have 1 or 2 apple id's and how to configure itunes to accomplish this.

Why do I have 3 drives associated with my x2 when I connect to my computer by USB?One has moto driver setup file that don't seem to run, and the other two appear to be my USB card and the phone memory, but the contents are almost identical. Yet the phone shows most memory free, while the USB card is almost full (I transferred my files to a 16 GB card and added music). Docs 2 go desktop sync in particular has issues and doesn't know which drive to enable, but I cannot disconnect only one drive

I have it set up on my PC where I have 3 folders shared. I have a Movies folder, I have a TV Shows folder, and I have a Mixsets folder. I like to listen to DJ mixsets that can be rather large, anywhere from 50MB to 150MB in size. I can access my movies/tv shows off my PC at home just fine when I'm on a wireless network. I just go into Gallery>MotoCast and there i have my TV shows in one folder and Movies in another folder. The folder I named Dj Mixsets does not show up in either Gallery or Music app.That's fine cause when I go to the Files app, I can see all three folders on my PC. From there, I can still access my TV Shows and Movies just fine. But when I try to listen to any of the mixsets, it says Cannot connect to network, please try again. This is weird cause the Droid shows my home PC as "Online". Is it because the music files are really large that it won't play? MotoCast can play larger size video files no problem.

Motocast app was preloaded on new razr. I manually loaded motocast software on desktop and laptop. Motocast working great for getting pictures to and from desktop & laptop. I called tech suppoirt for email problem and was told to update my device to the latest OS. I did this and after rebooting device, there was no motocast app/logo and no USB selection window. I now can not download pics and can only upload files from my desktop and laptop.

Droid Razr; using MotoCast Wireless. XP computer is on all the time, no trouble connecting. Music, photos and documents all present and available all the time.But my iTunes playlists are not. Major bummer. MotoCast playback quality is far superior to G-music, but I really need my playlists!Itunes data folders are all in the normal places. The MotoCast docs clearly say that iTunes playlists are usable and in one place says expressly, "Note: Currently MotoCast Wireless supports playlists from iTunes only."

After updating to ics motocast wants to install on my pc and does not give me an option to say no and not have it show again, like the vista start screen. I decided to install motocast and just ignore it but when I rebooted it started my browser with a video for backup assistant after looking thru msconfig and regedit I believe this program to be malware like microsoft security 2012 or many other softwares that use extortion to sell their product. I am not questioning the validity of the backup software but rather the way it like motocast doesn't give me an option. When I called Verizon they said it was a Motorola problem so can someone please tell me how to get this MALWARE from loading! I did get the browser to stop loading after removing all of motocast via add/remove.

A family member has a new Motorola Droid Razr, and we are trying to get MotoCast USB to work. We have installed the software on the computer (a Macbook Pro) and skipped the wireless setup (because we are only interested in USB syncing at this time). But when we connect the phone, all we get is a message, "Please wait while MotoCast USB loads your content."

After going through apple's incipid re-registration process, here's my question.I've got multiple computers I use (work, home, road).I want to be able to do things like pull off my voice memos,in particular, w/o having to delete my music from MY iPhone.I don't seem to be able to do. All I want is the ability to control MY stuff and all I can see is you're trying to get me to do something that is 1; something I don't want to do 2; deterimental to my experience. Is there a way to just pull off voice memos from my phone w/o having to sync (delete) my music when I'm not on my "home" computer?

My wife and I have iPhones, and we also have an iPad. She synced her phone with my desktop for the first time, why i have no idea, but she did. The next day, I synced my iphone with the desktop to put some new music on. When it was done, I had all her apps on my phone. Is there anyway to get the computer to recognize different iPhones and iPads on the same iTunes account and not do that? Had the problem with my iPad too. Got all my phone apps on it and had to do some deleting!

I know there is a lot of anger over on the UK forum about why Motorola can't provide even a date for upgrading to 3.1, so I thought I'd share my experience of working round the issue on a UK WiFi only Xoom. What I did was download the stock 3.0 US firmware from the motorola developers site, unlocked my xoom, and installed it. Instructions are provided on the site along with the firmware here; url...When you install, it will wipe your device. You will loose all data. Back it up before you do anything.After install, you will have a vanilla 3.0 US Xoom. The difference being a couple of extra games, but no UK dictionary. This isn't the 3.1 that you are waiting for though. You need to then go to system updates and the tablet will then tell you that there is a new version of the firmware. Let it download and install that, you you will have a 3.1 device.Other than the missing UK dictionary, the only other problem is the iPlayer web site. After a month and a half, the BBC had finally updated the iPlayer web site to recognize Honeycomb as a valid mobile device, but with Honeycomb 3.1 it is back to saying that this mobile device can't use iPlayer. Muppets. You can work round that by putting the browser in to debug mode and setting it to be a desktop device.
Unlocking also voids your warranty, although my personal belief is that a hardware defect would still be covered under UK consumer law if you can show that unlocking and installing Motorola firmware is a reasonable thing to expect to do - in the same way that a washing machine manufacturer can't say that your waranty is void if you use washing powder in your machine. I'm not a lawyer though, so make up your own mind on that one.

I have been a Dolphin user for many months on all my Android devices with no issue. As soon as I click the link , Dolphin will open up and I am ready to start typing or what ever. Since the last few updates when I click the Dolphin browser it will lag and if I click anywhere the pop up wants me to click close or wait. I wait and then it is like the browser I remember. It does this every time and when I close the browser I always erase the history.I have alot of favorites and I sync them to all my Dolphin browsers and I would hate to change to other browsers..
