Motorola Droid Bionic :: Contact Pictures Keep Disappearing
Oct 8, 2011I keep going into the gallery and selecting contact pictures and saving them, they show up for awhile and then disappear.

Motorola Droid Bionic :: Disappearing Quick Contact Pictures?
Mar 5, 2012Is there a permanent fix that anyone is aware of for disappearing quick contact pics every time you shut off and restart your phone? I can delete the widget and set-up a new one and it fixes the issue but only until the next time I shut the phone down.

When I'm in my contacts and "edit" them to place a picture I have in my gallery, there's no option for selecting the exact face or spot you want before finalizing the perfect fit for the contact you just edited. My Droid X does this and it is a nice feature. Am I mising this somewhere on the Bionic?

Sep 23, 2011I just got my bionic yesterday and I have downloaded the Facebook for Android app but my facebook contact pictures have not synced with my contacts at all. I had an OG Droid and I loved the fact that everyone's pictures were just brought in. I have signed into the same account on Motorola's Facebook app as well as the Facebook for Android.

Oct 21, 2011Moved a number of apps to the Media Area, nothing seemed to change in where things where things were stored. The only thing that happens is that my apps keep disappearing. Have since moved apps back after several times of reloading.

Sep 15, 2011None of the contact icons for my corporate contacts sync to my Bionic. All of my contacts in Microsoft Exchange have contact icons associated with them, and on my HTC Thunderbolt the icons synced without an issue. On my Bionic none of the icons are syncing, so all of my corporate contacts are without icons. Why are corporate contact icons not syncing, and how can I get them to sync?

Sep 19, 2011Is there a way to mass selectively delete pictures from within the Bionic? I have a lot of pictures transfered over and I'd like to selectively delete them but I can only figure out how to do it one at a time from within the Bionic. I guess I could hook it up to the computer and selectively delete that way, but when away from the computer, is there another way?

Sep 15, 2011It doesnt group any of my pictures into files even though they are saved that way on my SD card. They are all grouped under All pictures. I also have a problem with the gallery just duplicating pictures randomly. I have only took 6 pictures since i got the phone and it shows i have 437 all most of them are all the same picture. Does anyone else have this same problem? I have tried using the .nomedia trick but that doesnt even work either so i need some help or i will have to return the phone this weekend.

Jan 13, 2012My Bionic is connected to my Exchange Server @ my Firm. My Firm requires Device/Storage Encryption, which the Bionic supports just fine. Now that our phones/SD cards are encrypted when the phone is connected to a PC and the SD card mounted the pics are no longer readable because they are encrypted. Windows is unable to read them, if I email that pic from my phone to my gmail I can open it just fine. If I try to open it direct from the SD its a NO GO. I already ruled out that its my PC I tried 5 other including my personal PC at home...NO GO! So how to I access the pictures direct off the SD?

Also, with some of my contacts it lists their Twitter name as their name, even if I type in a new name. Is there some way to set a default name? When I'm searching for someone to call/text, I don't normally think of them by their Twitter name, so it can make some people difficult to find. Other people come up by the names I set them to. Not sure what I did differently there.

I think the problem has something to do with Verizon Backup Assistant +. If I go in manually for the contact and put the contact photo in, then I can see them in Handcent SMS. I have many contacts, and I really don't want to do this manually.

I have been using Zumocast, but that's only a one way deal. You can stream and download files from PC onto the Bionic, but not vice versa.Also, I tried to download a 1.4 gig mp4 file but it doesn't fully download, and makes my notification area on my Bionic force close and the whole phone just wigs out and requires a reboot. So Zumocast needs to do some updates in order to support large file transfer.
Anyway, I am looking for a way to transfer files from my phone to my computer(s) wirelessly. I don't always have my USB cable around.

Nov 17, 2011Im having the same issue as a lot of other people (so i read). Mine has progressively gotten worse. My data connection shows active (sometimes it doesnt) but I cannot transfer data. After multiple restarts/battery pulls, i have data connection but NO app will transfer data except the web browser and dolphin. Even Gmail will not sync. So i can surf the web, but cant check my gmail app, pageonce, etc, etc. Wifi/bluetooth work fine. MOST of the time I can still text / make calls but not always.
I am hesitant to do a factory reset as the last time i did this, it did not change the problem and i was stuck with nothing because i had no data connection to connect to my google account with (nor wifi, i was on vacation).

However, I can't find a way to do this on the Bionic. There's no option in accounts > Gmail. I HATE having the emails strung together like they were text messages. One of the major issues is losing attachments (ex: photos) in earlier emails once additional ones have been added to the "thread."

Oct 2, 2011Have experienced this with a couple of applications (Freecaddie Pro and My Tracks) the program is suppose to store to SD card and it saves to internal memory. Spoke to the developer of Freecaddie and he checked and it is suppose to save courses to SD but Bionic saves to Internal Memory. With My Tracks even when I pick "Save to SD card" is saves it to Internal Memory. What is up with that and is there a way to correct it?I know my SD card is working because I have moved pics and music to it without a problem.
