I just bought a new Lumia 950 XL two days ago, and I'm having this weird issue. When someone calls me or whenever I call someone, I can't hear what he's saying, while they can hear what I say. And it's not just me. My friend is having the same issue on his Lumia 950 XL.
View 5 RepliesI have an iPhone 4 and over the last few days I can't hear anyone when they call me or when I call them, however they can hear me. I have been using skype to call people on the phone via 3g and that works fine. It started as crackling and static on the line initally but now there is no sound at all. I've tried cleaing out the charger port and headphones jack, checked all volumes, restarted the phone and changed sim card but still to no avail.

l recently changed my sim forva giffgaff one and everything works fine except when i call people i cant hear them and i cant hear the ringing sound at the start of the call. i can hear them if iput my phone onto speaker phone but this isnt very practical.

I really love this phone, I got it like 3 months ago. Everything was fine, but since today I can't hear the persons calling from my main speaker ( the one on top of the Nokia logo ) while they can hear me. the big speaker works but then the mic doesn't !My phone didn't fall or anything... I tried the instructions on Nokia.com , I used the Nokia software recovery tool they recommend, but still nothing.Now I can only speak with the head set and it's not comfortable.the phone runs the latest update ( maybe the problem comes from an update that came during the night, since its automatic) . And I think this is software related, but you are the experts .

One of the reasons why I bought the ACTV was to have the ability to receive calls through the motoactv. I noticed yesturday that i can receive phone calls through my motoactv using the bluetooth connection and also using the regular red headphones that come with the device. all seems well till i receive a call.I can receive calls, the mike feature works so the other person can hear me. For some reason, since yesterday, my phone has had sound problems. With earphones in, I can hear calls and music ok, and same with loudspeaker, but without earphones in or loudspeaker on, I can't hear music or the other person who is calling. Also, the person who I've rang/has called me can't hear me either. Ringtones and text tones work perfectly normal.

I have tested this by calling myself. I cant really tell if the "speaker mode" works or not. Its kind of confusing calling yourself. Recent applications that I added were Pedometer, iBlacklist, Tethering. All kind of other sound are working just fine. If any, where are the microphone settings located? No I did not drop it or step on the IPhone, I don't do that kind stuff.

I can't hear the caller when I am using my handset... but when i put it in speaker fone, I can hear them perfectly.
