I recently acquired an iPhone but I am unable to sync it with my Mac. My Mac is on the 10.4.11 OS X system and it cannot support the newest version of iTunes, which the iPhone apparently only works on. how I can sync my phone?

Need some help on this one. Every time I attempt to sync my iPhone, it starts with, in the bar at the top, with Backing Up *Name*'s iPhone, then Syncing Contacts, Syncing Applications, then switches to a generic "Syncing *Name*'s iPhone" message- then it simply stops as if it had been cancelled.
I've tried this several times, to no avail. Any changes I make to Applications or Contacts ARE changed, but it never changes Music, Ringtones, Videos, etc etc.
I can manage my apps in iTunes 9.2 just fine when connected to the iphone 4,however when I tell it to sync it just goes thru the motions and erases all the apps and takes them off the phone. So no matter what I do I can not load any non-native app onto the phone. I set up the phone as a restore. Should I try setting it up as a new phone, then a restore?

i have been trying to sync my ringtones to my iphone 3gs. i bought them on my 3gs from itunes quite abit ago and when i updated my software they obviously was taken off. and they are on itunes, they show up in the tones part but when i click on sync button on my iphone they dont sync...they say they have but when i go on my phone they are NOT there!

I recently got a macbook pro and I was just wondering how to sync my iPhone 4 to my new mac without losing all of my contacts, pictures, etc. I have set up icloud and home sharing and all of my contacts and pictures from my phone are saved on my macbook through that, I just want some reassurance that if I plug it in I shouldn't loose that stuff before I actually tried it.

I recently transfered my entire itunes library from my old desktop to my new laptop. Nothing has changed, still the same amount of songs and apps. I have authorised this laptop etc. I have only since added 2 albums. When i link my iphone now, it states that sync cannot be completed as it cannot hold the itunes library and an additional 13gb is needed? according to my diagram it also states i have still 6gb left? surely it should sync if only 2 albums have been added?

My operating system crashed last 2 weeks. That was the OS my iphone syncing with itunes. I recovered my music and videos from it and then when I reformat my laptop I put my songs and videos on the same directory as my old laptop's music and video directory. today I plugged my iPhone to my newly reformatted laptop to delete all the music but when I went to the "iPhone name" > "music". due to reason that I can't delete or even add a new music into my iphone I check the "Sync Music" checkbox and asked me "Are you sure you want to sync music? all existing songs and playlists on the ''iPhone name' will be replaced with songs and playlist from your iTunes library". So I clicked the "Sync Music" and hit the "apply" button on the lower right part of iTunes. After clicking the button I received another confirmation shown below...
If click the "Erase and Sync", what kinds of contents iTunes will erase? I'm afraid it might also erase my apps. or even my contacts.

I've just got a new iPhone 4S and want to sync from the backp I made of my 3GS. However, my old phone is still active as my network provider hasnt yet transferred my phone number to my new simcard. I was wondering if I would be able to sync the new phone using the backup and still be able to use my old phone? Is it possible to have 2 running at once? Also, when the new phone does get activated, will everything work as normal?
I'd like to do it as soon as possible so that when the switchover does happen I can start using the new phone straight away. I use my phone a lot for work so its important it happens as smoothly as possible.

I just don't understand how Apple handles audiobooks. I have a variety of books which have been either ripped from CDs or downloaded from Audible. The ripped books are in my library by following the steps below:
1. Insert disk; join tracks; hit import
2. When the whole book is on the hard drive, select all files; get info; change media type to audiobook
3. Create smart playlist with two criteria - 1) album name; 2) plays=0
When I plug in my phone, under the book tab, the playlist/book will appear in either "Audiobooks" or "Include Audiobooks from Playlists." Sometimes this will be in one; sometimes the other; sometimes both. Can't figure out a pattern.
When I synch my phone, my books often, but not always, show up under the Audiobook icon. Sometimes they show up under "Playlist" and then under "books."
how to make this more dependable? why itunes separates the two locations for audiobooks?

Whenever I sync my iPhone to iTunes, it keeps copying over the same 104 songs to my iPhone. Day after day, it copies the same 104 songs again, as if they were missing or deleted. These songs are there and can be played from the phone. This is a 64 gig iPhone 4 and a unibody MBP 15" purchased in mid 2011. I lost many of my apps (330 apps and 32 folders), Why its so complicated for Apple to open more than 11 Pages on iOS 5.1?
When restoring iPhone to factory defaults, the same thing will occur...
So when you open Settings General Usage (after a while you see installed APPs) you notice that these apps either deleted (because of syncing), or got hidden(icons disappeared)
Is it so difficult for Apple to that? Or is it Apple's Policy not to do so?
What will go wrong if I open more than 11 pages for my APPs ? In my Samsung Galaxy I did opened more than 30 Pages ! Why using the bluetooth is complicated? Why it is not compatible with Non-Apple bluetooth products ??
