Is there a way to send SMS text in the iPhone, would buy an app that does this, to a group without disclosing the recipients? Would like to be able to setup a group but not have every person see the complete list of recipients of the text. That way the replies would only come back to me.

For whatever reason, whenever I receive a group message with more than 10 people included (Happens Daily) I cannot respond? Is this a limitation of Android / Nexus 5 / or T-Mobile?

When I receive a multimedia group text, the texts only show the originators number and not the other Group numbers.
This phone is a SAMSUNG GALAXY 6, using Android 5.0.2
Other suggested truning on Group Conversation or Group Messaging in the settings , but that option does not appear.
The instructions I received are below , but like I said, it did not show up on the settings. Is there a difference in the Android versions that would cause the menu to be different or the setting to located somewhere else?
1.) Go to main screen
2.) Go to messages
3.) tap MORE AT TOP RIGHT OF SCREEN
4.) SELECT Settings
5.) SELECT MORE SETTINGS
6.) SELECT MULTIMEDIA MESSAGES
7.) TURN GROUP CONVERSATION ON
How do I set up a group of people from my contact list so I can continue to send texts to this same group of people without having to re-enter names each time. I am looking to send out available shifts to staff members as a group (not all people have smart phones) The Group has 30+ phone numbers. I have tried different apps however not everyone receives the messages.

I've got a Curve 9360, running 7.1 with T-Mobile service. Whenever I receive a text message that's been sent to multiple recipients, I can't see anyone else on the recipient list, so unless I can figure it out from the message, I have no idea it's been sent to more than just me.
No problems originating and sending a text to multiple people, though, it's just when I receive texts. Additionally, if I respond to a multiple-recipient text, I'm pretty sure it's only going to the sender. Very frustrating, especially since with my old Curve 8320, I had no problems knowing when I was on a mass text, and could reply to all if I wanted. No such luck here.
How do I create a group then text that group?
View 3 Replies View RelatedPlease help-I have the Bold 9700 TMOBILE When I go to compose sms text I can add multiple people, but if you go to a contact and hit compose sms you can't hit menu and add any more people, but on my old curve when you hit menu you could add recipients? Is there a way to fix that it's bothersome, and also sometimes with the sms on a particular person it won't reply to them you just hit the button and it does nothing, but if you clear the chat, and start over it works? Please help thanks. I have the newest version and software as well thanks.

View 2 Replies View Relatedmy biggest complaint about Gingerbread reared it's ugly head this past weekend. The lack of "+" symbol in the "to" field of the stock text messaging app.
I wanted to text all of the people in my contacts list who are fathers, to wish them a happy father's day. Unfortunately, to address a text message to multiple recipients, I must remember every one of them, and type in their "letter" individually. I have to type in a letter, then pick one contact, then type in another letter, then pick another contact, then type in another, then pick...I'm sure you can see where this is going. And of course, once I thought I had gotten everybody and pressed "send", I then went into my contacts list and realized that I had forgotten several people, and had to do it all over again. Something that should have taken less than a minute instead took several minutes, and I'm sure I still likely forgot someone!!!
Just who's brilliant idea was it to remove the "+" symbol (that would open up the entire contact list for easy multiple picks) and replace it with the stupid "suggestion" arrow! They should be fired and shot...not necessarily in that order!
I Work in a hospital setting and often need to communicate with emergency personnel, the group consists of approx 40-50 people. I would like to assign all these contacts into an immediately accessible text group. I know about enabling groups under the settings tab, but selecting individuals each time is cumbersome and defeats the STAT nature of the messaging.

I can see and mark all contacts on my contact list while in "To" when creating a new text message. However the "Ok" button is missing on the left lower corner of the screen while "Back", on the right, is active. I can type in recipients, though this is tedious when I need to select multiple recipients. Further probing brought up another problem - I can see all my contacts on my phone but cannot find the contact folder nor can I backup my contacts.

View 2 Replies View RelatedCrossed over from an iphone 4s to an Lg G4 7 days ago. Love the phone but trying to group text between me and my iphone buddies is proving very difficult. I cant see their original responses in the group, instead only see individual responses. Initiating a group text results in only my buddies seeing only my response and no one else.
I've deregistered my phone number from apples website a couple days ago and even days earlier turned off imessaging on my old device but still get the same results. I downloaded and installed textra made it my default messaging app, turned on the group mms option still same thing. I've even told my friends to delete my contact information on their phones and wait for a group text from me; same result. What more can i do? I dont think telling them to turn off imessaging on their end is fair because all their text messages to other iphones will be sent not using imessage. What more can i do?
Could it be possible that the way my contacts are setup is screwing up my group messaging? Or is this strictly an ios glitch on apples side? How do you all go about setting up group texts and can you name a group text? My group name is always "3" standing for the 3 other recipients that i send the message to. Is there no way to rename this?

How do you reply to just the original sender of a text message that was sent to a group? I think it is crazy that all recipients need to see yes or no answers & sometimes pay for all the additional texts. Likewise, I hate that you have to send a separate text back to the sender. There should be an easy fix, like reply or reply all. Does anything like this exist? Iphone 4S, iOS 5.1.
