IPhone :: 3GS Dirt/stone Stuck Inside Headphone Jack?
May 5, 2012There's something stuck inside the 'clicky bit' at the bottom of my headphone jack, stopping the 3.5mm plug from clicking fully down into the phone, making the connection to the earbuds very delicate and making it impossible for me to listen to music properly without holding the phone still in my hand, one of my friends (''phone repair expert'') says its stuck inside a mechanism, and that it would require replacing the whole unit, including the silent switch (My silent switch is also broken but not a major concern)The phone was purchased on contract december 2010 so is of warranty, and is also jailbroken on 5.0.1 (I LIKE it that way, @oldwomanwhingers) so I expect the hardware warranty doesn't apply here, so any chance I could be given a vague estimate on what Apple would charge me for this repair?

Jan 22, 2012I'd purchased a Motorola Xoom FE in BestBuy last november but it comes with a little black spot. At first I'd tried to clean it wiping the surface with a smooth cloth but then I'd realized that the dirt is located under the glass. I mean: between the glass and the surface of the LCD screen. It's not a big spot but it surely could be a little annoying, once that my eyes can't avoid to notice it.

Using 022.007 today and I would recommend this phone to a friend.I have had a few known problems:pictures missing form the gallerythe D-pad fails intermittentlyNo indication when the charge is donebattery cover is a joke. Bad fit and to thin but overall the phone has worked very well.
But now I have another problem that is more annoying.It looks like there is dirt/dust *under* the screen - I have checked the screen and there are no marks on the screen surface. I have used the case that comes with the phone
from day one but that has not helped. How many here has seen this ? or am I the only one.I can see the dust/dirt clearly when the screen saver is running, it is very annoying.

Jun 22, 2015I use Hangouts on my Moto 2014. Every time I get a text message I get a white notification bar with the name of the person who texted me and their text message. To read or reply to the text I have to touch the Hangouts icon because single or double taping the white notification does nothing and I cannot swipe to remove it. I only get this notification when the phone is on but not in screen lock mode. How do I stop this white notification bar from popping up?

I mean they both have advantages...white shows less fingerprints and appears more "clean", but black makes video look better on the screen and is more sleek, and also probably won't show as much dirt.

I have my brighness all the way up like his and all setting are similar. You can cleary tell that ts a yellowish white, not clear white.

May 30, 20123 days ago i was using my phone like normal when i got a white sceen, ive tried pulling the battery but it just goes straight back to the white screen. Does anybody have any idea on how to fix this? Bear in mind i cant connect to Blackberry Software Desktop because for some reason it wont recognise my device, i want to state the phone hasnt been dropped and hasnt been near any water, it just randonly went white.

Aug 6, 2012My Blackberry 8520 curve suddenly hangs giving a white screen and when i restart it - the screen remains white. After i put it into charge - then only a successful start is done. So the only solution as of now i have - is whenever my blackberry hangs - i need to remove the battery - insert it again - and immediately put it into charging via USB/Electric-Power. Even if i re-insert the battery - the white screen comes - unless and until i put it into charging Earlier i was guessing - my battery was weak.

But for the past 5 days it keeps turning itself off when im trying to delete an image, helf way through a book, texting friends and even taking pictures.It just turns itself off and comes up with a loading symbol and it even has 50% battery or more everytime. i never can turn it back on for at least and hour.. Ive done a reset to normal settings using my itunes but it still turns off..or should i just phone up orange (network provider) and get them to send me another one ?

Apr 25, 2012Why does my 3GS have a white screen sometimes, and I have to lock the screen for it to go back to lock screen? Sometimes I have to attempt the lock screen several times, and it still doesn't work. I, then, attempt to restart it by powering it down, and the lock screen will appear again. The display goes out sometimes while I am on a call, and I can't hang up. I have to go through this hole process over and over again.

Apr 25, 2012My iphone 3 gs screen has gone white.It was doing it periodically for a couple of days, but I could get it back to normal by pressing the sleep button, then the home button.Then last night it went white and none of the normal remedies worked.I have tried the hard reset also and tried syncing with itunes but that doesn't work either. The phone will still ring etc.the voice activation works.

May 16, 2010I had my IPhone in my shirt pocket. Took it out and all that shows up is a white screen. I can still answer calls if I slide my finger across the screen in the correct area, but I can not see anything but white. I am going to try the restore and forced restore but don't think it will work according to the Apple support guy.
