I have the Iphone 3gs and my downloaded the official firmware 3.1.3 non jailbroken and when I try to run the Todo app my push notifications do not work at all. This sux as I depend on it alot, are there any fixes for this? Will the genuis bar help?

View 6 Replies View RelatedIn order for push notification to work, i understand there needs to be an active internet connection either through wifi or carrier.
BUT, if lets say, there is no wifi and the carrier signal is out of range temporarily for whatever reason. bad coverage, reboot/phone off, etc, will the push notifications be completely missed or will you receive them after the fact the way you would an SMS?
Does anyone have any problem getting push notification after jailbreaking iphone 4?? seems like push is not working for my foto messenger and whatsapp.
Tried to install push doctor (as i did with my 3G) in Cydia but it keeps on getting an error and installation could not be completed.
Further, the badges on the foto messenger icon (# of new msgs) would not reset, eg. it stays at the last number of msg received.
as in thread, what should be better? I want to have as fast as possible notification about email received and also don't want to run both fetch & push, because I want to let my battery last longer.

"dont allow" the push notification. And when i go to viber CONTACTS (to add my phone contacts)
 Viber tell me this procedure "go to SETTINGS>PRIVACY>CONTACTS"

Suddenly, I stopped receiving any push notifications from mail. I tried reset, deleting and adding account, toggle through all notifiction options, restarting the phone. I also have problem receiving notifications from facebook. rest of all app notification works fine.

I've been getting fake notifications like crazy. for example, I'll get a pop-up notification that so-so (someone I don't have as a friend) sent you a message when I click on view and the app takes me to my facebook page theirs no message. Actually whenever I get one of these the badge on the facebook icon does not update. I just get the pop-up and that will also show on my lockscreen info.

So, after a few minutes (10-20 mins) when someone sends me a message on whatsapp or bbm or Facebook messenger etc... the phone doesn't receive the message until i enter the app (whatsapp, bbm, fbmessenger etc).
I don't know what to do. I don'w know if this is a problem after I made an update last week or smth.
I just updated to 3.1.2 from 3.0. Jailbroke with Blackra1n and bootneutered.
I now get a error when launching the following apps:
Facebook
Ebay app
YouMail (my provider makes me use this for voicemail)
These are the only two apps that I know of that use push. The picture below is of the Facebook error. The ebay error is the same thing.
Has anyone had issues with the gmail push today using google sync? My phone keeps asking for my password and I put it in but tells me it is invalid. Now if I use my other gmail account (regular one through the iphone mail) I can get my mail perfectly fine. I tried deleting the account and making a new one but it gives me the same error. Any help would be great.

I have been using the phone off and on during this time, in fact about 10 mins in the App store for 10 mins prior surfing around.
Have it setup to my yahoo account, but it only refreshes when I actively open my mail. What am I missing here?

I'm gonna try to be clear with my problem. I have a Gmail Account working on Microsoft Exchange, for IM messaging I'm using Beejive IM with Push and I'm also using Whatsapp. Before Updating it to iOS 5.1.1 all Push notifications were working flawless,however, after I upgraded it to 5.1.1, I began having troubles. After 1 minute of having the Iphone locked,I don't get any push notification
nor on the email, nor on the Whatsapp, neither on the Beejive. If I unlock it and I re-open one of them, for ex, I go to check my contact list on Beejive, I get all the mails, and all the instant msgs that people had sent to me after I locked my iPhone; it's like, my iPhone was locked for 30 minutes. In those 30 minutes people sent me 4 msgs on whatsapp, 4 msgs on beejive and 4 mails. Once I unlock my iPhone and I go to one of the 3 apps (mail, whatsapp or beejive), I get the 12 items (4 msg from whatsapp, 4 msgs from beejive and 4 mails) at that exactly time. It's crazy, it's like, with this new update push notifications got disabled for every app or what happened to my iPhone on this upgrade? I really need help. WIthout Push, none of them apps works cool for me. I'm using Iphone 4 on a 3G network.
Ps: I tried restoring it x3, I unistalled the apps, mail, etc and nothing worked.PS2: If someone is using whatsapp or beejive im with push on the new iOS 5.1.1 and push notifications are working good for them,it so I will know it's my iPhone hardware problem to bring it to technical

Someone told me earlier that if I used redsn0w then push would work no problem but it seems like it is not working. Is there a push fix for 4.0 yet? I heard there is push doctor. Dunno if that will work.
