Jun 14, 2012I know that mail alerts can be manually turned off in the notification center, but I don't want to have to manually do this everytime I play music. If I have emails come in while the music is playing, it lowers the sound of hte music and plays the alert notice. I would like this alert to be automatically disabled while playing music.

Jun 3, 2014My iCloud email pushes mail to my iPhone and my iMac. But, when I delete an email from my iMac, my badge does not update on the Mail icon on my iPhone, unless I acually open mail on the iPhone. The iPhone acts like the Push function only works for receiving emails and not for deleting them from the iMac.Â
I have deleted my iCloud account on my iPhone and then reinstalled it, and that did not fix it. What can I do to fix the Push issue that I am having?Â
PSÂ I am using the latest Mail and Mavericks on my iMac and the latest iOS on my iPhone.

May 19, 2010I finally updated my E72-1 to 031.023. On the earlier version, I could not use my Mail for Exchange with my work e-mail (i.e. work server etc). it just didn't do anything after setup. In previous posts, people said after the update, it should work fine well, it doesn't. Its the same problem: After setup (with my IT guy) the MfE just doesn't load any messages. It just keeps on saying "No Messages". I have tried everything. So I have three questions:
1) When setting up the MfE, is there anything else I need to do i.e. register my work e-mail somewhere (which I did I think) or something?
2) The acces point Background: when set to "internet" it just doesn't work. It always says "Packet data not available" or "Connection not Available". The 'Internet' acces point "points" to the correct packet data set. When using the packet data set "manually", internet connects and works. Why is this so? Why can't I use my "internet" access point for connecting to the internet?
3)My third question is: For MfE, the access point is set to Internet. Could this be a problem? The only options I have is Internet, WAP services and Intranet. None of them "work".

May 31, 2012My iphone mail app regularly requires restart to get mail flowing. That is it is running (doesn't crash) but will at time just stop getting email updates. I then have to force close the mail app (i.e. kill it) and then restart it. After restarting it the mail flows again.
Notes:
a) I do connect to Gmail for my mail - I'm using the IMAP facility for gmail currently (i.e. not the "Exchange" method)
b) I do also have the Google "Gmail" app running on my device too
c) on iPhone 3GS, latest version of IOS

May 2, 2012When I'm out and about, I pick up my mail on my iPad and/or on my iPhone. I HATE having to sift through the duplicates. I know I can delete the emails from the server as they are being downloaded, and that would solve the problem between the iDevices. But I still want a copy of them downloaded into Outlook on my desktop for future reference, so deleting them from the server before Outlook gets ahold of them does not seem like a good idea.I currently have a POP3 account, but I could move onto an Exchange Server or into iCloud or something else if that would solve the problem.

Jun 7, 2010This is really bothering me.I have a yahoo mail account set up on my phone - It has been on there for over a year - it has always worked this way - If I get an email (the phone goes "bing") and i read it on the computer - and responded and delete it on the computer it would be removed from the phone the next time i looked. Recently I began noticing that the message is not being delated from the phone if I delete it from the mailbox, and I can't figure out why.
Basically I want to be able to read the message on the computer and hit delete and for it do the same thing on my blackberry and vise versa. Now it seems to work if I delete the message on the BB then it will not be in the Mailbox on the computer.
