I wonder if you guys are having the same problems? but my Imessage is unable to verify my numbers. i have already checked on my apple id and tried the solutions that was given by apple support communities and i still cant verify on my phone numbers. The problem start when i switch off my imessage and turn it on again. i need to send my imessage via phone numbers not emails.

I don't think I have activated iMessage on either my phone (4s) or my iPad (2). I can't seem to get it activated. On the iPad, when I open "Messages," it brings me to a screen that asks me to sign in with my Apple ID to activate iMessage. When I sign in, the next screen asks me what email I want to use, and then shows my mac email address. Then, when I press "Next" it pops the message "iMessage Activation. Unable to verify email because it is already in Use." On the iPhone, under settings, iMessage is on. Under "Receive at" it has my correct phone number. But, I don't pay for a messaging service with AT & T since I don't receive many messages. When I do, it looks like I'm being billed for those to and from another iPhone. So am I really using iMessage on my Iphone? When I click on "Use your Apple ID for iMessage" I get taken through the same routine as on my iPad and end with a message "Unable to verify."

I'm currently out of the country and have data services turned off. Had to redo settings. iMessage for phone number is now unverified and "waiting to be activated". It works with my email, but not my phone number, which is what most people have. Is there a way to verify phone number when the phone data is turned off? Or can I only receive via my email address until I am back in the US

Proud user of apple devices for around 5 years, last week my iPhone 5s was not able to deliver an iMessage to an iPhone 5c, so it went as regular SMS text; and when I got a reply, it arrived from the iCloud id. Then, the exact same thing happened on Saturday with another friend using an iPhone 4 (no 4s).
Researching on internet, I read something that people have problem to activate the iMessage from their number and it appears grayed out in the settings, so they cannot select it.... I am able to send iMessages to other iPhones, but I still looked in my settings and my number is grayed out and I CANNOT deselect it (the opposite of what I read), so I still went through the solution proposed where I reset the network settings on my iPhone to factory. I not only lost all the passwords to the WiFi I had, but it didn't solve the issue.
I can not send iMessages to two contacts using their numbers. Additionally, the message history now is split in two in my device -which doesn't make sense as the number and iCloud id belong to the same person; doesn't it make sense that the history merge onto one contact name? It sure displays the name, not the id (phone number or iCloud address).
I assume this is a big flaw of iOS 8.1.1 as iMessages never failed this way for me, or at least that a good reset of the phone wouldn't fix. I found extremely ridiculous that now Apple says the solution is to jump through hoops and loops for a temporal solution. I still think Apple systems are more stable and reliable than the others; but I don't want to see the company start to conform with 'good for now' or 'good enough' operating systems.
PS My friend's iPhone 5s have problems to maintain wireless connections to play music in his own house, while the Apple computer works without issue.Â

This would be fine if I was able to do so through my phone, but I am not. When I go to the set-up page to enter my password and try to click on the e-mail accounts button, nothing opens (it never has). Is there a way to fix this so it will open? Or a way to verify my password for now until I can get it fixed? It's really annoying not being able to do so myself.

I am now back on the network, but have lost my internet email account. I go to the setup screen and my 3. Accounts show. I am asked to verify but get the message that 'your session cannot continue'. Now however, I received a message asking my to verify my email address, so in setup, email accounts, there is a list of my accounts. When I type in the password and type verify - I get a message "sorry, unable to continue your session."
Looking online, I've read that I need to register my phone with 02 my service provider. So, when I go to the correct page and enter my pin and IMEI for my phone I receive another message "Your account is not accessible via the HTML browser..." Again, looking online this is due to my phone automatically registering.
I have seen that you can change this in the same email account option where you add emails, but, when I click on the email account option like mentioned before, it presents me with a list on my emails to verify but no other options. I don't know what I need to do now to start my emails coming through again.

We have no problem iMessaging anyone else with an iPhone however to each other it does not work. On her phone the bubbles are still green despite the fact that we both have wifi on and iMessage on yet on mine it will be blue and say delivered but she doesnt recieve anything? However what I have noticed is that on her phone she has no other options such as the 'Send Read Receipts', 'Sent as SMS' or the 'Receive at' which from what ive tested with on my other iPhone friends do have so at first i thought that would be the problem but it can't be because like I said she has no difficulty messaging anyone else with an iPhone. I just got a new iphone 4s, Upgrade from my 3gs. Im on wifi , Texting works internet works, Everything is normal. When i go to activate my imessage and facetime , I type in my username and password like it says and then it just says error check internet connection. However, Im on my personal wifi which works 100% and even when i switch it off wifi it still says the same thing?
