IPhone :: Imessage Not Working Even Though Its Validated
Apr 23, 2012
I cannot get my iPhone 4 to receive messages in imessage. I have 2 iphones on my account, I have done everything and it shows that it is on however still not working.
The internet/LTE on my iphone has stopped working for everything besides phone, iMessage, Facetime (email, safari, and facebook all say they need internet access). I've reset my network, did a soft reset (home and power button). I have internet connectivity since I can do video facetime. What are my next steps to get safari working
Yet another issue with ios 5.1 update!! My iMessage in now not working!I got it going temporarily yesterday but lost it again this morning.I am in a wireless zone and I have re-booted the phone and gone into settings and switched imessage on and off again?? Is anyone else experiencing this?
I have an 4 and an iPad. I recently moved to Germany and do not have cell service. A friend mentioned iMessage to me, and I immediately began using it. However, on my iPhone, when I try to message someone new; I can't. They have to eniciate the conversation with me. And now when I try to respond to some people I already have an iMessage with it changes from blue to green for SMS, which I obviously cannot do without service. My friend suggested turning iMessage off and then back on. Now it says waiting for activation. Why? My ipad works fine.
I've got an iPhone 4, and my iMessages are not working properly.
I've got a Belgian (Mobile vikings) subscription for my mobile internet. Since I've got this, i've been trying to receive my iMessages through my number. This does NOT work. I've tried to reset my text system of my provider, doesn't fix anything. I've resetted my iPhone, no result. And so on...
The weirdest thing is, I've installed my AppleID to receive the messages, and that works! So i can receive on my AppleID, but not my number...
When I try to reconnect, it keeps 'controlling'/'checking' for 15min and that he says it has failed...
I just decided to try iMessage today, after turning it on, entering my apple id, all set to go, but no, it doesnt work I can go into the create imessage where its blue not green and i type out the message. Then send. It says sending before failing when the bar reaches the end. The reciever does not recieve the message.(also dont u think it would be great having facetime on 3gs, and how do u create a personal hotspot on a 3gs?)
I had a problem with my imessage not working all i did was restore it again and there was an update from my carrier and it put my imessage back in action try it
My number is verified, wifi is on but when i go into messages it no longer says iMessage in the box like it did earlier today, it now just says message and I am being charged. It is an iPhone 4S.
I bought iPhone 3GS and Iphone at USA. I have started to use IPhone 3GS after I moved back to India. I have OS 5.0.1 and I'm unable to use IMessage feature. What could be the reason? When I try sending IMessage through IPhone 4S, it works fine (using wifi, that is) but not with iphone 3GS (wifi or cellular network)
iMessage has stopped working with 3G and/or LTE on my iPhone 5 after recently updating to iOS 7.1.1. It works if I am connected to wifi and otherwise my 3G network works fine with all other apps. I have tried reactivating iMessage, rebooting the phone by pressing power and home buttons at same time, and have even restored my phone to the factory settings and still nothing.Â
After I had updated my iPhone4 to iOs 5.1 I have noticed that my iMessage doesnt work. The only way it will work is if i send them using my email and not my phone number it only says "verifying" net to my phone number. I have restarted my iPhone and I have even restored it to factory settings and it still wont work. All it says it "Waiting for activation..." under where you turn iMessage on. Anyway to get it to work with my phone number and not my email?
The mobile number entered for facetime and imessage in 'verifying' state for ever. It also charged 3-4 times for international sms but still my mobile number is not activated for imessage and facetime. This service is not available for India.
I am experiencing some trouble with my iMessage. Just a couple of days ago, I was able to receive and send messages through the iMessage. Until yesterday, a friend of mine sent me messages and I wasn't able to receive them. I also tried sending some of mine too, but it wouldn't. So I did all the necessarry actions needed.
1. Toggle on and off the iMessage from the settings. Didn't work.
2. Reset Network settings. Didn't work.
3. Turned the iPhone on and off. Didn't work.
4. Restored the iPhone, still didn't work.
What could possibly be the reason behind this? And what else could I do?
my internet is working, everything on my phone works but my imessage is not, i dont understand this. the people i am trying to contact have imessage and it used to work, its not them i know its my phone.
As I'm sure all of you know, Imessage and Facetime seem not to work with new IOS 5 updates.I can't seem to understand why, but it seems as if pre-paid users of the Iphone are the people whom are suffering the most. If your anything like me, your able to send imessages and use facetime via e-mail, but that kind of defeats the purpose of having an IPHONE.After countless hours of research and trying little stupid things in settings, I have found my solution. Sadly, this does require a credit card, as well as a purchase of an application (any 99 cent app you want). I personally hate this fact, however it did work for me.The steps I took are simple and are as follows.1. Go to settings, and select your store tab2. Tap your apple id and select "view appleid"3. Edit your payment info by adding a credit card (if you already have one simply add a new one and delete that one)4.Go to the app store and select ANY 99 cent purchase.5. voi la, my imessage and facetime activated within a matter of seconds after purchasing asphault 6- adrenaline rush (or something like that)I am using Rogers pre-paid canada and this method worked for me even using a United States apple id. Another FYI is that it never hurts to have about $5 in your pre-paid account at all times.
My iPhone has suddenly stopped sending iMessages but only to my husband. It will send iMessages to all my other contacts with iPhones but when I try to message my husband it seems to send as SMS with no option. I used to be able to send him iMessages. How can I turn it back on? I have tried logging out and back in again with my Apple ID and also tried rebooting iPhone but it's still not working.
