IPhone :: IMessage Shows Not Delivered On One Device But Delivered On Others?
May 3, 2012
since a few days I have a strange iMessage problem. When I write an iMessage to someone from my iPhone it shows up as not delivered after a few seconds, but the message does arrive at the recipient. If I look on my iPad the same message looks ok, it shows the delivered/read status perfectly normal. When I switch devices, the problem exists the other way around. I get the not delivered status on my iPad but the same message shows up OK on my iPhone. The problem exists on different WiFis and on the 3G network.I already tried to "reactive" the iMessage service on my iPhone but to no avail.
This problem started today. All singular imessages are not responding in this way, so far only the group. After researching I have done the following so far and nothing is working.
1. Turn off/on the phone.
2. Checked for updates. (none)
3. Reset the factory settings.
4. Cleared and re-entered icloud name/password.
5. Turned off/on "group messaging", "mms", AND "sms" just to be sure.
6. Made sure "send/receive" has both icloud and cell number.
I just came home from an international trip and am wondering if some settings or restrictions may be limiting the group messages.
- Messages are not delivered (or they are delivered hours later)
- I sometimes don't receive messages (or I receive them hours later)
- I type in blue (so I think it's an iMessage) but then when I send it turns green.
You can't imagine the consequences of this and how it affected my relation with my girlfriend !!I switched it off and I don't care to find a solution (the same with iCloud).
When I send an imessage through my iphone it delivers and the other person receives it, but on my phone it says "Not Delivered". When the other person sends to me, it does the same. Here is what I have done so far:
Reboot the phone Reloaded the firmware Disabled/reenabled imessage. Turned off "Time Zone Support" iMessage works fine on my iPad, doesnt work at all on my Mac.
I just got a replacement iPhone 4s and now whenever I iMessage someone, it shows that I sent it from my email and not my cell number. People that save my contact info have just added my email to my info and now it shows up as me, but for those who don't need to know my email, how do I change this to just show it sending from my cell number???
i have jailbroken my iphone and i currently don't have a SIM card, according to every website i have set up my iMessage account right but everytime i send a message to someone it says "Not Deliverd". I have an active wireless internet connection and my iphone is connected to the wifi (Tried the DNS), but still doesnt seem to send any messages? Is there a possibility that there's someting wrong with the phone it's self or i might have the wrong things on in the settings?
me and my friend both have iMessage but on his end it, the messages are green, and every time I send him an iMessage it says it has delivered but he does not receive it.
When I sent a message to a non apple mobile, the message was not delivered. why is the iphone 4S not using the preliminary SMS function of the SIM card in this case? Also i cannot use Imessage all the time it some times delayed in its transition due various problems in case of no WI-FI or cellular network.
Whey when I try to send photo along with imessage on iPhone 4s and IPad does it say This iMessage was not delivered. Try again, which doesn't do anything, or Send as Text Message. They are going to iPhones when I send text.
It doesn't say it's not delivered right away but a minute after it was sent. I don't use any other devices for iMessage. I was in a group chat with two other people and they were having the same problem. I've tried resetting my network settings then I reset all settings and it didn't work. I also tried turning off iMessage for a while and it didn't work. What's up with this?
Today I have noticed that when I try to send a sms to a friend in iMessage it doesnt say delivered underneath, and my friend is not getting them, I know that iMessage is working on my phone because it function correctly with other people.
Is it possible for a text message to show "delivered" but actually not be delivered. I sent a text, received the "delivered" notation and the recipient is saying that they did not receive it.
I have an iPhone 4s and whenever I use iMessage and send photos though iMessage, it takes about 5-10 mins to actually be sent and sometimes it does not get delivered, what's some reasons ?
I am having problems today with my 8520 Curve. I keep receiving a message from donotreply@blackberry.com informing me that my emails are not being delivered to my device. It goes on to tell me to turn on the IMAP setting for all mail on my email account and validate my account. Having checked, my IMAP settings are correct so I re-validated my Bkackberry and, for all intents & purposes the email account is now valid. However, I then shortly receive another message exactly the same from donotreply@blackberry.com. I have gone round this cycle 3-4 times now but am still not receiving emails.
I have a strange problem since yesterday. Out of the blue my 9700 (5.0.0.442, free device, Vodafone Germany) can no longer connect to the Internet. The connection to the BIS, however, is still there. It lacks only the right service books. Vodafone said that I should do a software update -> so I installed 5.0.0.536. But the problem persists. The Vodafone-BlackBerry support is then determined that posting the service books hang in a "queue" and can not be delivered. They created a new BIS account for testing, even there the problem exists. My carrier says I have to replace the 9700. But I don't think, that this is a hardware problem. Sounds more like a software problem to me, because some service books still arrive:
Wi-Fi TCP / IP Browser Wi-Fi TCP / IP Transport Save Self VPL D2 WAP 2.0 Wap Push Config Vodafone DE MMS transport Provisioning
Akkupulls, resending service books, wiping and new firmware install brought no improvement. I just despair. Every data connection with no BIS requirement works. (e.g. weather apps)
So, I don't know how this works when you order the new iphone 4, but when you pickup at att or apple they will open the box for you and register everything for you at their office. So if it was delivered then do I just simply switch sim cards? My wife and I are both eligible for an upgrade. We both plan on upgrading to the iphone 4. My wife is currently using a BB with the BB unlimited data plan. Att says that you can keep your unlimited data even when upgrading, but is that for current iphone users? (Can she switch from BB unlimited data to iphone unlimited data?) My wife is not a big iphone fan and I'm scared she might not like it so I was wondering if I had to sell it will att allow her to switch back to her old BB or does she have to stick with it since she upgraded?
if i message while i am taking on phone,The message is not delivered,i dnt know why ??something preventing from sending it.Same is done on WHATSAPP also if i talk on phone it gets disconnected.
I am receiving text messages from a friend, but she can't receive mine when they are sent as an imessage. She and I both have iPhones. I've reset my phone, updated my routing with my carrier, to no avail.
I turned off "Cellular Data" and found, contrary to the above explanation, that iMessages aren't delivered, but sent as SMS. Has anyone been able to send it as an iMessage?
I have an iPhone 4s and I sync my email from an exchange server. I have mail that is delivered to sub-folders in my inbox but these emails do not appear on my phone but I can browse to the folders and see the emails. Is there for these emails to appear in inbox on the phone.
Just recently I've had 3 text messages that were sent by iMessage that were shown as delivered, but the recipients never received them. I've turned it off for the time being, as I can't risk messages being shown as Delivered, and they're not!
